What Would Love Do Right Now in Your Formative Relationships?

As a newborn baby, you smell so good and feel so soft. You are kissable and huggable. You express yourself fully, holding nothing back. Even when you fill your diaper, others see it as an accomplishment.

Newborn babies are so miraculous. They are fresh, untouched, and unscathed by life, love, boys, girls, parents, school, other kids, or siblings. They are pure and precious. Each of us enters the world in this state.

So, what happened? When does this begin to change for us? What happened is life in its fullest measure with all its giving and taking, its longings, disappointments, pleasures, pains, hurt, trauma, abuse, and even death. Over time, we become hardened, dry, unexpressive, angry, bitter, and mean; sometimes we even get abusive. You may not know any other way to be; you may take things out on others around you, especially those you love the most, and the cycle continues. You may be asking, “Is this all there is? There has to be more to life than this.” I am here to tell you…there is!

Your Relationship with Your Parents

Loving and being loved fully starts by healing your relationship with your parents. It’s never too late, even if they are deceased or no longer in your life. Most of your current reality stems from unresolved past experiences while growing up with your parent(s) or primary caregiver(s).

As a young child, the world was all about you and you believed everything bad that happened was YOUR FAULT. For example: if your mother was crying, it was your fault; if your father was angry, it was your fault; if your parents divorced, it was your fault. As a result, you may have thought, “If I were more helpful, my mother wouldn’t be sad,” “If I were quieter, my father wouldn’t yell,” or “If I behaved better, they wouldn’t get divorced.”

As a teenager, you may have shifted the blame to your parents believing every bad thing that happened to you was THEIR FAULT. For example: if your boyfriend broke up with you, it was somehow your mother’s fault; if you didn’t make the team, it was somehow your father’s fault; if you failed your driver’s test, it was somehow your parents’ fault. As a result, you may have thought, “There’s something wrong with me,” “I’m unlovable,” or “I can’t count on anyone.”

As an adult, you may have come to understand that your parents did the best they could, and yet they were less than ideal parents. Like you, your parents were once children. They also experienced many unmet needs, disappointments, hurts, betrayals, and feelings that were never resolved. Like you, out of these unresolved experiences, they drew negative conclusions and developed beliefs about themselves, others, relationships, finances, and life in general, such as: “I’m unworthy and don’t deserve anything good,” “Men hurt me/Women smother me,” or “Life is unsafe and scary.”

It’s important to note that your parents behaved as if these conclusions, beliefs, and judgments were true—they could not be or act any other way— and neither can you.

However, if your inner child is still harboring feelings of hurt and betrayal, or any experiences of neglect, abandonment, or abuse, resolving them— putting them in the past where they belong—can free you to be the person you know you can be.

It’s important to identify and change your resonance with the earlier experiences, the unresolved feelings, and conclusions you came to about yourself, others, and life that are currently keeping you from attaining the extraordinary life you are here to live.

It is never too late to have a great relationship with your parents.

Your Relationship with Others

While you were growing up, in addition to your relationship with your parent(s), your relationships with other people also continue to have an impact on how you relate to others in your day-to-day life.

Consider, as a child, there were moments in your relationships with your playmates or siblings when you may have felt jealous, superior, protective, rejected, shamed, etc. Also, you may have felt forced to interact and be on your best behavior with other family members—grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins. During your school years, how your teachers and coaches related to you may have had a significant effect on your beliefs about your own intelligence, capacity to learn, and ability to compete. All of these relationships continue to affect how you relate to yourself and others, your self-confidence, as well as your view of life today.

This is where Resonance Repatterning® comes in. This method, developed by Chloe Faith Wordsworth, releases the resonance with unresolved harmful experiences, the unmet life needs, along with the resulting feelings and beliefs. You may want to consider going to the Repatterning Practitioners Association website and choosing a certified practitioner you feel guided to working with and give them a call. You’ll be amazed at the results.

May the wisdom inside you take you on a journey into your heart where your greatness abides. Now, that’s living a heart-centered, extraordinary life!

Four Steps to Making Amends

Making amends is about others and restoring those relationships that you have broken or damaged. The desire to make amends arises when you’re willing to take responsibility for what happened and the impact it had on those involved. It’s not suitable for everyday mishaps—it’s best used for significant incidents that warrant extra consideration and may simply depend on the importance of the relationship.

When you harm others and make no effort to repair the relationship, you tend to avoid those people and large areas of your life become closed off. When you begin making amends, you have the opportunity to restore your relationships and have those areas open up again.

Seeking to mend a relationship involves forgiving yourself, offering a sincere apology, making necessary restitution, and accepting responsibility by taking steps to avoid making the same mistake in the future.

Step 1: Forgiving Yourself

Being able to make amends to others starts with forgiving yourself. In his tiny buddha® blog Michael Davidson says, “Forgiving yourself is far more challenging than forgiving someone else, because you must live with yourself and your thoughts 24/7.”

When you’ve done something you consider wrong, the accompanying emotion registers in your nervous system. For example, you may feel guilty if you mistreated someone; or you may feel sad, if you made a mistake that cost you a friendship. When these emotions register, they usually contribute to negative thoughts and limiting beliefs you have about yourself, like “I can’t do anything right,” or “I’m a bad person.”

More than anything else, forgiving yourself requires that you acknowledge your actions have consequences for yourself and others. However, any attempt to forgive yourself—before letting go of the negative emotions and beliefs—won’t work. You’ll just continue to berate yourself, because your nervous system is in control.

Step 2: Offering a Sincere Apology

In order for an apology to be effective, it must be genuine and go to the heart of the matter for the person you wronged. Consider carefully what you’re going to say. Be accountable—don’t make excuses or deflect blame. Be sure to include the crucial words, I’m sorry.

  • State what happened.

“I’m sorry I didn’t pay you back when I promised I would.”

  • Acknowledge the impact your actions had on the other person to show that you fully understand.

“I know it was my fault that you had to cancel your vacation.”

  • Express your desire to restore this relationship.

“Our relationship means a lot to me.”

Step 3: Making Restitution

Whether you’ve robbed someone of time, money, property, trust, attention, dignity, or well-being, it’s important to do what you can to restore that which you’ve taken.

The essence of restitution is finding out what the other person needs and determining if, and when, you can provide that. It starts with an inquiry.

  • Ask what the person needs from you to restore the relationship.

“How can I make it up to you?”

Then, let the other person respond. Just listen. If the request is ethical and you’re willing to fulfill on it, you have two options:

  • Agree to their request and time frame.

