What Would Love Do Right Now in Your Health?

Health has many facets—physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. Merriam-Webster defines health as “the condition of being sound in body, mind, or spirit.” I define health as an expression of self-love resulting in a sense of vitality and overall well-being generated from within.

Many physical diseases today are a direct result of the unacknowledged and unexpressed emotions we harbor. In Louise L. Hay’s book, You Can Heal Your Life, she identifies the mental thought patterns and emotions that correlate to different disease states and gives practical steps for releasing them through positive affirmations and forgiveness.

Expressing Love for Yourself Through Nutrition

Our eating habits begin at home and are passed from one generation to the next. As children, we connect love with the eating customs with which we were raised—the rules around the table; the kinds of food we ate; the amount we consumed. We also form emotional and social eating habits throughout our lives, and may even subject ourselves to nutritional deprivation.

There are many philosophies about nutrition and food. Examine your current habits and begin identifying what you could do differently to make some improvements regarding your nutrition. You may want to do some research on the internet, try out different food plans, implement a cleansing regimen, or meet with a holistic nutritionist. Notice how you feel when you apply any changes. Use the ones that work for you, and leave the rest behind. You will discover what is best for you.

Through my own research, I found what’s best for me is to eat whole, live, organic foods as much as possible. I do my best to eat fresh vegetables, lean meats, and fish. I also avoid GMO foods, carbonated beverages, and artificial sweeteners. One way I express love for myself is by drinking hot water with lemon, even in the summer, to help balance my pH level.

Expressing Love for Yourself Through Exercise

Exercise is also very important and can be of great benefit in leading a life of balance, happiness, and vitality. Exercising can include: walking, hiking, biking, swimming, lifting weights, or participating in classes, such as aerobics, yoga, Pilates, and dance. I invite you to take on identifying what you could do differently to express love for yourself through exercise. Again, research and experiment—you will discover what works best for you.

At this time in my life, the most rewarding physical activity that feeds my soul and my body is my morning 20-minute bike ride through the park. I love it!

Expressing Love for Yourself Through Sleep

Sleep is the time when your body regenerates itself. Research indicates that we need at least eight hours of uninterrupted sleep each day for our body to completely relax and recharge. Begin identifying what you could do differently to express love for yourself through better sleep. Perhaps create a before-bedtime routine that includes some relaxation—turn off the television, read something inspirational, journal what you are grateful for, and visualize what you’re looking forward to having in the future.

To support uninterrupted sleep, I wear an eye mask and use earplugs to block ambient light and outside noise. My before-bedtime routine includes: not drinking water 1-2 hours before bedtime; reviewing what I’ve accomplished and am grateful for; thinking about the people who have touched my life and whom I have impacted during my day; and doing a short, guided meditation. I then easily drift off to a peaceful sleep.

Expressing Love for Yourself Through Rejuvenation

Everyone needs down time to restore, refresh, and renew their spiritual, emotional, and mental selves. People are re-energized in different ways; some by being alone, others by hanging out with friends; some by being in nature, others by dancing the night away; some by relaxing with a good book, others by playing board games; some by walking on the beach, others by volunteering at the local food bank; some by driving through the countryside, others by singing karaoke at the local bar; some by enjoying a fabulous spa day, others by tailgating at a football stadium. Begin identifying what you could do differently to express love for yourself through rejuvenation. Choose whatever suits your fancy—whenever, wherever, or however you please.

One of the things I do Monday evenings to feed my soul at every level is singing in the Higher Vibration Healing Choir at the Institute of Harmonic Science in Phoenix, AZ. This experience supports me in starting my week from a peaceful, serene, relaxed place; fills me with optimism, joy, and positive energy; and allows me to open my heart to the love that surrounds me.

