The Power of Love

“Getting gotten” and “being present” are essential to experiencing the power of love. These concepts are defined here for clarity.

The experience of getting gotten occurs when another is so present with you that you feel heard, seen, known, and understood for who you truly are, and know that anything you say or do is accepted as an act of love.

Being present involves a conscious act of awareness—mindfulness. It replaces automatic perceptions of situations with an actual experience of living in the moment. Mindfulness is the art of living right in the center, between past and future—it is living in the present.

Therefore, being present means being fully conscious of who you are, where you are, what you are doing, and whom you are with at that exact moment. No images of the past and no dreams of the future interrupt this awareness. There are no distractions or other places you’d rather be. Nothing else matters. Your body, mind, and heart are one.

The following excerpt from Buddhist literature is offered to illustrate being fully present—what the Buddhists call mindfulness:

A man once asked the Buddha, “What are the teachings of you and your disciples?” Buddha answered, “We sit, we walk, and we eat.”
The man replied, “But, everyone sits, walks, and eats.”
The Buddha answered, “Yes, but when we sit, we know that we are sitting. When we walk, we know that we are walking. When we eat, we know that we are eating.”

There is nothing like the experience of being present, or the experience of getting gotten! It is the primal essence of love that permeates all life. It is so powerful it takes your breath away.

This is where Resonance Repatterning® comes in. This method, developed by Chloe Faith Wordsworth, releases the resonance with any unhealed parts of yourself that would keep you from being present for yourself and others, as well as being present to being gotten. You may want to consider going to the Repatterning Practitioners Association website and choosing a certified practitioner you feel guided to working with and give them a call. You’ll be amazed at the results.

May the wisdom inside you take you on a journey into your heart where your greatness abides. Now, that’s living a heart-centered, extraordinary life!

You Are Love

What is Love?

There are many types of love: love of self, love of your work, love of your parents who gave you life, love of your friends, love of your children, and love of your pets. Then there is romantic love, love of country, and love of God. Each has a different meaning and unique experience. Throughout history, many have attempted to define love. There are biological theories, cultural theories, and psychological theories about various types and styles of love. You name it and someone has written about it. I believe the word love can be used in the process of transforming many areas of your life.

The love I’m speaking about is a heart-centered love—the primal essence of love that permeates all life. It is moving from your head to your heart, surrendering your ego and moving into compassion, understanding, and a deep sense of caring. Asking yourself, “What would love do right now?” from this place, allows you to be more loving in all your interactions.

When two lovers are making love, looking into one another’s eyes and relishing the moment of bliss, they are sharing their experience together so completely that for them nothing else is happening in the entire world. They are engaging in the primal essence of love, shutting out the outer world— nothing intrudes. They are being present in the moment.

I hope you’ve had this experience. If not, maybe you’ve experienced the pure essence of love with a puppy or a newborn baby. This is unconditional love at its finest.

Now that you know the type of love I’m talking about, are you ready to experience it again, or for the very first time? It’s really a choice. However, if you have unhealed incidents from the past, it may not feel like you have a choice. This is where Resonance Repatterning® comes in. This method was developed by Chloe faith Wordsworth, and has been my saving grace since 1989. It releases the resonance with any unhealed parts of yourself that would keep you from experiencing the unconditional love of which I am speaking. You may want to consider going to the Repatterning Practitioners Association website and choosing a certified practitioner you feel guided to working with and give them a call. You’ll be amazed at the results.

You Are Love

Knowing that you ARE love can change the course of your life forever. You can never separate yourself from love—ever! Nevertheless, it may seem as though you’re separate. It is time to awaken to the love you are—to universal love, the primal essence of love that permeates all life.

Sometimes we feel like love is missing and we look to others to provide it. Actually, look no further, you have everything you need—you are love.

What would life be like if you were to wake up and love governed all of your actions and decisions? What would you do, as love? You might start your day by looking in the mirror and saying, “I love you.” Perhaps you would meditate or journal in a sacred space. As love, you could jog, walk, or tend your garden in the morning sunlight. You might take some time to go to breakfast with friends or pick up chocolate-covered donuts on the way to work. When you bring the love you are—to all areas of your life throughout your day—love is what you will experience moment by moment.

The Birds of the Air

An ancient Chinese proverb says…….

‘That the birds of worry and care fly above your head, this you cannot change.

But that they build nests in your hair, this you can prevent.’

