WE ARE ONE

We are one, and yet…
How is it we do not know it?
Where is the unity?
Where is compassion?
Where is understanding, acceptance and love?
And most importantly of all, what are we without them?

We reject each other
We reject ourselves
We reject our body parts, our thoughts, our emotions
We reject who we are, but where does that get us?

We are so much more than our limitations
We are light
We are bliss
We are love and unity

Let’s let go of our destructive patterns
Let’s leave behind separation and judgement
For we are one,
And we are strong,
And we are powerful,
United

You Are Love

What is Love?

There are many types of love: love of self, love of your work, love of your parents who gave you life, love of your friends, love of your children, and love of your pets. Then there is romantic love, love of country, and love of God. Each has a different meaning and unique experience. Throughout history, many have attempted to define love. There are biological theories, cultural theories, and psychological theories about various types and styles of love. You name it and someone has written about it. I believe the word love can be used in the process of transforming many areas of your life.

The love I’m speaking about is a heart-centered love—the primal essence of love that permeates all life. It is moving from your head to your heart, surrendering your ego and moving into compassion, understanding, and a deep sense of caring. Asking yourself, “What would love do right now?” from this place, allows you to be more loving in all your interactions.

When two lovers are making love, looking into one another’s eyes and relishing the moment of bliss, they are sharing their experience together so completely that for them nothing else is happening in the entire world. They are engaging in the primal essence of love, shutting out the outer world— nothing intrudes. They are being present in the moment.

I hope you’ve had this experience. If not, maybe you’ve experienced the pure essence of love with a puppy or a newborn baby. This is unconditional love at its finest.

Now that you know the type of love I’m talking about, are you ready to experience it again, or for the very first time? It’s really a choice. However, if you have unhealed incidents from the past, it may not feel like you have a choice. This is where Resonance Repatterning® comes in. This method was developed by Chloe faith Wordsworth, and has been my saving grace since 1989. It releases the resonance with any unhealed parts of yourself that would keep you from experiencing the unconditional love of which I am speaking. You may want to consider going to the Repatterning Practitioners Association website and choosing a certified practitioner you feel guided to working with and give them a call. You’ll be amazed at the results.

You Are Love

Knowing that you ARE love can change the course of your life forever. You can never separate yourself from love—ever! Nevertheless, it may seem as though you’re separate. It is time to awaken to the love you are—to universal love, the primal essence of love that permeates all life.

Sometimes we feel like love is missing and we look to others to provide it. Actually, look no further, you have everything you need—you are love.

What would life be like if you were to wake up and love governed all of your actions and decisions? What would you do, as love? You might start your day by looking in the mirror and saying, “I love you.” Perhaps you would meditate or journal in a sacred space. As love, you could jog, walk, or tend your garden in the morning sunlight. You might take some time to go to breakfast with friends or pick up chocolate-covered donuts on the way to work. When you bring the love you are—to all areas of your life throughout your day—love is what you will experience moment by moment.

Lovingly Submitted,

Book Review: The Power of Eight by Lynne McTaggart

The Power of Eight by Lynne McTaggart: Harnessing the Miraculous Energies of a Small Group to Heal Others, Your Life, and the World

Not long after completing my Resonance Repatterning training 20 years ago, a number of my colleagues and I were inspired to do ‘long distance healing’ sessions for a large group using the Repatterning proxy method. There is a sequence of energy work principles, learned through the training, that leads even the most cynical among us to believe these sessions work and produce positive effects. I personally was thrilled to receive group member feedback on the surprising, unexpected yet delightful shifts that occurred for participants, in my long running annual holiday repatterning for “The Best Holiday Season Ever”. However, one day a man wrote to me asking for proof or research that validates the process.

I was stumped. That was 2002 and I then started to search for answers online.  In my journey I was excited to discover the research work of Elizabeth Targ, an American psychologist and researcher, who received significant funding to study the power of long distance healing and prayer. It was a long term project and I showed up at the half-way mark where exciting early results had been announced. I tried to get in touch with the researcher only to learn to my deep sorrow, that she had died – at the age of 40 only two days earlier.  Her loss was accentuated in that no one else seemed to be doing her type of research into long distance healing – or so I thought.