Resonance Repatterning

For further support, you may want to consider Resonance Repatterning®. This method, developed by Chloe Faith Wordsworth, releases the resonance with generational eating customs and habits that no longer serve you, as well as, the unconscious conclusions and patterns that ensued. It also allows you to heal wounds from past harmful experiences in regard to exercise, sleep and taking time off. You may want to consider going to the Repatterning Practitioners Association website and choosing a certified practitioner you feel guided to working with and give them a call. You’ll be amazed at the results.

May the wisdom inside you take you on a journey into your heart where your greatness abides. Now, that’s living a heart-centered, extraordinary life!

Laughing and the color Red

“You need to laugh” she said, as I lay there barely able to breathe, bandages tightly wrapped around my chest.
“You’ve got to be kidding me. There’s no way,” I said weakly.
She continued checking what I needed. Then she looked at my other sisters sitting there and told them, “She needs the color red” …

In Resonance Repatterning©, we do some powerful modalities. Are they hard or complicated? Do you need special training to be able to do them? My sister and I had been taking Resonance Repatterning© classes. Had we learned enough to really help me through a tough time?

I’d just had major surgery – a mastectomy for breast cancer. The day after  surgery, I could not keep down even ice chips. I could barely stay awake. They said it’s because my body is having a reaction to the anesthesia.

…. My 2nd sister jumped up and started running around the room looking for something red. Then everyone was looking for red things. I began snickering. Suddenly, she grabbed a crayon from her daughter and told me to stick it in my nose. I burst out laughing.

Well, there’s my laughing modality, I thought. I was feeling better… but I was not done yet.  My sister doing the muscle checking said to me, “You need an ECR”…

An ECR or Energy Constriction Release is pretty much just like it sounds – releasing energy that is constricted in the body. Identifying the feeling holding the energy stuck is the key.

…She muscle checked where the constricted energy was being held, and then, she held her hand near my armpit, by my breast. The exact spot where my lymph nodes had been removed. She looked at me and said, “Deby, it feels like a fan is blowing on my hand.”  After a couple minutes, she removed her hand. “It’s complete.”

I sat up in bed. The energy of everyone in the room was spiraling up. The urine from my catheter bag had been bright blue. Now, they noticed, it is bright green. Yellow and blue make green, right? The anesthesia had left my system! We were all ecstatic!

You might think my sister had years of experience giving sessions. The truth is my sister and I had been to only two basic classes. The fact is that we had not even been taught the ECR in class yet. She simply followed the directions.

This is an example of how simple and yet powerful a session and the energizing options in Resonance Repatterning© can be.

Confidence and Presence: Why they Matter a LOT

Healers, creative types, solo-preneurs, and many women shy away from attention and being seen.

You, too? If you’re afraid of getting attention, being “too big” or “too visible,” this will hold you back from success in business, attracting a mate, and even in being seen and heard in your family and working life.

A few years ago I did the Nun Karma Repatterning on myself and the pattern of “invisibility” came up. Suddenly I saw how I was operating under the radar and mostly invisibly. I was working at home on the phone, doing much of my marketing online.  I didn’t stand up in front of people often and I never “tooted my own horn.” I rarely spoke to people about my work.  It wasn’t helping my business grow and I was too isolated. The pattern of “invisibility” was my hologram, and it was everywhere in my life.

That took me through a two-year clearing journey, including becoming a teacher of the Art of Feminine Presence. What I’ve been learning is that what draws people to work with you goes beyond having a great website or elevator speech–it’s your presence.

As women, we have a built-in advantage in this area–if we are comfortable with being and expressing our Feminine Presence. It can be part of our power–but this is power defined in a whole new way.  It’s not about being like a man . . . isn’t that a relief?

A naturally confident woman is noticed when she enters a room. With her Feminine Presence “turned on,” she is magnetic, grounded, easily heard and gets our attention–without being flashy, loud or aggressive.  Both men and women are drawn to be around her—it just feels good!

