Heal My Heart Series 3 of 22

The journey IS the reward.

A beautiful life is a wonderful journey. I am often reminded that everyone is on their own path. People are in our lives for specific purposes; sometimes they appear for just a few weeks, several months, many years; or some stay a lifetime. Brian Chalker said it best in this memorable poem:

A Reason, A Season, or A Lifetime

“People come into your life for a reason, a season, or a lifetime.

When you figure out which one it is, you will know what to do.

When someone is in your life for a REASON,

it is usually to meet a need you have expressed outwardly or inwardly.

They have come to assist you through a difficulty, to provide you with

guidance and support, to aid you physically, emotionally or spiritually.

They may seem like a godsend, and they are.

They are there for the reason you need them to be.

Then, without any wrongdoing on your part or at an inconvenient time,

this person will say or do something to bring the relationship to an end.

Sometimes they die. Sometimes they walk away. Sometimes they act up

or out and force you to take a stand. What we must realize is that our

need has been met, our desire fulfilled; their work is done.

The prayer you sent up has been answered and now it is time to move on.

When someone is in your life for a SEASON,

it is because your turn has come to share, grow, or learn.

They bring you an experience of peace or make you laugh.

They may teach you something you have never done.

They usually give you an unbelievable amount of joy.

Believe it. It is real. But only for a season.

And, like Spring turns to Summer and

Summer to Fall, the season eventually ends.

LIFETIME relationships teach you lifetime lessons; things you must

build upon in order to have a solid emotional foundation.

Your job is to accept the lesson; love the person or people involved;

and put what you have learned to use in all other relationships

and areas of your life. It is said that love is blind

but friendship is clairvoyant.”

Heal My Heart Series 2 of 22

To really love, first learn to forgive.

Forgiveness accomplishes miracles. Using the three magical words, I AM SORRY, frees you from past hurts you’ve received and given. This can support you in emerging as your authentic self—to live a fully magical life!

Release what binds you to the past. When your past is unresolved, it not only impacts your life today, it also impacts your future. Your old thoughts and patterns will continue to show up in your life until you heal them. How can you create a magical life if your past is interfering?

Life is too short to keep struggling. This process is for the courageous among us. You will take an inner journey into some unhealed territory, but the rewards will be worth it—I promise. Some areas may take more courage, especially the ones where you take responsibility for the hurt you have caused other people. The key is to have compassion for yourself and others.

Get rid of what’s holding you back. The more you allow yourself to explore unhealed areas within yourself, the greater the outcome. As you complete each process, it’s important to take the time to notice the freedom you have created to live a magical life.

Stop feeling forsaken and disconnected. I encourage you to heal all the relationships in your life, beginning with those that are usually most impactful through those which, in many cases, have less significance. Although you can do this work in any order you choose, I recommend starting with your parents and continuing with your intimate partners, your children and siblings, your extended family, your friends, teachers, coaches, clergy, and your work associates. Be sure to go at your own pace.

Let go of bitterness and resentment. Balance is the key! As you are healing and making changes in your life, it’s easy to become overwhelmed and frustrated. Be gentle with yourself, love yourself, and pace yourself. Take your time. This isn’t a race. It’s a journey into your inner world, where the limitations that stop you from living a magical life are patiently waiting to be transformed.

Nothing binds you except your thoughts; nothing limits you except your fear; and nothing controls you except your beliefs.” ~ Marianne Williamson

The Power of Love

“Getting gotten” and “being present” are essential to experiencing the power of love. These concepts are defined here for clarity.

The experience of getting gotten occurs when another is so present with you that you feel heard, seen, known, and understood for who you truly are, and know that anything you say or do is accepted as an act of love.

Being present involves a conscious act of awareness—mindfulness. It replaces automatic perceptions of situations with an actual experience of living in the moment. Mindfulness is the art of living right in the center, between past and future—it is living in the present.

Therefore, being present means being fully conscious of who you are, where you are, what you are doing, and whom you are with at that exact moment. No images of the past and no dreams of the future interrupt this awareness. There are no distractions or other places you’d rather be. Nothing else matters. Your body, mind, and heart are one.

The following excerpt from Buddhist literature is offered to illustrate being fully present—what the Buddhists call mindfulness:

A man once asked the Buddha, “What are the teachings of you and your disciples?” Buddha answered, “We sit, we walk, and we eat.”
The man replied, “But, everyone sits, walks, and eats.”
The Buddha answered, “Yes, but when we sit, we know that we are sitting. When we walk, we know that we are walking. When we eat, we know that we are eating.”

