Can Resonance Repatterning and The Related Skills Dev’t be taught…Online?

I have been on a wonderful journey for the past 9 months exploring the possibilities of training students in Resonance Repatterning ONLINE. My adult son was actually the catalyst for this movement into a new paradigm. I was talking with him about seminar attendance being down these past couple of years and brainstorming with him about it. He asked who I wanted in my classes. I responded that I was interested in students of all ages. His response was immediate; “you need to offer Resonance Repatterning ONLINE”. His generation cut their teeth online. If I wanted to reach younger students, this option would draw them in. They might not be as receptive to taking a class in person. I also started thinking about busy people in general, regardless of their age. What about people who live in remote areas where classes are not scheduled or in other countries?  Were there prospective students who might prefer another option to the traditional weekend schedule of “in person” trainings. Would they appreciate not having to leave their families, fly to a location, book a hotel room and spend their weekend in a meeting room?

The model I have been using for the past 18 years has been wonderful and I intend to continue offering “in person” trainings on location. I love traveling and meeting new people all around the world. They enjoy getting to know each other, bonding and entraining while learning Resonance Repatterning. Yet the classes have been decreasing not growing. Would another choice expand the wonderful experiences I had while teaching in the traditional way? Could we make it work? Would the students feel the power of the work, the connection to me and each other ONLINE?

UpdateClassroom4

So I began my journey to find out. I initially contacted Carolyn Winter last July asking her to partner with me in this venture. I needed someone who knew the process and could handle the technology involved. I was thrilled when she said yes! Then I spoke with Chloe and she fully supported this option so Carolyn and I began doing sessions to resonate with our new possibility. Carolyn researched video conferencing options. We were familiar with Skype but I was not happy with the quality I had experienced. I am a stickler for lip synching being “on.” This led Carolyn to VSEE and we have both been very pleased by the quality of this video conferencing option. The only drawback currently is the limited number of students who can be in the ONLINE classroom at one time. Yet it has been a blessing in our pilot series. We have been learning as we go and our group has weathered any challenge the technology gave us. One student said after the Empowering Yourself seminar:

“This on-line class with Ardis Ozborn and Carolyn Winter was first class from a content as well as a presentation perspective. Ardis’ understanding of Resonance Repatterning is profound and she conveys the information and exercises precisely and patiently. Carolyn, an exceptional practitioner in her own right, was the technical support for this course and kept us all connected for an amazing 8 hours! The inaugural class had a few understandable glitches that allowed us all to learn more about the VSEE format. Ardis and Carolyn make a seamless team and I enthusiastically look forward to the next installment!

I appreciated that feedback, and it confirmed that the personal experience ONLINE was comparable to the “in person” seminars. The added benefit to this group of students was being able to maintain their busy lives and practices while learning something new. I received this feedback after the Fundamentals class:

“Ardis and Carolyn have done it again… created a virtual learning environment that is as enriching as being there in person.  From a technical perspective, the class exists on your computer screen:  you see all your classmates as well as the instructor, Ardis and her first mate, Carolyn!  Interacting is as easy as raising your hand to add something or ask for clarification.  We even get up to stretch or perform a repatterning modality, while Ardis demonstrates.  And when the munchies hit, a snack is as close as my home kitchen.  The convenience, the financial savings and the coziness of curling up with a blanket on the couch while absorbing fascinating material are very hard to beat.  And, to top it all, my cat Lizzie, is an honorary class member!  She sometimes clicks me out, obscures my screen or otherwise hogs the show, but how great is that, that I can bring her to class?!  Fundamental’s expands on the Empowering class and I have been able to immediately apply the Resonance Repatterning process at this level to any issue that arises for me or family members and for my coaching clients as well.  I am eagerly awaiting the next segments.”

We have received inquiries from Europe, Israel and South Africa so we have designed a schedule for our international students to begin in September and finish in March 2014. With this group we will be teaching on their time schedule. It will be dinner time for them and morning for me! We will be meeting Tuesday and Thursday evenings much like a traditional college or university course. This will be another great journey that will undoubtedly have its own learning curve. As long as we are learning we are living.

The success of our ONLINE pilot program has made it apparent to me that growing our community sometimes requires thinking “outside the box.” To that end I will be offering ONLINE observations, which has been approved by the RPA certification committee, to students interested in becoming certified.  It is also open to students who want tutoring and an opportunity to have their questions answered. I have been offering in person group observations for the past 18 years. I usually do these in the areas I travel to for my seminars. Students find it helpful on many levels. It is great to watch someone give a session and then learn from their feedback. This will allow me to support student practitioners from all over the country on their path toward certification. Another exciting journey!