“I can do that when I get paid on Friday.”

  • Suggest an alternative if you’re unable to comply.

“I can’t pay you in full now, but I will make weekly payments.”

Step 4: Accepting Responsibility

Accepting responsibility is about making a genuine change in your behavior and taking on a whole new way of living.

Everyone has made mistakes, but the only mistakes that will undermine your happiness are the ones you’re unwilling to admit.

Be honest in expressing what you’ve learned from this mistake. This helps the other person trust that you’re sincerely making amends for your past behavior. Describe the ways in which you’re making changes in your life to refrain from repeating the wrongdoing.

  • Admit your transgression.

“I was wrong to take your money and not honor my agreement.”

  • Tell what you’ve learned.

“I’ve learned that I’ve been totally unreliable about money.”

  • Declare any action(s) you’re taking.

“I’m participating in a debt management course, and I’m having 10% of my paycheck directly deposited into a savings account.”

Keep it simple. A long apology will start to lose its power. Make your points clearly and effectively.

Give the other person time to respond. Grant them the space, time, and freedom to vent, if necessary. Be willing to listen without judgment and accept their point of view, even if some of their perceptions of the situation seem inaccurate. They have every right to feel the way they feel.

Keep in mind, although making amends can free you, it doesn’t always mean that the relationship will be restored—or that the process will be sufficient for the other person to forgive you.

In the Alcoholics Anonymous’ 12-Step program, Step 9 states, “Make direct amends to those people you have harmed wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.” When direct amends is not possible or appropriate, there are many ways to complete the four-step process without personal contact. For example: you could write the person a letter; you could imagine yourself having a conversation with the other person; you could create a collage. Your mind does not know the difference between what is real and imagined, which is why visualization is so powerful.

You will be amazed how clean the slate becomes by making amends. Remember to be gentle with yourself throughout the process.

If someone is making amends to you, let them. Be generous and be gracious. Refrain from making the restitution you request out of proportion with what they did.

This is where Resonance Repatterning® comes in. This method, developed by Chloe Faith Wordsworth, releases the resonance with any unhealed parts of yourself that would keep you from forgiving yourself and/or others.

You Are Love

What is Love?

There are many types of love: love of self, love of your work, love of your parents who gave you life, love of your friends, love of your children, and love of your pets. Then there is romantic love, love of country, and love of God. Each has a different meaning and unique experience. Throughout history, many have attempted to define love. There are biological theories, cultural theories, and psychological theories about various types and styles of love. You name it and someone has written about it. I believe the word love can be used in the process of transforming many areas of your life.

The love I’m speaking about is a heart-centered love—the primal essence of love that permeates all life. It is moving from your head to your heart, surrendering your ego and moving into compassion, understanding, and a deep sense of caring. Asking yourself, “What would love do right now?” from this place, allows you to be more loving in all your interactions.

When two lovers are making love, looking into one another’s eyes and relishing the moment of bliss, they are sharing their experience together so completely that for them nothing else is happening in the entire world. They are engaging in the primal essence of love, shutting out the outer world— nothing intrudes. They are being present in the moment.

I hope you’ve had this experience. If not, maybe you’ve experienced the pure essence of love with a puppy or a newborn baby. This is unconditional love at its finest.

Now that you know the type of love I’m talking about, are you ready to experience it again, or for the very first time? It’s really a choice. However, if you have unhealed incidents from the past, it may not feel like you have a choice. This is where Resonance Repatterning® comes in. This method was developed by Chloe faith Wordsworth, and has been my saving grace since 1989. It releases the resonance with any unhealed parts of yourself that would keep you from experiencing the unconditional love of which I am speaking. You may want to consider going to the Repatterning Practitioners Association website and choosing a certified practitioner you feel guided to working with and give them a call. You’ll be amazed at the results.

You Are Love

Knowing that you ARE love can change the course of your life forever. You can never separate yourself from love—ever! Nevertheless, it may seem as though you’re separate. It is time to awaken to the love you are—to universal love, the primal essence of love that permeates all life.

Sometimes we feel like love is missing and we look to others to provide it. Actually, look no further, you have everything you need—you are love.

What would life be like if you were to wake up and love governed all of your actions and decisions? What would you do, as love? You might start your day by looking in the mirror and saying, “I love you.” Perhaps you would meditate or journal in a sacred space. As love, you could jog, walk, or tend your garden in the morning sunlight. You might take some time to go to breakfast with friends or pick up chocolate-covered donuts on the way to work. When you bring the love you are—to all areas of your life throughout your day—love is what you will experience moment by moment.

Are You a Healer Struggling to Be Seen?

“Step Into the Spotlight”
with Resonance Repatterning®

When I volunteered to be the practitioner for the January 2018 Walking Our Talk group Resonance Repatterning session I had no idea on which topic I wanted to focus. So I let it simmer on the back burner of my mind.

Then one of my friends shared a post on facebook about a retreat. I’ve been thinking of leading a retreat next year, so I was curious to know who was running this event.

I went to the webpage and this retreat looked great! But there was no mention of who was leading it. Ok. Maybe that was an oversight.

But I still wanted to know: “Who is this woman who put together this fabulous offering?” So I looked at her homepage.

Nothing.

Well, surely she’s on her About page?

Nope.

The About page detailed her personal journey from pain to healing. She shared her values and why she loves her work. When I finished reading her page, I felt like I knew a lot about her.

But would I go away on a retreat with her?

No way.

Why?

There was no picture of her.

And she never once even told us her name!

Clearly she put a lot of time and energy into developing her website and telling her story. But, if you want me to get on a plane to some remote, exotic place, and spend 5 days with you, you at least have to tell me your name and show me your picture. Right?

So that’s how my topic for the monthly Walking Our Talk Repatterning emerged.

When “Stepping Into the Spotlight” came to me, I thought, “That’s it!”

That’s exactly what I need in order to move to the next level, both professionally and personally.

I think a lot of healers struggle with visibility issues.

I know I do.

Each step of the way in building my full-time Resonance Repatterning® practice I’ve had to “kick myself out of the nest.”

That’s what I call it.

Seriously.

I know what it feels like when your resistance to moving out of your comfort zone is so strong that it feels like even a stick of dynamite won’t budge you.

So you know what I do?

I give myself Resonance Repatterning® sessions and I receive sessions from other practitioners.

In building my own professional practice, and working with clients over the past 17 years, I’ve learned that there are so many facets and underlying patterns that hold our visibility blocks in place.