Among the many condolences online, was one from a woman who mentioned that she was covering Targ’s work in her soon to be published work of nonfiction, called “The Field”.  Within a few days I had her book in hand and was excited to be able to read about the dozens of scientists working on a variety of alternative healing related topics.

The author, Lynne McTaggart, an American journalist, married to a Brit and  living in England, reports on the findings of research into alternative healing and energy work , with several notable books to her credit. From her earliest best-selling nonfiction work in the late 90’s “What Doctors Don’t Tell You”,  she went on to write “The Field”, “The Intention Experiment”, “The Bond” and most recently “The Power of Eight – Harnessing the Miraculous Energies of a Small Group to Heal Others, Your Life, and the World”.

Her curiosity, persistence, and quest for answers brought light to scientists working away at the questions raised in relation to alternative healing. From the dusty basements of many universities and institutions – often closeted away as their work was not considered important – many of these scientists did not know of each other’s research until Lynn McTaggart put them in touch with each other. Lynne is the Agatha Christie of this writing genre, taking the reader through the questions in her mind and those of the scientists – she reveals the answers from the best of the research papers and her own experiments. The reader is left on the edge of their seat throughout this latest book,  as she reveals the evidence and makes a startling conclusion about the intending power of a group.

I was excited to hear about Lynne’s newest book “The Power of Eight” as it promised   to answer my original questions about the group healing work we do as Resonance Repatterning practitioners – either in person and frequently for a group – in absentia or by proxy.

In the Intention experiment, Lynne in collaboration with scientists, set up elaborate controlled experiments, where 500 people in a hotel ball room send thoughts to one of 2 plants in a university lab in Arizona.  All done in real time, the plants with loving attention did  better that the control plant which received nothing. What she ignored was the experience of the intenders of these experiments. The participants tried telling her about their altered experiences and how things have healed in their lives since that time. This finally got her attention and she decided to study and write about it further.

For most healers, and certainly the Repatterning community, we might smile at her naivete in the outset of her journey and rejoice at her arrival to what many healers knew all along.  I am certain her discoveries explain the healing experiences of Repatterning Practitioners and  their clients – especially group participants.  Some of the key points or discoveries she makes relevant to Repatterning work include:

  • Her earlier peace intentions demonstrating that a group intending peace for an area of the world can make a difference
  • participation as part of a group is different that praying on your own and raises the possibility of the miraculous happening.
  • intending for people outside of ourselves, brings back amazing, unintended  results to the intenders; it is as though you as a participant are part of the healing wave.
  • her observation that altruism is a major factor – good healers facilitate from a place of compassion and giving.
  • healing can happen in virtual time. Lynne went from having a controlled experiment  of  everyone focusing on the same thing at the same time to having intenders look at an image in their own virtual time  – it still works.
  • that all you need is a group; in the end the experiments with highly controlled variables were not necessary.

One of my favorite conclusions, that Lynne theorizes near the end of the book, is how she describes what I would say is an experience of our interconnectedness.  She raises the possibility that human consciousness possesses the ability to create a psychic internet –  that we are in touch with anything or anyone by using focused attention to login.

What we do in Repatterning work is so much more than everyone staring at a picture of a seed at the same time to intend and create a shift. We are able to use kinesiology and a map to determine the energy that needs to shift, determine the best starting place for the energy to shift, or that is most ready to shift today. Knowing that anything imputed to a living system can change its energy, we have the tools for determining what would create the most appropriate shift. We know that in our group sessions we can include future participants – the hologram of our session is anticipating them in that quantum space where time is non-linear. Most of all we know that it is an interconnected world and we each have our own clearing to do to create the world that we desire.

I would recommend this book to anyone who would like concrete evidence that the alternative healing work they are considering or receiving works, and why. It will give you insights and inspiration to clear your own energy field for an enriched life. For Repatterning practitioners, this book will validate for you the work you have studied and now facilitate for others. What we understand as ordinary – for the rest of the world is truly extraordinary.