There is nothing like the experience of being present, or the experience of getting gotten! It is the primal essence of love that permeates all life. It is so powerful it takes your breath away.

This is where Resonance Repatterning® comes in. This method, developed by Chloe Faith Wordsworth, releases the resonance with any unhealed parts of yourself that would keep you from being present for yourself and others, as well as being present to being gotten. You may want to consider going to the Repatterning Practitioners Association website and choosing a certified practitioner you feel guided to working with and give them a call. You’ll be amazed at the results.

May the wisdom inside you take you on a journey into your heart where your greatness abides. Now, that’s living a heart-centered, extraordinary life!

WE ARE ONE

We are one, and yet…
How is it we do not know it?
Where is the unity?
Where is compassion?
Where is understanding, acceptance and love?
And most importantly of all, what are we without them?

We reject each other
We reject ourselves
We reject our body parts, our thoughts, our emotions
We reject who we are, but where does that get us?

We are so much more than our limitations
We are light
We are bliss
We are love and unity

Let’s let go of our destructive patterns
Let’s leave behind separation and judgement
For we are one,
And we are strong,
And we are powerful,
United

You Are Love

What is Love?

There are many types of love: love of self, love of your work, love of your parents who gave you life, love of your friends, love of your children, and love of your pets. Then there is romantic love, love of country, and love of God. Each has a different meaning and unique experience. Throughout history, many have attempted to define love. There are biological theories, cultural theories, and psychological theories about various types and styles of love. You name it and someone has written about it. I believe the word love can be used in the process of transforming many areas of your life.

The love I’m speaking about is a heart-centered love—the primal essence of love that permeates all life. It is moving from your head to your heart, surrendering your ego and moving into compassion, understanding, and a deep sense of caring. Asking yourself, “What would love do right now?” from this place, allows you to be more loving in all your interactions.

When two lovers are making love, looking into one another’s eyes and relishing the moment of bliss, they are sharing their experience together so completely that for them nothing else is happening in the entire world. They are engaging in the primal essence of love, shutting out the outer world— nothing intrudes. They are being present in the moment.

I hope you’ve had this experience. If not, maybe you’ve experienced the pure essence of love with a puppy or a newborn baby. This is unconditional love at its finest.

Now that you know the type of love I’m talking about, are you ready to experience it again, or for the very first time? It’s really a choice. However, if you have unhealed incidents from the past, it may not feel like you have a choice. This is where Resonance Repatterning® comes in. This method was developed by Chloe faith Wordsworth, and has been my saving grace since 1989. It releases the resonance with any unhealed parts of yourself that would keep you from experiencing the unconditional love of which I am speaking. You may want to consider going to the Repatterning Practitioners Association website and choosing a certified practitioner you feel guided to working with and give them a call. You’ll be amazed at the results.

You Are Love

Knowing that you ARE love can change the course of your life forever. You can never separate yourself from love—ever! Nevertheless, it may seem as though you’re separate. It is time to awaken to the love you are—to universal love, the primal essence of love that permeates all life.

Sometimes we feel like love is missing and we look to others to provide it. Actually, look no further, you have everything you need—you are love.

What would life be like if you were to wake up and love governed all of your actions and decisions? What would you do, as love? You might start your day by looking in the mirror and saying, “I love you.” Perhaps you would meditate or journal in a sacred space. As love, you could jog, walk, or tend your garden in the morning sunlight. You might take some time to go to breakfast with friends or pick up chocolate-covered donuts on the way to work. When you bring the love you are—to all areas of your life throughout your day—love is what you will experience moment by moment.

Be the Change

Change is inevitable! It is the only thing constant in life. You can either resist it, or embrace it like an adventure. It is not always easy to do, but it is necessary if you want to live an extraordinary life. One way you can embrace the changes, which are occurring in your life, is by acknowledging your part in the change.

One Friday afternoon, a woman, who hated her job and wanted out, manifested the job of her dreams after a Resonance Repatterning® session. In the session, she admitted that she really wanted a more rewarding job, but was procrastinating. We identified the unconscious pattern that was holding her back and shifted her resonance to deserving a much better, higher-paying, creative position that showcased her unique gifts and talents.