We all have fond memories of our version of the little school room. It is exciting to realize that the internet has opened the classroom doors to allow learning  at a new and exciting level. I look forward to connecting with you!

Divine Connection Through Our Hearts

Divine Connection Through Our Hearts

by Meryl Chodosh-Weiss

Do you find it difficult to establish flow, experience joy and creativity in your life and relationships?

When we find ourselves disconnected from the essence of our Divine nature, our hearts become closed and we are unable to experience bliss in every moment of our lives.

Most importantly, when we feel separated from our innate Divine connection, we often experience life as dry, isolated, lonely, meaningless and frustrating.

We focus on our breathing, our mantra, whatever we can to silence the continual stream of distracting thoughts and negative feelings that keep us from experiencing peaceful meditations and harmony in our lives.

What if the basis of enlightenment, accessing all the riches of the universe, peace, harmony and flow stems not from our minds and somewhere outside of us, but somewhere else?

Buddha said “The way is not in the sky. The way is in the heart”.

Recent research by the The Institute of HeartMath (IHM) Research Center and technological advances in how the human mind-body system is able to be studied reveals that the heart emits the strongest electromagnetic field in our body. This electromagnetic field is five thousand times stronger than the brain’s electromagnetic field; it envelops the entire body and extends out in all directions up to several feet outside of the body. Research shows that as we consciously focus on feeling a positive emotion it has a beneficial effect not only on our own health and well-being, but it also can have a positive effect on those around us.

Our hearts are the very first organ we develop in the womb. When we call our attention to the “heart of the matter” we are focusing on the essence, in fact, our essence.

The “shift of the ages,” the shift in consciousness that we are now experiencing, is a movement from duality into oneness. It invites us to live from the oneness, connectedness of all creation in our hearts.

There is a personal power in us that is only available when we move from the duality of our brains (the two hemispheres) into the unity of our hearts, our cores.

The scheduled repatterning during the World Repatterning Summit will shine light on whatever we are ready to clear from our mind-body systems so that we can move into living from our hearts and connecting there with the Divine within us all.

“Loving Order Shines Amidst the Chaos” from the NUN KARMA REPATTERNING

What would it be like to watch a massive tsunami push away everything you’ve known and loved—your home, neighborhood, car, even friends and family members who will never return? Where do you find the courage to start over when you have nothing left?

Sometimes art and poetry show the way.

When I went to the Martha’s Vineyard Film Festival this spring, I came away feeling overwhelmed by powerful stories of school bullying, opioid addiction in the military, environmental threats, how to start a revolution, and other topics that a young generation of filmmakers did not hesitate to present with brilliant, in-your-face clarity.

By the time The Tsunami and The Cherry Blossom was screened, I was barely able to absorb its sounds and colors. But out of the chaos of all those images, this movie has stayed with me like a quiet beacon.

The documentary by filmmaker Lucy Walker is described as “a stunning visual poem about the ephemeral nature of life and the healing power of Japan’s most beloved flower,” the cherry blossom.

It seems that, just when life seemed most desperate for the survivors in northern Japan, cherry blossom season began. All over the hardest hit areas, pink and white blossoms appeared to create whole and perfect webs of hope. Their stunning beauty helped survivors revive and rebuild their lives.

Isn’t this how coherence helps us thrive through chaos?

When I lived through the 1994 Category 5 hurricane and tornadoes in St. Thomas, the day after was like walking across some kind of tragic alien landscape. So many buildings destroyed; even steel girders twisted and tossed about. Trees lay akimbo.

All the lush tropical foliage had been stripped from its hold on trees and bushes, and whipped into a fetid green slime that coated everything.

But what I remember most is how quickly and insistently nature began to restore itself. Fresh sprouts of green and flowering buds poked up within weeks, even days, creating their own kind of visual poetry.

I remember how those signs of an inherently coherent Nature, even after the storm’s chaos, lifted my heart and gave me hope.