With Love and Light

Be the Change in the World

As international Women’s Day approached this month, I found myself reflecting on how 2017 was quite the year for regular media announcements about women’s rights and women’s equality or the lack of it.
What has seemed different though is the strength of the female voice that has arisen recently. We have had social media for a while now so what has changed, I wonder.

Did we reach a tipping point?
Was that it?

Was it that so many women spoke out, that they were heard by enough others that even those who had until then been quiet, ended up speaking out, too?

Now in the USA training in sexual harassment is taking off in an unprecedented way, and lawyers have more lawsuits on their hands, but little fundamental change is really occurring if you read what those involved are saying …
and little real change will occur until societies norms change.

Norms arise from what we believe and all over the world women have been in second place and their fundamental rights ignored for centuries. Even when we think we have become enlightened we find out that we have not moved on that much. Deep underneath, our unconscious beliefs govern our behavior and it is not until these patterns clear and positive uplifting ones are put in place of the old ones, that we have a chance of transforming our norms.

No matter how much we might protest, what governs what comes into our lives are our unconscious beliefs. Those beliefs that we are unaware of …. the ones we have and are not aware we live by, the ones that are there deep down from previous generations of women who felt powerless to challenge the status quo and whose physical survival depended on the men in their lives. The ones from earlier generations, from our mother’s and our father’s family lines.

So when international women’s day came around on the 8th March this year, and in view of all the unrest I’d witnessed, I found myself taking the only kind of action that I knew could make a difference to the plight of women around the world. I chose to do a Resonance Repatterning session.

In Resonance Repatterning, of the many processes we have for change or transforming negative patterns, we have one called “Intention for a New possibility”. This is an exercise for setting what you want to happen in the short, medium or long term ….. in your life, your work, your relationships, in all areas.

Because we are all connected no matter how near or how far, we can use one person as a proxy for everyone else. In Resonance Repatterning, we first identify all aspects of the change we want to make, and then we find the healing modality that will enable the shift to occur and later check how the resonance has changed. Because we are all connected, we also have the potential to connect with each other and feel any change that occurs.

On 8th March, when my Resonance Repatterning colleague, Sophia Avramides, and I conducted an Intention for a New Possibility session for women around the world, the statement that emerged was:

“We close the gender gap in pay around the world. Everyone receives equal pay for equal work regardless of gender, age, race or anything else”

At the start of the session, we were not resonating with this intention; at the end of the session, after identifying all of the different aspects and after doing the modality for change, we were resonating with closing the gender gap in pay around the world and everyone receiving equal pay for equal work regardless of gender, age, race or anything else. Beautiful!
You can listen to a recording of the session and also get a pdf document of the same by going to this write up at the World Peace Hologram website.

Here I want to write more about the healing modality that came up for the session. Through muscle testing we identified that the Hatha Yoga Lion Pose was needed, and at the end of the session it also came up as a positive action.
When a post session positive action comes up, it does so to embed the energy shift that has already taken place. In this case though what was most unusual was that it came up to repeat this every day until the end of the month – another twenty three days.

My thought about this was that the shift that was needed around the world through the many different cultural beliefs and norms was so enormous, that the energy needed to keep being amplified, one person at a time, all around the globe until we were all connected.

Can you imagine all of us connecting in this way ….

with the same positive action,

one highly visible easy to do pose?

It’s as if we have been given a gift to exercise our ability to take part in world wide change. Imagine if we all believed that quantum change were possible, perfectly easy and instantaneously possible.

I am smiling at the thought of all the Lions and all the Lionesses around the world sticking out their tongues, old and young, big and small, all glaring at each other, claws out, paws pointing, roaring and releasing all the anger and frustration of the centuries …. and then letting go of and allowing relaxation to take over ….. each muscle letting go, and a wave of relaxation starting from around the eyes and cheek bones, moving to the jaw, throat and neck and all the way through the shoulders, arms, hand and fingers …. ending with hands now relaxed and calmly resting on your knees, happy to be still and in a comfortable place.

What image comes into your mind when you see this intention being realised …. We close the gender gap in pay around the world. Everyone receives equal pay for equal work regardless of gender, age, race or anything else!!!

We know that thoughts, images, ideas and intentions create our reality.
Think and therefore it is.

Thank you for doing the Lion Pose with us 🙂

 Thank you for changing reality!