This presence, this confidence communicates to others “I am open and receptive to your attention–and I welcome it.  I feel safe to be heard–and to take up space. I can express my feelings, thoughts and point of view without shrinking and I have something important to say.”  This attitude, this stance, shows up in what we say, how we move, what we do in our business, and how we relate to people. It even comes through our written words, our voice on the phone and in audios, and on videotape.

These days it’s a lot harder to stand out in the crowd–there are many more people offering energy healing, coaching and holistic services.  Having a powerful method is great, but we must go much further than that to really get attention. Developing your presence, having the courage and confidence to be seen and heard is more important than ever.

It’s what I teach in Art of Feminine Presence classes, and it’s also the focus of my session at the Repatterning World Summit.  My topic is “Confident, Clear and Courageous: step into your value and stand in the value of your work.”

Office Worker Meditating at WorkAre you curious about what I mean by confidence?  I see it as a two-sided coin, two different “faces” which are inseparably linked to the other:

INNER CONFIDENCE is  expressed from the inside out, based on how you feel about yourself, your inner self-image, and your self-talk.

OUTER CONFIDENCE is the kind that shows in your body language and your voice.  It shows in how you walk and move, and in the ways you express yourself—clearly, warmly and self-assured, without hiding or apologizing.  A cool tip: You can use OUTER confidence to grow INNER confidence.  Ask any performer or public speaker!

Why will having more confidence be such a great benefit to you?

With more confidence, you feel better about yourself, value your work more, express yourself more clearly and with more impact, and bring in more clients.

Confidence supports you to:

■ Know–and be able to say–what is special and unique about you;

■ Be clear about the results your clients have and that your work makes a difference in people’s lives;

■ Create services, programs and content that shine with quality and value;

■ Let go of having to be perfect and putting off your success;

■ Feel more at ease sharing your expertise as you relax into being yourself;

■ Have more ‘presence’ and enjoy more attention–people remember you;

■ Gain more of that “know-like-trust” factor  that builds an audience and draws clients;

■ Enjoy marketing as a conversation and opportunity to connect with others.

GREAT STUFF, isn’t it?  You might actually start enjoying marketing as it becomes more of a conversation than a sales pitch.  What about having more joy, ease and heart connection with prospects, and having more FUN while attracting great new clients?

Hey…how would it be to enjoy being yourself more, in every part of your day?  Now that sounds truly awesome!

The Practice and Refinement of Resonance Repatterning

I have been teaching Resonance Repatterning since 1995 and have been privileged to teach some amazing practitioners. I recently interviewed two of them. (Ardis Ozborn, Resonance Repatterning teacher)

Interview with Julie Steve, certified practitioner since 2010

How did you first learn about Resonance Repatterning?
A friend introduced me to a practitioner who did body scans. The scan validated the stress in my body as we explored the emotions held in the organs, and a light bulb went off in terms of my childhood traumas. She suggested a Resonance Repatterning session to identify negative thought patterns and beliefs that I was still resonating with. I began the session from a negative space and at the end I felt like wonder woman! I was ready to tackle the world. I felt so completely different each time I received a session that I decided to learn how to do this myself.

What have you enjoyed most about learning Resonance Repatterning?
I can help  become more grounded, positive and focused. When I have a problem or issue I realize it’s a pattern I can shift. I get excited about helping other people make such a transition in their sessions. When those I love have issues I can offer them a session, too.

What kind of practice have you created?
I work a lot with young women and children. I think that has a lot to do with my personal history. I relate to their experiences and feel compassion for what they are going through. Since I have dealt with many of the same issues, I can meet them where they are. I love children. Because of all my repatternings, I am more in touch with my little girl. Children know when you are being real with them. My clients help me as I help them–especially when patterns come up that I have worked on myself. It gives me a great appreciation for their process.

You are a Jehovah’s Witness and devout in your practice. Has there been any conflict for you in studying and practicing Resonance Repatterning?
No. I researched Resonance Repatterning carefully before I began my studies. No religious teaching is brought into the trainings. It is based on science, energy medicine, and psychological principles. I appreciate that very much.