Everything from past lives of persecution and banishment (witch trials? Inquisition?), to not wanting to come off as ego-driven or conceited, can make being seen in the world a terrifying thing.

Add in all those generational, family and karmic patterns – with a dash of earlier experiences from this lifetime – of not being seen, heard and believed – and it’s no wonder so many of us shy away from being seen in all of our glorious magnificence!

I think women, especially, struggle with visibility issues. The #metoo movement is bringing to light just how many of us have earlier experiences of unwanted sexual attention.

From catcalls on the street, to groping, to rape – they all leave their energetic imprint.

These earlier experiences give rise to ingrained patterns of “It’s not safe to be seen” and “I need to be quiet and stay under the radar.” And you have to keep chipping away at them.

Have you heard the saying, “New level, new devil?”

I’ve found that with each new level of visibility comes yet another challenge to clear these out-dated patterns at a deeper level.

That’s why this “Stepping Into the Spotlight” Repatterning is ideal for:

• RR Students facing observation for certification
• Newly Certified Practitioners giving RR demonstrations in your local community, and
• Seasoned practitioners ready to up-level their business.

But truly, this session is for anyone who yearns to break free of the chains of the past and be seen and heard in a bigger, more effective way.

If you would like to identify and clear these patterns in yourself, please contact Elizabeth Tobin for a session today. The world is waiting for you!

Can Resonance Repatterning and The Related Skills Dev’t be taught…Online?

I have been on a wonderful journey for the past 9 months exploring the possibilities of training students in Resonance Repatterning ONLINE. My adult son was actually the catalyst for this movement into a new paradigm. I was talking with him about seminar attendance being down these past couple of years and brainstorming with him about it. He asked who I wanted in my classes. I responded that I was interested in students of all ages. His response was immediate; “you need to offer Resonance Repatterning ONLINE”. His generation cut their teeth online. If I wanted to reach younger students, this option would draw them in. They might not be as receptive to taking a class in person. I also started thinking about busy people in general, regardless of their age. What about people who live in remote areas where classes are not scheduled or in other countries?  Were there prospective students who might prefer another option to the traditional weekend schedule of “in person” trainings. Would they appreciate not having to leave their families, fly to a location, book a hotel room and spend their weekend in a meeting room?

The model I have been using for the past 18 years has been wonderful and I intend to continue offering “in person” trainings on location. I love traveling and meeting new people all around the world. They enjoy getting to know each other, bonding and entraining while learning Resonance Repatterning. Yet the classes have been decreasing not growing. Would another choice expand the wonderful experiences I had while teaching in the traditional way? Could we make it work? Would the students feel the power of the work, the connection to me and each other ONLINE?

UpdateClassroom4

So I began my journey to find out. I initially contacted Carolyn Winter last July asking her to partner with me in this venture. I needed someone who knew the process and could handle the technology involved. I was thrilled when she said yes! Then I spoke with Chloe and she fully supported this option so Carolyn and I began doing sessions to resonate with our new possibility. Carolyn researched video conferencing options. We were familiar with Skype but I was not happy with the quality I had experienced. I am a stickler for lip synching being “on.” This led Carolyn to VSEE and we have both been very pleased by the quality of this video conferencing option. The only drawback currently is the limited number of students who can be in the ONLINE classroom at one time. Yet it has been a blessing in our pilot series. We have been learning as we go and our group has weathered any challenge the technology gave us. One student said after the Empowering Yourself seminar:

“This on-line class with Ardis Ozborn and Carolyn Winter was first class from a content as well as a presentation perspective. Ardis’ understanding of Resonance Repatterning is profound and she conveys the information and exercises precisely and patiently. Carolyn, an exceptional practitioner in her own right, was the technical support for this course and kept us all connected for an amazing 8 hours! The inaugural class had a few understandable glitches that allowed us all to learn more about the VSEE format. Ardis and Carolyn make a seamless team and I enthusiastically look forward to the next installment!

I appreciated that feedback, and it confirmed that the personal experience ONLINE was comparable to the “in person” seminars. The added benefit to this group of students was being able to maintain their busy lives and practices while learning something new. I received this feedback after the Fundamentals class:

“Ardis and Carolyn have done it again… created a virtual learning environment that is as enriching as being there in person.  From a technical perspective, the class exists on your computer screen:  you see all your classmates as well as the instructor, Ardis and her first mate, Carolyn!  Interacting is as easy as raising your hand to add something or ask for clarification.  We even get up to stretch or perform a repatterning modality, while Ardis demonstrates.  And when the munchies hit, a snack is as close as my home kitchen.  The convenience, the financial savings and the coziness of curling up with a blanket on the couch while absorbing fascinating material are very hard to beat.  And, to top it all, my cat Lizzie, is an honorary class member!  She sometimes clicks me out, obscures my screen or otherwise hogs the show, but how great is that, that I can bring her to class?!  Fundamental’s expands on the Empowering class and I have been able to immediately apply the Resonance Repatterning process at this level to any issue that arises for me or family members and for my coaching clients as well.  I am eagerly awaiting the next segments.”

We have received inquiries from Europe, Israel and South Africa so we have designed a schedule for our international students to begin in September and finish in March 2014. With this group we will be teaching on their time schedule. It will be dinner time for them and morning for me! We will be meeting Tuesday and Thursday evenings much like a traditional college or university course. This will be another great journey that will undoubtedly have its own learning curve. As long as we are learning we are living.

The success of our ONLINE pilot program has made it apparent to me that growing our community sometimes requires thinking “outside the box.” To that end I will be offering ONLINE observations, which has been approved by the RPA certification committee, to students interested in becoming certified.  It is also open to students who want tutoring and an opportunity to have their questions answered. I have been offering in person group observations for the past 18 years. I usually do these in the areas I travel to for my seminars. Students find it helpful on many levels. It is great to watch someone give a session and then learn from their feedback. This will allow me to support student practitioners from all over the country on their path toward certification. Another exciting journey!

We all have fond memories of our version of the little school room. It is exciting to realize that the internet has opened the classroom doors to allow learning  at a new and exciting level. I look forward to connecting with you!

Significant Opportunity

“What happens when people fail to find their life purpose?”

BY GAIL GLANVILLE

One answer is this:

The World Health Organization predicts that by 2020 the leading cause of disability in women worldwide will be…depression. And not to be selective, the numbers for men are on the rise, too.

Don’t you think this represents a significant opportunity for Resonance Repatterning® practitioners?