Ever since I first read this quote I have been struck by the message it portrays, and its similarity with the way Resonance Repatterning© works. Life is filled with many problems – just like birds – circling in the air above my head! But I can choose how much of a hold to let them have over me.

According to Chloe Faith Wordsworth, the creator of Resonance Repatterning©, it is not our problems that cause our distress. Rather it is our reaction to them – often driven by our unconscious patterns. It is our energetic attraction to these patterns – our resonance with them – that keeps them in place.

As a result of my resonance with negative patterns, I become stuck, and mired in my problems. They can seem overwhelming, and I feel hopeless. A Resonance Repatterning session can shift my energy so I no longer resonate with my current reaction to my problems. The problems themselves may not have gone away, especially if they are outer things beyond my control, but I feel differently about them. I may feel lighter and brighter, or be able to see my issues with a different perspective, or dream up solutions I hadn’t thought of before. I may even find my problems simply melting away – like the morning mist evaporating in the sun.

I certainly don’t have to let those birds build nests in my hair!

21 QUESTIONS TO ASK YOURSELF ABOUT FACEBOOK

If you are finding the current demise of Facebook challenging and feeling a bit edgy you are not alone. The lack of regard for our privacy and the data leaks has caused many to experience stresses in their social circles. Perhaps some of your friends have deleted their accounts, or many have just gone dead silent.  A sense of loss may have crept in when the friendly Smart Phone beeps delivering FB alerts has gone from 100 messages to a trickle. Your inner turmoil may be reflecting the addiction we all have to Facebook or the desire to connect.

Every echelon in society had questions for Mark Zuckerberg’s testimony at the USA Congress.  Though we have to rely on powers higher than us to ask those questions, there are plenty we can ask ourselves when arriving at a decision whether to delete our Facebook account or continue.   Consider these questions from a healing and trans-formative point of view:

  • Can you trust Facebook?
  • Can you trust others on Facebook?
  • Can you trust yourself on Facebook?
  • What can’t we trust about ourselves on Facebook?
  • Do I tell the truth?
  • Do I tell others the truth?
  • Do I tell myself the truth?
  • How do I live with the truths I do not like?
  • How do I recognize when I am lying to myself or others?
  • Can I recognize when others are lying?
  • What facts do I want to believe as the truth?
  • What facts do I want to dismiss so that I can dismiss the truth?
  • Can I discern the difference between the truth and a pseudo truth?
  • In the scheme of things, I am insignificant. How can Facebook get anything from me or do anything to me?
  • How does Facebook mirror the lies I tell myself?
  • How do I escape the truth on Facebook?
  • How do I want to live my life?
  • What facts on Facebook do I believe are true? How do I know they are true?
  • What is the truth?
  • Am I enlightened enough (free of pain, non coherent patterns, and past hurts and able to live my truth) to participate on Facebook being the truth of who I am?

Personally, I wish I could say I trust Mark Zuckerberg.  However, I look at his birth process pattern for this company – he took the idea away from someone else and only years later settled with them out of court.  Has his resonance changed much since the inception of the company? My fire chakra is churning and my gut says maybe not. Is it my water chakra addiction to the easy social connection provided by FB that helps me live with it or want to turn a blind eye?   The questions for me keep coming. Where have I refused to see a thief in my life in the past?  Do I want to keep paying the price? Do I respect myself? Is there life after Facebook?

If I continue on Facebook I am aware I am entraining with a corporate field of energy built on the unspoken principle that it is okay to steal or what can we get away with? – principles that seem to still be operating with the inner circle at Facebook given their slow responses and milk toast answers. Is that mirroring something in me?

Corporations like Facebook will continue -it’s too lucrative not to.  Since we are living in a rapidly connected world –it’s  also argued that using the situation as an excuse to step away from social media will cause those who do so to become marginalized.

If we can’t trust ourselves on Facebook  perhaps it is because of our own unconscious patterns that we project onto our news feed.  To continue in a healthy wholesome way means that we need to up our own game of inner enlightenment and action. Specifically we need to ….

  1. Commit ourselves to personal growth and transformation (we like Repatterning work for that!)
  2. Live a life where we tell the truth to ourselves and others and then act with integrity
  3. Commit to being informed and demand transparency of companies like FB. We each need to exercise leadership taking action where we can – write our concerns to government officials for example.

Who knows? By taking a pause and examining our own patterns involved with Facebook participation, we ourselves may evolve to create personal safety anywhere online.  As an added bonus our enlightened perspective and actions may change the FB leadership, and others for the best – creating an even better Facebook environment.