My first blog. What is a blog? Answers for the computer illiterate.

I have been asked to write a blog for the RPA journal. But what is a blog? I’m not sure I know. I went to the shelf and pulled out my trusty dictionary and looked it up – it wasn’t there. Throughout all my school years and throughout all my children’s school years, the dictionary sitting in its place on the bookshelf has given us the answer to so many questions – but not this time. Not the word ‘blog’. I had to resort to that modern day ubiquitous resource – the computer – and look it up online! As we do so often nowadays. I am told a blog was originally ‘weblog’ adapted to………’we blog’.

Like my mother, who having spent most of her life without that simple luxury we all take so much for granted – a shower – couldn’t see why after years without one, she should need such a thing – just because everyone else wanted her to have one. Or indeed, even a computer. And so she didn’t. In that same way – having myself only had a computer in the latter part of my life, it is difficult for me to see why I would want to blog, or even to read the blogs of others.

I suppose blogs have replaced what used to be the magazine article which one would take home to pour over in a relaxing tea break. Although the less serious hyped up scandalous in-your-face ‘news items’ – that now abound on ‘t-internet ‘- are more what has taken the place of that. You know what I mean, the ones that grab your attention while you’re not looking, that get you reading but land you up nowhere useful.

So what about those more serious, actually useful and informative types of articles? Where are they lurking?  The ones that require a bit more diligence to find? How do I find my way to something I actually want to read? Something relating to my passion, or my line of work – the healing arts, energy medicine, and Resonance Repatterning?

And that’s where the RPA Journal blog comes in. Like all things on the internet, you have to know where to look to find it. Once you have been there often enough you don’t even notice you’re ‘searching’ any more, you just know the way. But when you haven’t been there that often, it’s a bit harder to recall the route, especially for those of us who didn’t grow up in the computerised age. It’s a bit like finding your way down a rabbit warren.

The RPA journal blog is just a few clicks away – if you can remember which ones they are! You can speed that journey by saving it in your ‘favourites’. So for those of us who, like me, need to be dragged kicking and screaming through a hedge backwards to get into the world of computers, blogging is a bit of an alien concept. But having been pushed and pulled, coaxed and cajoled, by colleagues in the RPA, here I am having a go!

I haven’t said anything very much so far, yet I wonder how many hearts I have touched, or sparked interest in. Just to show yourselves, or each other, how this whole gig works I invite you to comment in the ‘comments box’ below. Just a few words of your own experience, or your response to reading this article, or blog to be more precise, or what it evoked in you. And then you will be doing it too!

Yes, I think I’ve got it now – blogging is a dialogue that connects us all, even to others we haven’t met before. And if I did that with the telephone, I’d be considered weird! If I just dialled up a random number and struck up a conversation with someone I don’t know. But here on the blog post page – which isn’t really a page -it’s ok to do that. You can find me, and see who I am, and read what I have to say, even if it’s nothing at all. You can comment back in the chat box, or even write a blog of your own. You may even have, or dare to create, a website all of your own – and blog to your own audience there – or both!

What’s more, if you do leave a comment or click on ‘like’ here, or someone does that for you on a blog post you’ve written, it creates a cyberspace ripple that leads to more traffic, or publicity,  for you and your interest –  as here in Resonance Repatterning – your business and mine.

Like casting my fishing hook out upon the waters and waiting for a fish to bite, I cast my blog out upon the internet waves and wait for someone to read and hopefully respond. Just really creating waves of moving energy – like a spiral up!

So click away, type away, blog away all; come blogger, come student, come practitioner all.

Let’s pick up our heels and fly away all; and answer that enticing, blog-away call!

On We Grow

Warm greetings from Tina Beneman in the Baltimore area.

One of the greatest treasures in my Resonance Repatterning practice is the relationships kindled with other practitioners. I am so lucky to trade sessions with three amazing professionals. I also mentor and practice with two outstanding students.

In addition to great tips and insights, hearing the words others use to express concepts is so helpful. I heartily encourage others to “buddy up.” In addition to the pleasure of fellowship, it is vital to receive sessions yourself and feel the power of the work we offer. This experience never fails to strengthen me and my commitment to “be the change I want to see in the world.”