You have retaken the classes many times. What has that given you?
In my Kingdom Hall we read the entire Bible through every year. Each time it deepens my faith. It’s like that when I retake the courses. Each time it builds on my depth of understanding and appreciation for it’s complexity.

Who would you recommend these seminars to?
Anyone who takes responsibility for working on one’s self could benefit. I always struggled in school and was afraid it would be like that again. I was pleasantly surprised that they were fun and easy for me. I was learning without realizing that I was learning. At the end of the day, I was amazed at the amount of energy I had. I felt so alive and absorbed so much. When I came home my energy had shifted, and those around me shifted, too. That was a bonus!

Interview with Bobbie Martin, certified practitioner and teacher from Kansas City, Missouri:

How long have you been practicing?
I started in 1997. I had a session that I enjoyed and then agreed to organize a series in Kansas City, where I took the training. I backed into it totally. I was open to new ideas. With the many things I have learned and practiced in  the past, I get what I need and move on. I have been doing this for 15 years now and I am still stimulated. There is always more to learn and grow with. It is very respectful to the client–efficient and respectful of their own timing as well. We can both relax and know that things will only come up when you are ready for them.

What was your healing background?
I was already a professional psychic with a full practice. Learning Resonance Repatterning was fun and easier than doing psychic work. It felt like play to me,  not work. I started using it with my existing clients, and it helped me reaffirm that this was led by the client not me “on the pedestal” with all the answers. I empowered my clients, and the process itself kept me intrigued. There was always something new in the sessions that I was stimulated by. With some clients I combined a little psychic work with a repatterning to go deeper when their system was ready to talk to us.

What is your Resonance Repatterning specialty?
What I do well is connect the dots for people. This is my gift. I always did this with my psychic readings. I would get  impressions, and gradually it was a kaleidoscope of pictures that led to the “aha” moments. I do this with Resonance Repatterning–I don’t consciously bring me into it. This is not psychic work. I had to make a conscious choice to make peace with that. I don’t do anything in a session, including giving my input, unless I muscle check that it is appropriate. It can sometimes be a distraction from the session. I keep my focus on honoring their system.

What have you learned along the way?
In a session I am not always sure why things are coming up, but I know it will make sense as we go through it. People value this. I have the ability to bring whole pictures together. At the end of the session they see why things came up, and it all fits. At the start of the session, I ask the client what is going on with them. I take notes and have become a very good scribe! I have learned to value their wording, even an off-hand remark. I muscle check to see if it should be included. Their words have the vibration. If I use their words, I am a good mirror for them, and they are shocked and amazed that the answers they are looking for are the words they just spoke!

This is a PhD in energy medicine. The work is so deep and life changing. When business clients come for help they soon realize that it is their energy driving their business. If it is off, what is going on with them? It’s the same for me. If my appointment base goes off, it’s not the economy.  This is my barometer. It is within me. I use Resonance Repatterning to coach business people and myself.  It’s all about energy. Once you clean up the internal issues the business or practice gets back on track.

“Be” the Change

Change is inevitable! It is the only thing consistent in life. You can either resist it, or embrace it like an adventure. It is not always easy to do, but it is necessary if you want to live an extraordinary life.

One way you can embrace the changes that are occurring in your life is by acknowledging your part in the change. I remember doing a Resonance Repatterning® session on a woman who hated her job and wanted out. She was procrastinating about looking for a new one, even though she really wanted something more rewarding. We identified her unconscious pattern of ‘not deserving better’ and shifted her resonance to deserving a creative outlet for her gifts and talents and getting paid well for them. Lo and behold, when she went into work on Monday, she was fired. She called me irate and blamed me for being fired. I encouraged her to look how powerful she was and how fast the universe provided her with verification of her new resonance.  I reminded her how difficult it was for her to take action to look for what she really wanted in a job and that now was her opportunity to be grateful for the opportunity and embrace it.  I acknowledged her for coming in for a session and taking action on discovering ‘her part’ that was keeping her from her heart’s desire. I encouraged her to see this as a gift and to take advantage of the time she now had to create the ‘job of her dreams’.