There are literally hundreds, even thousands, of people in your market who suffer from depression. 80% of them are going untreated, which leads to lost opportunities, absenteeism, broken relationships and even suicide.

I suggest that the biggest opportunity for making a difference in this country is to target depression and anxiety in your practice (just as practitioners Laura Frisbie and Trine Whist are doing). Help people reconnect with the joy of their life purpose.

Remember the results of Joel Bennett’s Pilot Research Study? 95% of clients felt “better to a lot better” after a session with a Resonance Repatterning practitioner.

Recently I heard from a student who wanted to know how to promote herself, how to talk about her work with Resonance Repatterning so she could start attracting clients. I suggested she focus on depression, and gave her a sample elevator speech:

“Do you know how many people suffer from depression in this state? You’ll recognize them because they’ve lost their joy in life, their sense of accomplishment and meaning. They’ve stopped doing things they love. Most of them struggle along untreated, barely dragging themselves through their days. I wonder if you may sometimes feel the same.

“What I offer are private sessions in a new method of energy psychology that finds the specific source of depression and lifts it 95% of the time…

“So that you regain your zest for life, reconnect to people you love and experience your life as a journey to joy. So that you find your life purpose and begin to create anew on your terms. So that you can become so fulfilled and satisfied that you feel happy all the time.

“My name is Jane Doe, and I am a Resonance Repatterning practitioner. I can help you feel better even after just one session. Rather than telling you about what I do, let me show you, by phone or in person. Here’s my card.”

There is a secret to this approach, which is to resist the temptation to describe the FEATURES of Resonance Repatterning.

Instead weave a story around the proven “feel better” BENEFITS. How are clients actually changed by a session? How are they moved out of depression towards the joy of expressing their life’s purpose?

It is my belief that if a majority of practitioners offered Resonance Repatterning as a solution to depression like this, four things would happen:

  1. Resonance Repatterning would have a better chance of becoming a household word.
  2. Practitioners would build stronger practices.
  3. Both clients and practitioners would enjoy a greater sense of meaning and purpose.
  4. We’d prove the World Health Organization wrong!

What’s your belief?

Gail Glanville

President’s Letter

November 2011

What do the ipod, telephone, and internet have in common? According to Steve Jobs on a taped forum via the TV show 60 minutes on October 23, 2011, he says the common tool is the iphone.  OK, the phone, correct? Is it really far from the old landline that hung on the wall with the dial tone and manual piece, navigated by your index finger? Now this one device, called the iphone, integrates all your products and  software into that unit, thus integrating all your communications into one simple tool.

One cannot help but acknowledge how much ‘virtual’ relationships have changed the landscape of communication since the onset of the internet. The passing of Steve Jobs this month brings this to mind for me as he was the creator of the virtual relationship conduit. Because of this technology, we are able to build relationships with people whom we may never meet and shake hands with or hug. That can be viewed as  the upside of technology, while the downside is the loss of interpersonal  connection or the loss ‘to be seen by the heart,’ as Dr. Rachel Naomi Remen notes in her book “Kitchen Table Wisdom.”  To Be Seen By the Heart is the title of the chapter wherein she describes a moment in her life when she was 3 years old and she meets her dying godfather for the very first time. That moment ‘when we are seen by the heart we are seen for who we are. We are valued in our uniqueness by those who are able to see us in this way and we become able to know and value ourselves.’ When her godfather opened his eyes and saw her, he smiled at her and very softly said, ‘I’ve been waiting for you.’ He died moments later.

Our challenge for our current and future relationships is to obtain and maintain the heart connections with each other.  Our challenge as a member-driven organization is to maintain relationships and support all of us as best we can. Since we are in the virtual environment, we have to be even more diligent in connecting with each other.

To better serve you as a member of the RPA Association, we continue to improve our systems to meet your needs and improve our relationship. In the light of Steve Jobs’ contribution, I view these RPA changes in the spirit of efficiency, inclusion, expansion of services, and directly going out to meeting and addressing the needs of the uniqueness of each of our members. In addition, we have made some streamlined changes at the  Board level, but first before I introduce these to you, I want to share something from Dr. Steven Porges. He is a scientist , researcher, founder and author of the Polyvagal theory.  In a recent webinar I attended, he describes his Social Engagement System that centers on the Heart-Face Connection and the importance of voice, eye contact, and facial expressions. Taking his work and fast-forwarding it to the world of Steve Jobs and the current technology, Dr. Porges has this to say about relationships:

The phone stripped away the voice from the face.

The email stripped the word from the voice.

While the technology will continue to speed forward, we can promote and demand the relationship coherence we expect and need to be with in partnership with each other.

We are trained as Resonance Repatterners in relationship coherence. I invite you to have that with each other and to have that with the RPA. Mutual give and take in this Association is dependent on the growth and stability of this Association. We have so much room for volunteering and new ideas. Please contact me or any of the Board members or Chairs and offer your support. We look forward to working with you!

We are very excited to share these updated and revised opportunities to maintain your CEU’s and share about the new Board structure!

Here are some of the wonderful changes we have made this year:

RPA Board Structure change:

The Board structure has changed from 12 seats on the Board to a 5-member Executive Board. We had our first meeting in October, and I am just thrilled with the Board support in moving in this direction. The Executive Board now consists of: Laura Frisbie, Secretary; Paula Caplan; Joie Jacobsen; Don Giberson; and myself. Josephine Rovari is present during meetings as the RPA Admin Assistant. All the other Board members have moved to Advisory Board chairs of their respective committees.

Continuing Education Changes:

An expanded list of modalities outside of Resonance Repatterning® for continuing education.

This year the Board backdated the timeframe for when non-Resonance Repatterning workshops and events could cover members for CEU’s. We can now go back to July 2010 for programs attended, and if the program is on the list of approved workshops,  you can get CEU credit for attendance. Follow the link for the approved modalities list and also to see how you can log your attendance on your MY Account page. Any workshop or program you attend, you will need to provide a copy to the RPA for record-keeping with the approved number of CEU’s stated on your certificate of attendance by your workshop host. Click here to see the expanded list of approved courses:

http://www.hramembers.org/BoardRoom/Policies/approvedmodalities.asp

Then to update your account  and record of CEU’s, go to the My Account page at the member’s site. You will need your password to sign in.

http://www.hramembers.org/Membership/MyAcctCEU.asp

These are for non-Resonance Repatterning Institute classes earned.  You will need to record the number of CEU’s designated and this needs to show up on your certificate of attendance. Instructions are located there on how to record online and where to mail your hard copy of record of attendance or, you can scan your record of attendance showing CEU’s to Josephine Rovari, the RPA Administrative Assistant. The address is provided on the website in this section.