So while there are lots of questions to ask Mark Zuckerberg, we may well turn this opportunity into questioning our own part and how we too may need to change.

With love and light

Are You a Healer Struggling to Be Seen?

“Step Into the Spotlight”
with Resonance Repatterning®

When I volunteered to be the practitioner for the January 2018 Walking Our Talk group Resonance Repatterning session I had no idea on which topic I wanted to focus. So I let it simmer on the back burner of my mind.

Then one of my friends shared a post on facebook about a retreat. I’ve been thinking of leading a retreat next year, so I was curious to know who was running this event.

I went to the webpage and this retreat looked great! But there was no mention of who was leading it. Ok. Maybe that was an oversight.

But I still wanted to know: “Who is this woman who put together this fabulous offering?” So I looked at her homepage.

Nothing.

Well, surely she’s on her About page?

Nope.

The About page detailed her personal journey from pain to healing. She shared her values and why she loves her work. When I finished reading her page, I felt like I knew a lot about her.

But would I go away on a retreat with her?

No way.

Why?

There was no picture of her.

And she never once even told us her name!

Clearly she put a lot of time and energy into developing her website and telling her story. But, if you want me to get on a plane to some remote, exotic place, and spend 5 days with you, you at least have to tell me your name and show me your picture. Right?

So that’s how my topic for the monthly Walking Our Talk Repatterning emerged.

When “Stepping Into the Spotlight” came to me, I thought, “That’s it!”

That’s exactly what I need in order to move to the next level, both professionally and personally.

I think a lot of healers struggle with visibility issues.

I know I do.

Each step of the way in building my full-time Resonance Repatterning® practice I’ve had to “kick myself out of the nest.”

That’s what I call it.

Seriously.

I know what it feels like when your resistance to moving out of your comfort zone is so strong that it feels like even a stick of dynamite won’t budge you.

So you know what I do?

I give myself Resonance Repatterning® sessions and I receive sessions from other practitioners.

In building my own professional practice, and working with clients over the past 17 years, I’ve learned that there are so many facets and underlying patterns that hold our visibility blocks in place.

Everything from past lives of persecution and banishment (witch trials? Inquisition?), to not wanting to come off as ego-driven or conceited, can make being seen in the world a terrifying thing.

Add in all those generational, family and karmic patterns – with a dash of earlier experiences from this lifetime – of not being seen, heard and believed – and it’s no wonder so many of us shy away from being seen in all of our glorious magnificence!

I think women, especially, struggle with visibility issues. The #metoo movement is bringing to light just how many of us have earlier experiences of unwanted sexual attention.

From catcalls on the street, to groping, to rape – they all leave their energetic imprint.

These earlier experiences give rise to ingrained patterns of “It’s not safe to be seen” and “I need to be quiet and stay under the radar.” And you have to keep chipping away at them.

Have you heard the saying, “New level, new devil?”

I’ve found that with each new level of visibility comes yet another challenge to clear these out-dated patterns at a deeper level.

That’s why this “Stepping Into the Spotlight” Repatterning is ideal for:

• RR Students facing observation for certification
• Newly Certified Practitioners giving RR demonstrations in your local community, and
• Seasoned practitioners ready to up-level their business.

But truly, this session is for anyone who yearns to break free of the chains of the past and be seen and heard in a bigger, more effective way.

If you would like to identify and clear these patterns in yourself, please contact Elizabeth Tobin for a session today. The world is waiting for you!

Warm greetings from Tina Beneman in the Baltimore area.

One of the greatest treasures in my Resonance Repatterning practice is the relationships kindled with other practitioners. I am so lucky to trade sessions with three amazing professionals. I also mentor and practice with two outstanding students.

In addition to great tips and insights, hearing the words others use to express concepts is so helpful. I heartily encourage others to “buddy up.” In addition to the pleasure of fellowship, it is vital to receive sessions yourself and feel the power of the work we offer. This experience never fails to strengthen me and my commitment to “be the change I want to see in the world.”

Another huge plus is learning from what others are learning . My buddy Shyama Orum recently completed Donna Eden’s Energy Medicine practitioner training . She discovered a fantastic series of U tubes that demonstrate many techniques. Just listening to Prune Harris speak in her lovely English accent is a modality in itself! After watching the videos, I can easily make additions to the modalities list so that new techniques are handy to include in sessions.

So how about you? I would love to hear what others are discovering to add even more value to our work in the world.