Another example could be a partner wanting to move on and leaving the relationship that you have been in for some time. The more you take responsibility for how you caused this or the part you played, rather than blaming the other, the quicker you can be at peace and see the opening you have to grow and learn from the relationship and let them go. Would you really want to be with someone who does not really want to be with you? You could then evaluate what worked and what did not work in the relationship, give yourself time to heal and then prepare to draw to you an even better partner. I am not saying that all this is simple; however, if you embrace the change rather than fighting it, you will have more energy to move forward with ease and grace.

Another concept I like to use in my own life is to ‘be’ the change I am looking for. One day I did an experiment with my father. It seemed to me that when he called me he was reporting how things were going with him and his new family. He would tell me all the things I wished I had done with him when I was young, but since we did not live together, my siblings and I did not get to do many activities. I found myself getting envious of what they were getting that I did not. What was missing for me in his calls was acknowledgment for who I was in his life. So, I started acknowledging him for being such a great father to his other three children and how fortunate they were to get to do all the things they were doing and to have him as a Dad. After just two phone calls, he started asking about me and my life and acknowledged me for being such a great daughter. He also acknowledged me for how much of a difference I was making in my client’s lives. These were things he had not told me before. So, the very thing I thought was missing, I gave him, and in the very giving of it, I experienced acknowledgement and seemingly out of the blue, he gave to me the very thing I was previously missing. It was quite remarkable. The switch was very dramatic. So, if there are qualities you are lacking in relationship with others, ‘be’ that quality with them or bring that quality to the situation and watch how you are actually experiencing the very quality you previously thought was missing. You will be amazed.

            ‘Be’ the change, and you can live an extraordinary life filled with everything you desire – a life where you can hardly wait to get up and one that is overflowing with love, joy, passion and fulfillment.

Significant Opportunity

“What happens when people fail to find their life purpose?”

BY GAIL GLANVILLE

One answer is this:

The World Health Organization predicts that by 2020 the leading cause of disability in women worldwide will be…depression. And not to be selective, the numbers for men are on the rise, too.

Don’t you think this represents a significant opportunity for Resonance Repatterning® practitioners?

There are literally hundreds, even thousands, of people in your market who suffer from depression. 80% of them are going untreated, which leads to lost opportunities, absenteeism, broken relationships and even suicide.

I suggest that the biggest opportunity for making a difference in this country is to target depression and anxiety in your practice (just as practitioners Laura Frisbie and Trine Whist are doing). Help people reconnect with the joy of their life purpose.

Remember the results of Joel Bennett’s Pilot Research Study? 95% of clients felt “better to a lot better” after a session with a Resonance Repatterning practitioner.

Recently I heard from a student who wanted to know how to promote herself, how to talk about her work with Resonance Repatterning so she could start attracting clients. I suggested she focus on depression, and gave her a sample elevator speech:

“Do you know how many people suffer from depression in this state? You’ll recognize them because they’ve lost their joy in life, their sense of accomplishment and meaning. They’ve stopped doing things they love. Most of them struggle along untreated, barely dragging themselves through their days. I wonder if you may sometimes feel the same.

“What I offer are private sessions in a new method of energy psychology that finds the specific source of depression and lifts it 95% of the time…

“So that you regain your zest for life, reconnect to people you love and experience your life as a journey to joy. So that you find your life purpose and begin to create anew on your terms. So that you can become so fulfilled and satisfied that you feel happy all the time.

“My name is Jane Doe, and I am a Resonance Repatterning practitioner. I can help you feel better even after just one session. Rather than telling you about what I do, let me show you, by phone or in person. Here’s my card.”

There is a secret to this approach, which is to resist the temptation to describe the FEATURES of Resonance Repatterning.