Book Review: Fractal Time – The Secret of 2012 and a New World Age, by Gregg Braden

Reviewed by Nancy Martin

“This book is dedicated to our discovery of time as the language of our past, the map to our future, and the world to come.” December 21, 2012, the winter solstice, is identified by the Mayan calendar as the end of a world age, the cycle that began this 5th world age in 3114 B.C. (1,800 years before the time of Moses and the biblical exodus), which is approximately 5,125 years ago. Comparisons of world-age references include traditions of the Hopi, Ancient India  (the Vedas first written in 1500 B.C.), Aztec and Maya. Oral transmission of the stories probably went back thousands of years before the literature.

Four generations experienced the end of a world-age and survived changes in global magnetic fields and climate, diminishing resources and rising sea levels, for the end of one world age is the beginning of the next. Completing the cycle is necessary before the next can start, which means experiencing the greatest distance in our orbit from the core of our home galaxy, the Milky Way.

Emotional/spiritual effects are evident, as well as the physical changes, in the sense of a loss of connection–separate and lost. The farther we go from the source of such powerful energy the deeper we go in darkness, leading our ancestors to chaos, war, greed and destruction. The dominant theme in that period of greatest darkness at the end of a world age is discord, contention and quarrel. In spite of the fears of such negative outcomes, our ancestors also had an awareness of abundant peace, love, healing, and compassion at the same time.

Now technology and understanding the need affords us new choices, the realm of all possibilities where we can shape our future. Earth and our solar system move into alignment, passing an imaginary line that defines the top of our galaxy and the bottom as the equator defines the Northern hemisphere and the Southern hemisphere, with the mysterious source of energy at the heart of the Milky Way. The winter solstice 2012 is the center of the transition zone, beginning well before and after 12/21, involving possibly years on each side. This alignment was predicted by the Mayans to repeat in another 26,000 years and represents moving through the 12 familiar zodiac signs/constellations, forming a circle of 360˚.

We need to update our time concepts. The ancient traditions saw time as an ongoing dance of cycles, waves of energy pulsing across the universe, incorporating repeats of patterns over a wide scope of dimensions—fractals–that carry the conditions of the past, but with greater intensity, into our future. Albert Einstein introduced us to the unity of time and space, which he called space-time, and that events of everyday life on all levels–peace, war, the cosmos, the economy, personal relationships and civilizations–happen within it. The fractal interplay between planets, galaxies and our personal lives relates to the ancient axiom, “As above, so below.”

Cycles abound in nature and vary in magnitude—from the smallest pattern of subatomic particles to galaxies–in increasing nests of cycles. Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Our life is an apprenticeship to the truth that around every circle another can be drawn; that there is no end in nature, but every end is a beginning.”

What happens within cycles is seen as a place in the cycle, a seed event. It’s the repeat of conditions that make a particular outcome possible, depending on the choices we make in life. Knowing where we are in the cycle, we know what to expect when it repeats.

This relates not only to cosmological changes but also to worldwide conflicts and the personal events in one’s life. Braden has developed a Time Code Calculator that shows us what to expect in all of the above. Through current technology we can anticipate the cyclical changes and a choice point that allows us to select a new outcome for the returning pattern of conditions. The key is understanding Phi/phi, described as 1.618/ .618, the golden ratio, which is repeated in infinity in nature and often in architecture. Fibonacci discovered during the early 14th century the sequence of  numbers that create the golden ratio, namely adding the last two numbers that expand a spiral or dividing the number that immediately precedes it. Spirals seem to be the pattern for much of the universe.

Beauty in our world is represented by this ratio—proportions of the human body, the pattern of seeds in a sunflower, the structure of elegant Grecian temples, arms of the Milky Way galaxy. It also applies to brain states of consciousness and proportions of DNA.

Not only cycles of growth and proportion are evident in the golden ratio but also in the timing and separation of occurrences in a person’s life. The only way we relate to time is through our experiences of events within it. Time and events can’t be separated. Now we have moved beyond classical Newtonian physics to quantum physics where we conceptualize zones of energy described as probabilities.

The Hopi language is the same for describing what is and what has happened. For them “is” refers to a quantum possibility that became manifest. Einstein said, “This past, present and future is only an illusion.” However, the “problem of time” is approached through  the theory that space-time has the form of a wave., something that moves in a special way and follows a special path—that of a spiral with the effect called a torsion field. These spirals of space-time are key to nature’s code.

Now the convergence of so many cycles  present an optimum time to commence new patterns of growth. In our personal lives this is an opportunity to release beliefs that have caused pain emotionally and physically and to embrace new life-affirming beliefs in their place. Opt for cooperation instead of competition for our world. “A change in the way we feel about ourselves and our world has the potential to affect the world itself.” Through the silent language of the heart we can harmonize our bodies with the life-sustaining fields of the earth; achieving global coherence can affect the quality of the common field that connects us. Conditions may repeat but the events don’t have to. We have a choice!