On we grow!
Love, Tina

Poetry, a healing modality expressing the soul

I have written poetry for many years, very free form, and because of that, saw it as a less than qualified piece of writing to share.

I also used poetry as a healing modality many times in my practice of Resonance Repatterning. When it comes up for a client, they usually say, I can’t write a poem. I tell them it’s simply words from the soul and there is no need to rhyme or say it in a certain way. Many times I check for the number of lines, could be 4 or 5 or more. Then I leave them alone to be silent, listen to the words that come up for them and to simply write. It’s always amazing and they are always astounded at what comes out. At one time I saved all of these poems and considered writing a short book about the healing modality of poetry. One of those unfinished thoughts so far.

And I remember at Resonance Repatterning conferences how, many times, Chloe would have the whole group write a poem as a healing. We would all volunteer a word of phrase. They were all written down on a flip chart. And when it muscle checked we had enough, then she would muscle check which phrase was first, which was second, and so on. It was magical what would evolve out of these co-creations.

So I now am giving myself the freedom and opportunity to share more of the poems that I have been drawn to write in the last 2 or 3 years. Its been an action-packed time, with relationships, deaths and expansion, so a great deal of fodder for the soul and my continually evolving consciousness. This was a post I wrote on Facebook in July of this year. I admit after my first urging to share it, I had to do it quick that morning, before I changed my mind.

“I am choosing to do something that feels vulnerable and the artists, whether they be musicians or writers or actors that I admire all talk about the pieces that get the most response are the pieces that come from deeply inside of them. I have long admired their courage. So I am sharing this stream of consciousness poem that I did this morning in response to a personal event in the hopes that it has meaning for any or some of you. Or maybe I just need to step up emotionally naked and have the experience. Not sure and probably all of the above. Initially, there were 109 responses, (Facebook helps track everything, of course) and I had a writer friend who shared with me that my poem received more hits than his published blog pieces. It did seem to speak to a lot of people. So I will share my post here and hope this article inspires something for you, whether its personal, in your practice or in your life somewhere. “

There is always something
To feel hurt by
To regret
To be disappointed by
Deeply disappointed
And there is always
Beauty and wonder
Love and satisfaction
Deep and fulfilling satisfaction
There is always
Wonder and excitement
And always, always
New possibilities
The magic of above and beyond
That is what I am always reaching for
Above and beyond
The limitless that allows soaring
The infinite that feels no limits
While at the same time
Honoring the boundaries
That honor this body, this moment,
That helps me deepen into
The vastness of the worlds
Within this world of this moment
This cell, this infinite universe
Within, within, within.
There’s always a new way to go
When the expected journey is blocked
A new way to feel
When the present feeling
No longer serves.
A new way to love
When the present way of loving
Starts to feel
Too tender or fragile
For the moment.
I am grateful for all these
Possibilities
And the challenges that
Open the door to them.
I am grateful for you and me
And all that is before us
And behind us
And most of all I am grateful
For Now.
A deepening and expanding of Now
The Now within me which is infinite
The Now in this world
Which surprises, pleases
Frustrates, saddens and twists me,
And stretches me beyond all
The Nows before
Thank the God/dess there is always something.

Taking Charge of The Energy of Work Place Stress

“Organisms do not experience environments. They create them.” – Richard Lewontin, geneticist

I can’t claim to know this quote but was inspired with it in Margaret Wheately’s new  book “Who do We Choose to Be?- Facing reality, Claiming Leadership – Restoring Sanity”. I think of Wheately as the Deepak Chopra/Chloe Wordsworth of business and management consulting. Her new book is as wonderful as her first from 1992 “Leadership and the New Science” and a must read for those working in situations in need of a new kind of leadership.

In my practice I meet many people who very unhappy in their corporate lives. They start with many fingers pointing at management, difficult colleagues, budget restraints etc. and mostly feel victimized and hopeless. They can initially get quite irritated with me when i explain how the energy of a group works and where they can own their own power to make a difference. Internally if feels justified to blame others because we feel innocent.

The road back is to realize that everyday in every moment we are at a point of choice and can choose to be happy, relaxed, and in a peaceful state of mind. We have the brain hardware to do this and we can control it. However, we can easily fall into a victim state (myself included) when life happens unexpectedly or at least not how we wished it would. We may find it hard to resist options readily provided by our lower brain and unwittingly accept it’s invitation to think negatively – blaming, complaining, being afraid, reactive etc. What we may not realize is that whatever we choose, brings an energy to our field of influence… our family, our coworkers, our volunteer work etc. We create our environment.