Another huge plus is learning from what others are learning . My buddy Shyama Orum recently completed Donna Eden’s Energy Medicine practitioner training . She discovered a fantastic series of U tubes that demonstrate many techniques. Just listening to Prune Harris speak in her lovely English accent is a modality in itself! After watching the videos, I can easily make additions to the modalities list so that new techniques are handy to include in sessions.

So how about you? I would love to hear what others are discovering to add even more value to our work in the world.

On we grow!
Love, Tina

President’s Letter -Organizational Health

How is the health of an organization measured? Let’s look at Magui (former name Carin) Block’s Organizations Repatterning from her Healing the Family System work. She highlights eight key fundamentals that when operationalized, will create and support a healthy, vital organization. Let’s see how we as an Association are doing in each of these areas:

1)      The right to belong~The RPA has put policies into place to clarify roles and levels of membership status. We hope these policies will anchor each level of membership from Student through Certified Practitioners through Designated Observers.

2)      The balance between giving and receiving~ Balance in this area honors the mutual relationship between collaborators and the organization. I think there can easily be an imbalance in this area primarily because we are almost entirely a volunteer organization. And, one in which very few members step up to volunteer for.

3)      Priority due to years of service~Do we honor the initiators or founders of our system? One goal for the Board this year was to step up communication with the Resonance Repatterning Institute. We have had much more communication with Chloe this year and it has been really rewarding for us as an Association. I think we’ll see fruits of our labors as new energy and enthusiasm emerges from leadership at the RRI and the RPA.

4)      Management has priority~Two years ago, the RPA was without a designated President. Organizations cannot succeed without an administrative or financial manager. Leadership is in place and just recently, we hired a bookkeeper whom the Board feels will organize our books and make necessary financial contributions for the Association.

5)       Performance must be acknowledged~Annually we recognize our members who have given time and talent to the Association. We are so grateful to everyone’s efforts and leadership.

6)      Settlements and dismissals with dignity~It is the Board’s responsibility to dismiss and make changes for the betterment of the Association. Last year, we decided not to continue paying our webmaster which gave the Association an immediate savings of over $6,000. Two years ago the membership adopted the Grievance policy (as part of the Ethics policy) for each member to utilize in the event they felt a grievance needed to be initiated to the Board. This policy provides a solid grievance procedure in the unlikely event action needs to be taken on a member of the organization.

7)      Orientation towards tasks~Do we have goals and tasks? Are we meeting these goals and tasks? You bet! While the Board has goals created at each March Board retreat, each committee has goals they work on as well. One very big goal that isn’t complete is our logo for the Association. Many of these are a work in progress and we continue to need assistance from the membership to help us help each of you. We have also written an Orientation manual for new Board members and plan to write one for newly certified members.

8)      Validating the old ways~Integrating new ideas happen best when the existing ones are validated. This has been a huge sticking point for many of us in the Association. We still get questions such as ‘Why are we separated from Chloe and the Institute’? The Association was separated from the Institute in 2005. The IRS mandated that the Association be created in order to keep membership dues separate from the teaching of Resonance Repatterning. Of course we honor and validate our relationship with the Institute! And we will continue to have a relationship with Chloe and the Institute always.

So, how did we do with our checkup? I believe we are very healthy. Always plenty of  room for growth, improvement, and keeping the Association’s heart healthy and pumping long into the next century. What are your feelings about the health of your Association? Every letter I write I am always asking for your support and encouragement with our tasks and goals. How can you help the health of your association? I think there is one area we did not pass: The balance between giving and receiving. We are a member driven organization and cannot be as healthy in this area as we like because too few people volunteer. Help us improve this area in our checkup. Give to your organization. I would love to see each of you resonate with: “I take from the organization with balance, the same way I give it”. (from the Organizations Repatterning).

Individually and collectively we can create and maintain the Association’s health and well-being. What will you provide this year?  Contact me or any of the Chairs of the committees anytime. We look forward to hearing from you and welcome your support!

And love and blessings to Magui Block for the Organizations Repatterning. You are so appreciated!

With love and blessings to the health of us all~