Instead weave a story around the proven “feel better” BENEFITS. How are clients actually changed by a session? How are they moved out of depression towards the joy of expressing their life’s purpose?

It is my belief that if a majority of practitioners offered Resonance Repatterning as a solution to depression like this, four things would happen:

  1. Resonance Repatterning would have a better chance of becoming a household word.
  2. Practitioners would build stronger practices.
  3. Both clients and practitioners would enjoy a greater sense of meaning and purpose.
  4. We’d prove the World Health Organization wrong!

What’s your belief?

Health is an Inside Job

To be healthy is to be happy on all levels physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. And to be happy is to be healthy on all levels physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. It sounds like an easy remedy and the good news is, it can be. You can start right where you are, just the way you are.

It all starts with self-love. It is easy to love yourself when all is going well and according to your plans. However, can you love yourself when you just lost your job, or your partner chooses to leave the relationship you’ve been in for ten years?? Can you love yourself when you’ve been diagnosed with arthritis, cancer or any aliment?? How about when someone close to you makes their transition?

These are the times when you need to rely on the reserves of love you have for yourself. Remember the time you succeeded in achieving your goal? You got the job, finished running the 5K, or sold the first pair of earrings you made? What about when you really wanted to move and you did, or when it was best for you to leave a relationship you have been in for a while and you did. How about when you took your first Resonance Repatterning® seminar and you said to yourself, “I am going to go for my professional certification”, and you did. Remember the energy you had when you accomplished your goal? Remember how you celebrated?? This is the energy, the love within, that you can rely on now to help you when you need it the most, for your health.

For the past year, when I have found myself in a growth opportunity, I have used the simple phrase, ‘what would love do right now?’ I may not have been able to do what Mother Teresa would do; however, I’d always do something more loving than I would have done before asking the question. I have shared this phrase with several of my clients, colleagues and friends. They have all shared amazing stories of the difference this inquiry has made. You too can apply this to every area of your life.

Let’s start with physically. What would love do right now? Love might look in the mirror and say, “I love you and accept you just the way you are, and I want to live a long healthy life. To do that I will find a food plan that supports my well-being, I will go for a walk out in nature every morning, I will get my teeth cleaned, take up yoga, get my eyes examined, etc.” Be sure to follow-up on these ideas or they are just that, ideas.

Emotionally, what would love do right now? Perhaps, love would apologize for something you said that you really didn’t mean to say during a recent argument. Love would forgive someone who you perceived harmed you. Love might take the risk to love again, to share your deep feelings. Remember the quote, ‘I would have rather have loved and gotten hurt, than to have never loved.’ What are you waiting for? I have a quote on my refrigerator by Erica Jong that says “If you don’t risk anything, you risk even more.” Wow, how true. What are the steps you can take to open your heart again? Who would you feel safe having a Resonance Repatterning® session with? Call them, make an appointment and keep the appointment. It is never too late to have a fabulous love life if that is something you want.

Mentally, what would love do right now? Love might take the time to focus and get really clear on your goals and write them down. Don’t forget the ‘by when’. Love would get the support you need to accomplish your goals. Love would ask for help. Love would change your attitude and be more optimistic. Perhaps love would write down on paper all the lists you have in your head to create some free moments in your mind. Then love would make a plan to complete the tasks on your list.

Spiritually, what would love do right now? Love might take time each morning to connect with your inner Divinity, even just for twenty minutes. It would also be beneficial to do the same thing right before bed; being grateful for the day with all its wondrous moments and even the less than wonderful ones. The more peaceful you are before sleep, the more restful and rejuvenating your sleep will be.

Every moment you are being given an opportunity to be happy and healthy; to grow and transform. When you engage fully in life, life can fully engage with you. I sometimes tell people that I live out on the skinny branches of life. It is not always easy however, the rewards are extraordinary.

You are responsible for the quality of your life. Take time to nurture yourself. Be good to yourself. Love yourself. Love yourself to wholeness.