Lo and behold, when she went to work the following Monday morning, she was summoned to her boss’s office and promptly fired. She called me very irate and blamed me for her getting fired. I encouraged her to look at how powerful she was and how fast the universe provided her with verification of her new resonance. I reminded her of how she had been procrastinating about finding a better job and could now embrace and be grateful for the opportunity to create the job of her dreams. . .and so she did!

While change is inevitable, it can also be emotional, especially when your partner moves on from what you thought was a committed relationship. Rather than engaging in finding fault and placing blame, simply be willing to accept what is so about the situation. Life is too short to resist change and perceive it as “it shouldn’t be this way.” The sooner you stop judging and assessing what was good from what was bad, and who was right from who was wrong, the quicker you will be empowered and experience inner peace. By embracing change and granting yourself the grace to let your partner go, you will have more energy to move forward with ease, grounded in the fact that from what you learned in this relationship, you will be able to attract an even better partner who wants to be with you.

The quote, “Be the change you want to see in the world,” profoundly transformed the relationship I had with my father. After having four children, my mother and father divorced. He remarried and started a new family. On the rare occasions that we talked, it seemed that he just reported how things were going with him and his new family. He would tell me all the things I wished I had done with him when I was young, but since we did not live together, my siblings and I did not get to do many of those memorable activities. I found myself becoming more and more envious.

I noticed that what was missing for me in his calls was acknowledgment for who I was in his life. So, I started acknowledging him for being a great father to his other three children and how fortunate they were to get to do all the things they were doing and to have him as a dad. After just two phone calls, he started asking about me and my life and acknowledging me for being a great daughter. He also acknowledged me for the difference I was making in the lives of my clients. These were things he had never told me before.

It’s true, by being the change you want to see in the world — providing the very thing you think is missing in your relationships — you too can experience what your heart desires, just as I did. In the very giving of it, my father gave back to me genuine love and acknowledgement. It was quite remarkable.

So, be the change, embrace the change, expect the change and you too can live an extraordinary life filled with everything you desire — a life where you can hardly wait to get up and one that is overflowing with love, joy, passion, and fulfillment.

A New Year – A New You

Reinventing ourselves comes from within. It does help to have a planetary shift similar the one we had on the winter solstice December 21, 2012 which coincided with the end of the Mayan calendar. 2018 was all about building and laying down a new foundation. The upcoming planetary shift in 2019 is all about making things tangible and material, so if you have a goal or dream, this will be the year to start making steps to transform your dream into reality.

What I found necessary was to reclaim the parts of myself that I had lost, given away, or given up on. I suggest you do the same. The Fusion Modality in the Resonance Repatterning® method retrieves this lost quality. It will free you to be more authentically who YOU are out in the world.

In a workshop called, Owning My Purpose, one of the exercises we did was to inquire about what we did, or how we survived our family dynamics growing up. One of the things I discovered that I did to survive, to be acceptable, and to get my needs met was to find out what the rules are and follow them. I then saw that even to this day, I find out what the rules are and live within the parameters of them, even if I do not agree with them, or even if have to settle. Growing up, I became the good girl, nice and pleasing. I found out what others needed and did whatever it took to make them happy–harmony at all cost!

The next exercise in this workshop was to distinguished what qualities we left behind to survive, like our uniqueness, our creativity, our curiosity, adventure, etc. I discovered that I left behind, my inner desires, my true authentic playful nature, my full self-expression, my dignity, and most importantly my values.

We then talked about what we are passionate about, like making a difference, nature, animals, helping adopted people find their biological parents, etc. I discovered I have many passions! The four I spoke about were my passion to free people from their past and move forward to fulfill their dream; to take risks, be adventurous and playful; to be in an environment where there are wide-open spaces; and to be free to be myself.

From there, in the quietness of my inner sanctuary I created and later declared and claimed my purpose. I stood up in front of the whole group — and on camera to boot — owned my purpose. My purpose is to inspire and empower others’ greatness to live extraordinary lives! What I realized is that I am already doing that. Energy surged throughout my whole being and a rush of emotion filled my eyes. It was total validation of what I have been all about for many years.