We are very excited about these additions and how our operations are becoming streamlined and coordinated for efficient use of time and efficient ways to stay certified.

Blessings to each of you~

President’s Letter -Organizational Health

How is the health of an organization measured? Let’s look at Magui (former name Carin) Block’s Organizations Repatterning from her Healing the Family System work. She highlights eight key fundamentals that when operationalized, will create and support a healthy, vital organization. Let’s see how we as an Association are doing in each of these areas:

1)      The right to belong~The RPA has put policies into place to clarify roles and levels of membership status. We hope these policies will anchor each level of membership from Student through Certified Practitioners through Designated Observers.

2)      The balance between giving and receiving~ Balance in this area honors the mutual relationship between collaborators and the organization. I think there can easily be an imbalance in this area primarily because we are almost entirely a volunteer organization. And, one in which very few members step up to volunteer for.

3)      Priority due to years of service~Do we honor the initiators or founders of our system? One goal for the Board this year was to step up communication with the Resonance Repatterning Institute. We have had much more communication with Chloe this year and it has been really rewarding for us as an Association. I think we’ll see fruits of our labors as new energy and enthusiasm emerges from leadership at the RRI and the RPA.

4)      Management has priority~Two years ago, the RPA was without a designated President. Organizations cannot succeed without an administrative or financial manager. Leadership is in place and just recently, we hired a bookkeeper whom the Board feels will organize our books and make necessary financial contributions for the Association.

5)       Performance must be acknowledged~Annually we recognize our members who have given time and talent to the Association. We are so grateful to everyone’s efforts and leadership.

6)      Settlements and dismissals with dignity~It is the Board’s responsibility to dismiss and make changes for the betterment of the Association. Last year, we decided not to continue paying our webmaster which gave the Association an immediate savings of over $6,000. Two years ago the membership adopted the Grievance policy (as part of the Ethics policy) for each member to utilize in the event they felt a grievance needed to be initiated to the Board. This policy provides a solid grievance procedure in the unlikely event action needs to be taken on a member of the organization.

7)      Orientation towards tasks~Do we have goals and tasks? Are we meeting these goals and tasks? You bet! While the Board has goals created at each March Board retreat, each committee has goals they work on as well. One very big goal that isn’t complete is our logo for the Association. Many of these are a work in progress and we continue to need assistance from the membership to help us help each of you. We have also written an Orientation manual for new Board members and plan to write one for newly certified members.

8)      Validating the old ways~Integrating new ideas happen best when the existing ones are validated. This has been a huge sticking point for many of us in the Association. We still get questions such as ‘Why are we separated from Chloe and the Institute’? The Association was separated from the Institute in 2005. The IRS mandated that the Association be created in order to keep membership dues separate from the teaching of Resonance Repatterning. Of course we honor and validate our relationship with the Institute! And we will continue to have a relationship with Chloe and the Institute always.

So, how did we do with our checkup? I believe we are very healthy. Always plenty of  room for growth, improvement, and keeping the Association’s heart healthy and pumping long into the next century. What are your feelings about the health of your Association? Every letter I write I am always asking for your support and encouragement with our tasks and goals. How can you help the health of your association? I think there is one area we did not pass: The balance between giving and receiving. We are a member driven organization and cannot be as healthy in this area as we like because too few people volunteer. Help us improve this area in our checkup. Give to your organization. I would love to see each of you resonate with: “I take from the organization with balance, the same way I give it”. (from the Organizations Repatterning).

Individually and collectively we can create and maintain the Association’s health and well-being. What will you provide this year?  Contact me or any of the Chairs of the committees anytime. We look forward to hearing from you and welcome your support!

And love and blessings to Magui Block for the Organizations Repatterning. You are so appreciated!

With love and blessings to the health of us all~

My Abundance Journey

Sometime in the early 1990’s my friend Gladys Murphy recommended a book to me: The Prospering Power of Love, by Catherine Ponder.  Reading this beautiful little book is where my Abundance Journey began.  At that time prosperity or abundance “consciousness” was so far outside the way I perceived the world that when it was first explained to me I’m sure I rolled my eyes and said “yeah right!”  I’d never uttered an affirmation, never believed that I could ask and not only be “listened to” but answered.  Occasionally I felt quite alone and bereft.  I believed that the Divine or Source was separate from me.  Separate from me just as I was separate from all others.  The paradigm of a holographic universe was beyond me; my view was that we were all of us, alone, isolated, and that our little blue and green planet was simply a rock floating in the middle of the sky.  Before I began my journey I believed that Divine Source couldn’t possibly be right there for me and with me, couldn’t possibly supply abundance, plentitude, or “an overflowing fullness of many blessings.”  And belief, as we know is a powerful thing.

My journey continued.  What I believed to be true evolved and abundance slowly crept into my world.  I spent the rest of the 1990’s “working the problem” of feeling deserving, of wrapping my head around the idea that there’s limitless supply and my “having” doesn’t mean someone else “has not.”   Each year I made more money than I had the year before, which certainly felt good, but still there was an underlying tension because deep down I believed that it could all so easily fall away.  As often as I said affirmations and manifested a higher salary, a nicer apartment, and a car I couldn’t stop to be grateful or even pleased about these gifts showing up in my life.  I didn’t know about the “Integration Process for Completions” and I simply continued to speed forward afraid that if I stopped I’d crash, I’d sink into despair, I’d loose my forward momentum and all would be lost.

In May of 1999 a giant step on my journey occurred when I dragged Gladys and another friend to a free demonstration of something called Holographic Repatterning®.  The wonderful Kenya de Rosa hosted the evening and for Gladys and me it was a life changer.  Gladys immediately began taking classes in “Holographic Repatterning,” and both of us joined a weekly group repatterning series that Kenya offered.  For three and a half years Kenya hosted this group for creative artists working to clear away the blockages that kept each of us from achieving all that we desired for our creative selves and lives.  There were lots of different non-coherent beliefs, earlier experiences and issues blocking our ways, but one theme that rose up for us again and again was a lack of abundance–of time, of confidence, and certainly of money.

After a couple of years of showing up weekly and seeing “what was up” for the group that week, Kenya arrived one Monday evening with a book called The Dynamic Laws of Prosperity by–you guessed it–Catherine Ponder.  It had been perhaps ten years since I’d read The Prospering Power of Love, and though I’d bought other books of Catherine’s such as The Dynamic Laws of Healing I hadn’t gotten this, her first book on prosperity.  Kenya suggested that we might want to work on prosperity and abundance exclusively for a while and we all agreed to get the book and go through it week by week.