How One Psychotherapist Utilizes Resonance Repatterning With Clients In A Private Practice

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker I am a fully qualified mental health practitioner with the immense good fortune to live my professional life assisting others in their efforts to become their most expanded selves.

On a day to day basis I witness subtle and not so subtle evidence of change in my clients as they relax into new awareness.

I notice the changes in how they are holding themselves in their bodies, in the freed –up expressiveness of their faces, in the very color of their skin tone and circulation as they embrace new coherence in their body-mind systems.

I am blessed to have the right tools at the right time to facilitate the changes. The most comprehensive tool in my toolbox is all that Resonance Repatterning has to offer.

Our colleague Dr. Shirley Lanyi wrote an article in the August, 2010 RPA Journal Thoughts On The Resonance Repatterning Practitioner-Client Process which focuses on the healing relationship. She explores the connection and necessary conditions for an effective therapeutic alliance.

She states

“In conclusion,…. We are part of our clients’ process. Our ability to act with loving kindness, on the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual planes, via our responses and reactions, conscious and unconscious, facilitates our clients’ process, healing and growth, as well as our own.”

This will always be the most important aspect of any practitioners work. What we do is secondary to how it is done, who we are, and what we bring to the therapeutic partnership.

That being said, I’d like to share some applications of Resonance Repatterning in a psychotherapeutic practice.

Naturally, one application is to use the whole process intact with some clients. This allows a practitioner, via muscle checking for what is needed, to access what the specific client needs from the full resources of the system.

We could fill volumes of successful interventions in this category!

Most interesting is the fact that many strategies would be impossible without Resonance Repatterning. For example, one of my clients adopted a newborn child several years ago. With the adoptive mother muscle checking by proxy for the infant, and with a visible sign of permission from the infant when asked out loud, we proceeded to do a series of in person repatternings to deal head on with the infant’s separation from the birth mother.

As the child grew older, repatternings were done to handle other life issues and the child would ask for a session when he felt it was something that he needed.

Clearly even a non- traditional psychotherapy practice would not have been able to embrace this kind of preventative work.

While working with psychotherapy clients several aspects of the Resonance Repatterning system are utilized routinely.

In establishing the framework of the therapeutic alliance verbally and non-verbally there is emphasis on the fact that the person intrinsically has the keys to attain their own sense of well being and wholeness. My job is to assist them in accessing their own wisdom. Although I can provide a safe container for exploration and I can participate as a team member towards the achievement of their goals, I can neither do the work for them nor can I dictate what needs to be done.

Again, this view of a therapeutic partnership is key to the foundation in the Resonance Repatterning client-practitioner endeavor.

Even before introducing the concept of muscle checking with a psychotherapy client, throughout sessions there is the routine use of pauses, nose breathing and simple grounding modalities. As sessions continue, muscle checking for the client’s needs can be incorporated into the psychotherapy session.

With this essential tool accessed, stress reduction and counter-anxiety modalities can be taught to the client according to exactly what that person’s system dictates. Additionally, a session can not only begin with the social work cardinal rule of starting where the client is, but the verbal explorations in a session can be viewed with the perspectives of Problems and Opportunities.

Once we begin using the context of Problems and Opportunities for discussion, statements are written and can be energetically cleared with a modality, if appropriate, so that the psychotherapy session often incorporates profound energetic shifts of material brought to the discussion.

The result is that clients frequently leave their psychotherapy session feeling empowered, ready to integrate changes made and eager to uncover more material in their next session. This is in contrast to the situation that frequently occurs in psychotherapy when the client finally gets to the real “meat” and primary issue of a session just before they need to walk out the door.

These “doorknob revelations” leave the client feeling frustrated and thwarted, like they are on the edge of discovering something great that may be easily lost in transit.

Although toleration of frustration and respect for the boundaries that time limitations impose may be important elements in developing the emotional resiliency necessary for wholeness, when this is added frequently to the mix of the psychotherapy client’s experience of raw vulnerability it may destroy the motivation to continue the process.

As with all things in life, balance is essential. Using muscle checking to determine what is best as dictated by a person’s higher self is a way to grow optimal well-being not only for the Resonance Repatterning client, but for the psychotherapy client as well.