The group was then asked to pick a project to fulfill within six months that would allow us to tangibly experience our purpose and move us into unhesitating action. I could not imagine taking on yet another project. So, I chose one I had yet to complete: publishing my first book, What Would Love Do Right Now? A Guide to Living an Extraordinary Life. I created a structure to fulfill my goal with support from those who love and care about me. The paperback was published December 2017 by my own company which you can visit at www.ExtraordinaryOutcomesPublishing.com. The eBook came out in May of 2018 and got to #1 on Amazon the first day. It was exciting!

As you move forward reinventing yourself, be sure you are gentle with yourself and get the support you need from those who love and care about you. It will be easier than you think! If I can do it, YOU can do it too! Have fun!

Bringing ourselves back to life

Most of us didn’t have our essential needs met as children and life often felt threatening. When we felt unwelcome, unloved, unheard or unseen, and we were unable to express this, we shut down, stopped breathing or moving freely. In the Resonance Repatterning process, the energy constriction release is like a beautiful piece of ritual theatre, where our younger selves can experience a sense of safety and nurturing. We are supported to breathe into whatever we are feeling, stay embodied, free the flow of our life energy and embrace our innocence. We receive the update that we are not alone anymore, that we now have the support we need and are encouraged to experience the joy of being our true selves, of being natural, free of the fear of rejection or the illusion of separation. This is self love and acceptance.

We all have the same core needs. Many of our problems come from the belief we are alone, disconnected, and our pain is unique to us. We hide in shame and reach for unfulfilling substitutes. We can choose to break this cycle and free ourselves from our prisons of isolation. From my own experience, nothing is worse than the scenarios my fearful mind conjures up. Yet when I have risked intimacy, revealing the aspects of myself I felt most ashamed of, it has often been surprisingly enjoyable.

Rather than repeating our stories, or going through the motions in our relationships, we can create lasting transformation and move beyond blaming and complaining, beyond the old human story of victim, persecutor and rescuer. We can step into the awareness of our interconnection and the freedom of taking responsibility for every choice we make. We can find out what we are unconsciously committed to, and make the necessary changes. These tiny shifts in perspective ripple out and affect the whole.

Life is precious and we matter. When we can relax into being held, dare to breathe and feel whatever arises, let our bodies move and our voices sound, we reclaim our aliveness.

Resonance Repatterning is not the only way to do this, of course, however, it is a powerful, gentle, elegant, creative and playful way.

Looking Within – A New Era of Consciousness

Have you noticed all the ways we are being asked to look within? We are no longer able to point a finger and blame someone or something outside of ourselves. When we try, have you noticed that it backfires? For those of you who know what I mean and can relate, you are consciously entering into a “New Era of Consciousness” where ultimately there is freedom, wisdom and, most importantly, PEACE.

This process can be arduous or transformative. We can kick and scream with resistance or we can move into acceptance of  ‘what is.’ We get to say. I love one of the statements that Chloe Faith Wordsworth (developer of Resonance Repatterning®) has in her latest Intention for New Possibility section. It says: “I accept that whatever is not aligned with my intentions emerges for my own growth and transformation.” If we resonate with and really grasp the opportunity in this statement, our lives can be a platform for self-discovery, growth, and fine-tuning ourselves, so we and others can experience who we really are. Our Divine nature will be palatable as we let our light shine.

I know it is not always easy; however, the results are always worth the effort. So, how does one accomplish what I am referring to? When we are up against a challenging situation, the first step is to breathe, slowly and deeply in through your nose and out through your nose. This activates the parasympathetic nervous system for calm and relaxation. From this state of calm, we can respond rather than react, which always brings more of what we want. We can tell the person, “I need to take a ‘time-out.” I am having a reaction to what you just communicated, and I want figure out why so I can take responsibility for my reaction and respond from a loving place.” If communicated in this manner, the other person gladly agrees so they can do the same. The question you might ask yourself is, “What happened in the past that this resembles?” The unresolved event usually pops in and we come to an understanding, and this alone can transform the situation. Coming back together, you can both share what you discovered and love is restored.

When I look at the earlier experience from my reactions, it helps when I ask myself, “Did they really intentionally try to hurt me, or sabotage me?” The answer is usually, “No.” Putting myself in their shoes, I have more compassion and understanding, which brings me release from the past so I can be free and return to love and experience more peace. You may want to consider doing the same.

This takes practice so be gentle with yourself. When we can share our vulnerabilities and shortcomings it opens others to do the same, which leads to more intimacy (into me, you see), and ultimately more love. Welcome to the “New Era of Consciousness!”