The Repatterning practitioners reading this article, who’ve had the training and have the tools, all probably make sure that they resonate with any intention or affirmation that comes to them and hopefully enjoy the abundant blessings that Divine Source so happily supplies.  At the time Kenya’s group started on The Dynamic Laws, being able to literally shift myself ON so I was resonating with an affirmation was a revelation for me.  Having been in Kenya’s group I’d become pretty familiar with not only the idea of “resonating” with something, but how that actually felt in my system.  I could look back on things I’d thought, said or done and know when I was resonating with it and when I was suffering from that push-me-pull-you tension of wanting something with part of me while another less visible part was pulling hard against it.

We’ve heard it said and probably say it ourselves: intention is everything.  According to Dictionary.com – “intention” is defined as: “an act or instance of determining mentally upon some action or result.”  Okay, but what about our mental state when we’re doing the determining?  Only when my system has been shifted ON for a particular affirmation can I feel that I’m physically and mentally pulsing with power and joy while “affirming” it.  This feeling of power and joy is quite different from the feeling of desperation I’d sometimes experienced in the past as I’d endlessly repeated “Divine Love and Divine Wisdom prosper me NOW.”

I originally moved to New York City to study acting and to make my living as an actress.  There are lots and lots of different classes available here designed to help actors find their fire, loosen up their instruments, learn a particular method, become “camera ready” and to radiate “star” quality.  While I was stuck in my earlier beliefs of lack and scarcity, I could never bring myself to spend much money on classes.  I could manage to hand over a weekly rate to a teacher, class by class, but the idea of plunking down hundreds for a seminar or series just froze me.  By the time I’d received some 130 to 150 sessions in Kenya’s group, I felt safe enough to let money flow out and safe enough to trust that it would flow back in.  Interestingly, by this point in my journey, when I was finally able to have a little trust that the abundant universe would supply me with what I needed, I didn’t choose to sign up for an acting seminar; I chose to study Resonance Repatterning® instead.

I signed up to take Fundamentals of Holographic Repatterning in the summer of 2002.  I was nervous but also excited about having Holographic Repatterning as tool and knowing how to use it.  I was delighted that I would soon be able to identify and shift myself ON for new intentions, but also be able to find those problematic beliefs that were keeping some of the icky stuff stuck.   Knowing that I would soon be able to identify this “stuff” and then use a modality to create a shift so I’d be ON for the good–and OFF for the icky stuff–was fantastic.  By the autumn of 2002 I’d taken Fundamentals, Primary Patterns and Transforming Unconscious Patterns.  All the work I was able to now do for myself, as well as the sessions I’d received in the past, helped me get to the point in my journey where I was able to pause and acknowledge when good “stuff” seemed to simply show up in my life.  I was now able to understand physically, emotionally, mentally and in spirit that this is the “overflowing fullness of many blessings” that is the result my being ON for abundance. (Editor’s note:  Holographic Repatterning officially became Resonance Repatterning in May 2006)

I was able to take the basic seminars as well as some of the advanced classes in the next couple of years.  I also had the great good fortune to be in New York City, where the generous and gifted Meryl Chodosh-Weiss teaches Resonance Repatterning, hosts a monthly skills development group, is a designated observer and can certify practitioners.  When the RPA devised the “I Declare” program with the intention of re-categorizing practitioners as “Student,” “Student I Declare,” or “Certified” instead of Level One and Level Two (certified) practitioners, Meryl galvanized our monthly group into action.  Many of us “declared” and set our sights on achieving our certification by the proposed June 2007 deadline.  All of you who are certified practitioners or active “I Declare” students know it takes time and effort to complete the certification process.  It takes people showing up and being willing to work with you and receive sessions so you can get your practice in and master this system.  It takes patience with yourself and a belief that you can do this and are meant to do it.  It takes a sincere belief that the universe will rise up to meet and support you, it takes a belief in abundance; there will be time enough, clients enough, money enough, and determination enough to achieve your goal.  And you better believe we, as group and individually, repatterned and repatterned and repatterned ourselves so we were ON for these abundant beliefs.

I achieved my goal of becoming a certified practitioner of Resonance Repatterning in June of 2007 along with my dear friend and fellow traveler Gladys, but this was certainly not the end of any of my journeys, abundance or otherwise.  From the time I began in Kenya’s group, through my training and certification process I was making my living as an Executive Assistant working in the Financial Services sector here in New York City.  Sometimes I was working for giant companies like Goldman Sachs and others for tiny boutique Investment Banking firms.  I was surrounded by many examples of wealth, both personal and corporate.  I was also surrounded by many individuals who seemed to feel they must continue to speed forward, afraid that if they stopped they’d crash, sink into despair, loose their forward momentum and all would be lost.  On the days when I was most coherent, it was interesting to realize that people making anywhere from three to one hundred times my salary felt less abundant than me.

In 2008 when the economy took its tumble, I joined the millions of unemployed and was granted an opportunity to seize the day, shift my focus and see if I could create a private practice for myself as a practitioner of Resonance Repatterning, along with several other energy modalities I’d begun to study.  I was excited, terrified and a little nauseous when I recalled that, in 2005 during my interview for the job I’d just lost, I’d boldly told my prospective manager that my five-year plan was to have my own private practice as an energy healer by 2010.  As I realized I’d stated this crazy intention out loud, thoughts like “Golly Moses! is that dang universe always listening?” and “This is another fine mess you’ve gotten us into Ollie!” chased their way through my head.

Well, now what?  The abundant universe had just supplied me with the one commodity I’d always found in the shortest supply–TIME.  That may be the scariest thing that’s ever happened to me.  Despite the fact that I’d achieved coherence in many areas of my life, I was still holding onto this bizarre belief that I was like some species of shark–if I stopped swimming I’d die.  And what I most needed to do was take a really big pause, get very very quiet and let myself live in the present moment.  It took me a number of months to work through my relationship with and beliefs about time.  Once I’d made some peace in this area, I was able to be more awake in the present in the moment.  Being more awake in the present moment allowed me to see how Divine Order was playing itself out in my life.  After that, I was able to turn my attention to the task at hand, which I saw as “can I create a private practice for myself and live my life in prosperity, peace and safety?”  Once more the abundant hands of the universe provided me with some amazing assistance.