What environment have you created for yourself? Consider who is showing up there to hang out with you. What is the tone of the group? Do you feel valued and valuable in this environment? Are you fulfilled? Is it nurturing? Rewarding? Does it make you want to get out of bed in the morning? Is your current experience the one you wanted for yourself?

A great source of unhappiness I see in my practice is for clients facing workplace stress, toxic relationships and general unhappiness. At work they feel unfulfilled and sometimes bullied. The office politics and gossip pool wears them down. It may take a few sessions, but most people start to turn things around when they resonate with taking positive action that makes a huge difference. Simple but effective  things include:

– appreciating the work of others
– asking clearly what they need to get the job done
– clearing up misunderstandings in the moment
– following through with their own commitments
and more.
– discovering their own non coherent group patterns and clearing them goes a long way
– creating new patterns of making others feel welcome and part of the group along with entrainment goes a long way

A new client informed me he was finally convinced about the power of repatterning when he returned to his old formally toxic work place. The same people were there, but the atmosphere was noticeably more positive and uplifting. After doing coffee with a few of his former colleagues he concluded it was the person doing repatterning work on himself that made the difference to the group. At that point he wanted in.

It does not matter where you are on the corporate ladder, when you create your environment to ‘be the change….’ you not only change your experience for you, others will experience it as well.

Notice something positive in your environment today.   Appreciate yourself for the positive thought!

With love and light
Carolyn

Borderline Personality Disorder

Sometimes during the course of one’s practice of Resonance Repatterning, one comes across a number of symptoms involving low self-esteem, or a high level of insecurity. These individuals may have a difficult time staying in loving relationships because of certain extreme behaviours. We would characterise this as non-coherent behaviour, while at the same time the client would have certain intentions which we would characterise as positive intentions that they do not resonate with. So we say that ‘Problems are something we have that we don’t want, and intentions are something we want but don’t have,’ and when we’ve identify that, we look at the underlying Unconscious Patterns, not Subconscious, because it could come from our D.N.A., conception issues, parental issues, etc.

Common problems that appear in people suffering from, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) include:

  • Frequent displays of anger
  • Unstable self-image
  • Irritability
  • Anxiety
  • Impulsiveness
  • Extreme opinions and judgement of others
  • Passive, aggressive behaviour
  • Suicide threats

Individuals with this condition frequently change their goals and aspirations. They may go through friends quickly or change their sexual orientation.

There may be some risk factors historically, especially in their formative years, such as:

  • Being abandoned as a child or teenager
  • Coming from a seriously dysfunctional family
  • Having a normal childhood disrupted
  • Being a victim of verbal, physical or sexual abuse as a child

Here are some possible scenarios:

  • Improving the quality of your relationships, by identifying what is and isn’t working for you and changing it (Unconscious Pattern)
  • Understanding how your unique personal life’s story may impact you attitudes, thoughts and beliefs in order to facilitate change in those which are ineffective (Positive Intention)
  • Gaining insight into your relationship conflicts (Unconscious Pattern)
  • Learning communication, coping and problem solving skills (Positive Intention)
  • Becoming more confident in your relationships, including yourself, being able to speak up for yourself, set boundaries and build demonstrable resilience (Positive Intention)
  • Helping you become more satisfied with what you have and how to get what you want, if you are not (Problems to Opportunities) Adrian Krauss, M.F.T

Whatever a person speaks has a two-fold effect. One is the Action, and the other is the Reaction. The reaction resounds in and near the speaker and creates the same type of thought-currents in his environment. Thus whatever thoughts, virtuous or wicked, emanate from him, they engender their exact resonance. This is an inviolate and unrelenting law, which operates in connection with both animate and inanimate objects alike. It cannot be erased. Give Your Business an Acupuncture Tune-Up

Journeys With Oz

Using the 5 Element Theory of acupuncture and the related business qualities of each meridian as presented in Chloe Wordsworth’s “Transforming Five Element and Meridian Patterns with RR” you can reset the energy for any aspect of your business.   It is a most creative use for the Meridian and 5 Element patterns where you will proxy   the ‘system of energy’ represented by your company.  Ultimately we are talking about the energies of all the people past and present that comprise the entity of your  business that now  forms a group field of energy.   You may be drawn to the idea of Repatterning your business because you have a business problem, but equally, you may want to start this Repatterning with your company vision or a set of intentions for your company.   Check for what is needed – the system often surprises us on where we need to clear patterns.