Just prior to my official termination date from my job, I was put in contact with my wonderful Life Coach Deborah Todd.  Deborah lives in Illinois and is friends with one of my dad’s best friends.  So I found my perfect Life Coach because my father, the plumber, is friends with Deborah’s friend, a master carpenter, and he brought Deborah along one day to deliver a present to my dad.  I got a great gift too!  Deborah and I do an exchange of services and the work we do on both sides has had an enormous and positive effect.  I would not be here today writing this article without her guidance, intelligence, care, support and the gentle but firm pushes that I require from time to time.

I would also not be here today without the amazing support I’ve received from fellow Resonance Repatterning practitioners who embody generosity, intelligence, practicality and community.  In the beginning of 2010 I needed to speak to Liz Tobin about the upcoming Annual Conference and while we were chatting I told her that I was attempting to start my private practice.  She told me that when she began hers someone suggested that she try offering a 100 Days of Prosperity proxy package for $100 – just a dollar a day.  Liz told me she tried it and it worked quite well.  Liz is a master of the proxy group.  I’m currently enrolled in her “Transforming Money Archetypes and Karmic Contracts” proxy group series, its great and if you haven’t checked out her work, I totally recommend it.  I also recommend Beth Polito’s “Lunation” proxy group that works on the lunar cycles.  Being able to receive regular sessions in this manner has had a powerful and profound effect on me, my life and the work I’m able to do.

I officially launched my business in February of 2010 with the arrival of my very own website.  This was one month shy of the five year mark I’d so crazily intended in that long ago job interview.  I’d invested in a MacBook when I lost my job, so I was able to build the site myself using Apple’s iWeb software.  Building the site, and continuing to work on it, has been a surprising joy for me, and engages me on multiple levels.

By April of 2010, I was ready to try out the 100 Days series for myself and got so much out of it.  Once in the groove of doing a proxy session for my group each day I often lost sight of who was the giver and who was receiving.  The energy that the group created to move all of us forward was an honor and a joy to hold.  Doing the series stretched me in wonderful ways and on quite a few occasions I sort of ended up writing our own repatterning from what “was up” in the group.  The series was so well received that I offered a second series in October 2010.  The second series was even more popular and profound than the first and the feedback I’ve received has been tremendous.  A fellow Resonance Repatterning practitioner, who was a member of the group, wrote the following:

“100 days of prosperity–amazing!  A VERY deep healing experience.  While I can honestly say that money flowed more easily into my life, more importantly, areas of my life that were less than functional and coherent were transformed.  During the 100 days, I achieved a comfortable body weight that I have sought for over 3 decades without success. I was able to safely lose 30 lbs. in 7 weeks.   The structure of my financial life shifted.  For example, a gas-guzzling, repair-needing car has been traded in for a fuel-efficient new car that makes the whole family happy.  A computer system to support an additional income source was easily purchased at a very good sale price.  CORE things that affect my entire family’s prosperity shifted.  I recommend anyone who has the chance to do this work!  It is a gift!”

This is a journey and this is life, so there are coherent days and non-coherent days.  There are days when I somehow feel plugged into a giant cosmic engine and other days when I wouldn’t feel grounded if I filled my pockets with rocks and walked barefoot in the grass.  The primary thing I’ve come to understand in my journey thus far is that in working on Abundance we work on the full spectrum of life itself.  Delving down and identifying the blockages we have when it comes to giving and receiving, aligning with our masculine/feminine aspects or feeling safe and deserving touch core patterns that exist across all features of our human landscape.  In working to align with abundance we must chase our every feeling, belief and experience of scarcity, lack or shortage out of the dark and into the light.  We need to be fearless and to be gentle, compassionate and passionate, we need to empower and to allow ourselves to flourish and to thrive.

Transformative Moments

What a remarkable coincidence that the theme of our issue is “Transformation” and it is our first time to publish in blog format!  Our Repatterning Practitioners Association Journal is continually transforming.  These changes in its form brought us face to face with the question Sally Herr so wisely asked, “Where does the Journal live?”

Our answer?  The Journal lives in the hearts and minds of its readers; us; our community of Resonance Repatterning Practitioners.  And who better to ask about transformation than this community?  And what could be a more fitting area of interest than our very own transformation into Certified Practitioners?

And perhaps best of all, what could be a better way to encourage our community to participate in our new blog journal than to gather input from its members?

So…using the online list of practitioners, I sent an email with three questions to those in the United States that listed a website (there are close to fifty).  I received eight email replies.  I also called the first half of the list and did spontaneous interviews with another seven.  (If I do something like this again, I’ll call the second half of the list, to keep it balanced.)

Connecting with you (the practitioners) has been a delightful and rejuvenating experience for me in so many ways!  I love hearing and sharing what you have to say and I hope you enjoy what your community has to say about their transformation experiences.

1.  “Was there a moment when you knew that you had achieved the skill and confidence needed to be a practitioner?”

Responses that related to certification:

  • “At my final observation, I knew nothing about my client, who arrived in a wheelchair with advanced muscular dystrophy for his first session.  He was unable to use his arm for the muscle check.  I got out of my process and my only concern became his successful experience.  We discovered his fingertips worked for the mc.  I knew then that I had enough skill to be a creative problem solver on my clients’ behalf.  It was a beautiful to be part of his first experience of his energy moving.  And I discovered myself as ‘Presence.’ ”    Patti Towhill
  • “The moment I was certified – it was like going to see the Wizard of Oz.  Even my husband remarked that I was a different woman than the one that walked out the door that morning. I might have had the confidence all along, but the stamp of approval gave me a real boost.”  Elizabeth Tobin
  • “I knew during/just after my last supervision.  I had not passed four supervisions  and was feeling very discouraged.  This client was not a “difficult man”– which was the type of client that in those times were preferred for supervision.  She was a career woman who had just lost her professional license.  The entire session consisted of energy constriction work.  The entire room was riveted.  It was a powerful session and she left smiling.”     Sally Herr
  • “I remember feeling how much fun this process was.  Like each session was a journey of discovery that seemed so easy to me compared to other processes I had done.   Doing sessions with my fellow students every week helped a great deal.”    Bobbie Martin
  • “My first session–when I charged money–felt like a christening.  It was proof that it was something valuable.  Feedback on how helpful it was confirmed to me that I was a practitioner.  There were lots of stellar moments between transforming from student to practitioner, but the defining moment was the money.”  Cynthia Paul
  • “At my observation Ardis said I smoothly facilitated the session and moved skillfully with the client while “holding the healing space” – helping to lead the person to a higher state of coherence.  Later that day I felt major shifts, I felt grounded, happy, confident, and at times exhilarated.”  Ray Iasiello
  • “I distinctly felt a new energy welling through me during my observation. It was a warm honey-like energy, a flowing inner smile of calm and assurance.  This inner aspect still comes forth for sessions, it feels different than my normal self.”  Laura Frisbie

About gaining mastery over time:

  • “I knew when I obtained a flow because I knew the material and also when my clients started sending their loved ones and friends to me for sessions.”  Victoria Benoit
  • “I don’t recall a particular moment.  My confidence increased as I received more and more positive feedback from clients.”   Jennifer Foster

About trusting self and the process:

  • “The defining moments all had one thing in common – learning to trust myself.  I had to trust it always, no matter what, or else I could not possibly do this work.  So I made the decision to trust it consciously and that was a turning point. Many times I heard a small voice in my head saying “this can’t be right” but I ignored it and the voice got softer and softer and disappeared.  Trusting my instincts has helped tremendously with doing proxy sessions and working with animals.  The more I trust myself, the more successful I am. Learning to trust myself has been a journey for me and one I am still on.”  Leah MacLeod
  • “Learning the repatterning process enabled me to learn to trust it and myself (something I had in very limited supply—witness the dependence on cookbooks and sewing patterns.)   I learned to trust especially as I started to see results with my clients even when it seemed to me that nothing ‘spectacular’ had happened in a session.”    Kathie Joblin
  • “My mentor Bobbi Martin spoke to my early concern about not being good enough. She said to set an intention to only attract clients that match my level.  After that I had no worry and it never happened!   I learned the material and became a good technician, confident that when I follow the process exactly I can’t make a mistake because I’m muscle checking.” Wendie Theus
  • “Everything I ever learned in my life helped shape me into a practitioner.  I’ve always been in the field of communication and have always had the confidence to know I can achieve what I want.  In the first hour of the first seminar, I knew.”  Michael Fischer
  • “I chose to be a practitioner almost immediately.  I had been to two sessions and a class and I got so excited that I went to more classes in New York and then just kept on going.  I had a degree in psychology and a master’s in early childhood education.  I was surprised at how well I had prepared for something I had never heard of!  It was just what I had been looking for, it offered all the pieces that nothing else offered in the same way. “  Lynn Morgan

2.  “Was/is there a specific skill, talent, or quality that you possess (or that you gained in the process) that helped transform you into a confident practitioner?”

  • “Now, many years later, I can see that transformation is going on all the time.  It’s either a slow evolutionary process, or sometimes it’s a ‘whack on the side of the head’ !  But it is inevitable. The work I do has shaped my thinking, perceptions and attitudes around the subject of transformation.”  Kathie Joblin
  • “Transformation is what I love most in life, whether it is mine or those whom I support.  Because I spend so much of my energy on my own transformation work, I bring lots of tools to support others.”  Sally Herr
  • “I would say that my specific quality/skill is the ability to hold a space of complete acceptance, love, and compassion for my clients.  This makes it easier to go deep with them and create profound shifts.”  Jennifer Foster
  • “My ability to create a sacred space and to “be with” the client rather than focusing on the books, so they have an experience of being gotten.”  Victoria Benoit
  • “My willingness is to transform, to be in the process, continually.  Transformation is on-going.” Elizabeth Tobin
  • “Intuition is one of the strongest things that has developed in my practice. I am able to feel in my body what is going on.  Even if the client is not aware, I would put it out and often they would become aware that it was the blocks that needed to be cleared.” Lynn Morgan
  • “I was fully present with the material, which then allowed me to become fully present with myself, with myself as Presence.”  Patti Towhill
  • “I seem to be a born confidant and spiritual cheerleader.  I practice “beginner’s mind” and remember that I do not and can not know what is best for another along with a commitment to the higher purpose in all experiences.”  Laura Frisbie
  • “I am very sensitive to Energy Constrictions. There are always at least one in every session, it is a given.  I do long sessions and sometimes there are three or four energy constriction releases; I’d say at least one or two per hour.”  Lindis-Chloe Guinness
  • “My skill, which I honed more and more with Repatterning, was connecting the dots for myself and others.  I think it was innate for me and became even more apparent as I did the work.”  Bobbie Martin
  • “I am detail oriented versus the more feeling oriented, which I think most practitioners are.  I can’t make a mistake because I follow the process exactly.”  Wendi Theus

“One can talk about being present, but it’s not a command performance. This was the most difficult thing for me to acquire.  I can’t even say how I learned to contain enough safety to simply BE with another except that I practiced (by offering dozens of sessions).  And I asked for help.

I know that rhythmic breathing is required as well as feeling my body in the chair, my feet on the floor.  I feel my attention diffused throughout my being rather than concentrated in my head.  My eyes feel soft and I can move my awareness into my heart.  From the heart space, I can fill the room with loving presence and effectively entrain with my client.

I have also learned the value of asking for help.  Before every session, I connect with ancestors and friends who are no longer in physical life but come readily into my awareness when asked.  I breathe their presence into my energy field.  This is deeply comforting and fills me with confidence that I can meet whatever challenges arise.  When a difficult moment comes, I slow down and consciously focus on my breath and the connection to spiritual support.  I do what it takes to be present because there is no other way I can hold a healing space for them.  As a result, I serve my highest good because I want to serve others.”   Tina Beneman

3.  “Is there a particular skill or quality that, in your opinion, is crucial for transforming one into a confident practitioner?”

  • “Being intuitively tuned into the client.”  Michael Fischer
  • “Not staring at books but engaging the client, going beyond the mechanical to a quantum leap of professional healing.”  Patti Towhill
  • “Aside from mastering basic technique, the most vital skill is the ability to be present.” Tina Beneman
  • “Comfort with mystery and paradox in general.”  Laura Frisbie
  • “If I had to name one quality, I would say trust—trust in oneself and trust in the repatterning process to take us where we need to go.”  Kathie Joblin
  • The most important quality is willingness to show up.”  Sally Herr
  • “I tell my students that practice, practice, practice does it.”  Bobbie Martin
  • “My ability to create a sacred space and to “be with” the client rather than focusing on the books, so they have an experience of being gotten.”  Victoria Benoit
  • “Being able to easily navigate the manuals and to bring clients successfully through the process, and also to truly hear what a client is saying beyond the words they are speaking.” Jennifer Foster
  • “Desire, commitment, and perseverance.”  Elizabeth Tobin
  • “Intuition”  Lynn Morgan
