Welcoming a new vision for a new year

I received a wonderfully gentle resonance repatterning session today which left me feeling relaxed in my body in a way that I have never felt before. I can only describe it as a kind of liquid warmth, melting quietly and calmly into me. The image that comes to mind is of golden molten light, like the sun’s rays reflecting on gentle waves that are smooth and curvy and so so quiet.  And the sound is of aaaaaahhhh ….. and mmmmmmm …. almost imperceptible.

How welcome this feeling is at the end of a week where my mind is tired from working on the computer.

Thinking about the New Year and of what to write here has also been a central theme. It being THE time that many of us talk about setting our goals for the year ahead or making new year resolutions, pondering how to show up in the world, shiny and bright, with purpose and passion, I had thought this would be a good topic for the beginning of January.

Until now that is, when Resonance Repatterning stops me in my tracks and gives me something more majestic to ponder.

One statement today captured me as I was asked to repeat its words. I hardly ever recall what comes up in a repatterning session afterwards (either when giving or receiving) yet today this statement sits boldly before me.

“My inner light gives me clear vision”

…. These words make me pause …. and become still.

When I expected to be writing about setting intentions and goals, seeing them out there ahead of me, illuminated clearly between me and the horizon, I did not anticipate being brought back here, to stand in the midst, to be in the moment, to experience the light inside.

No matter how much I know that we are connected to the source and that all we need is already within us, I am still drawn to thinking that I need to set my sights on things outside of me, things I need to accomplish, and achievements that will make me feel accomplished.

To notice how my mind can put out these persuasive messages, that this time “I just need to set New Year’s resolutions in a more effective way in order to achieve them”, is enough to call its bluff. Thank God for resonance repatterning and the way it reminds me to let go of the repetitive patterns that do not work for me, like trying to set ever better new year resolutions or life goals.

Instead it reminds me to relax and step into the light within, trusting it to illuminate where I go and how I shine.

How magical a gift is resonance repatterning, enabling us to tap into the wisdom within and all around us, and to reconnect to our inner vision.
What a wonderful process to help us see our light within and reflect it around the globe.

Revolution from the inside out

Before experiencing Resonance Repatterning in 2000 my inner compass was set to terror, rage, grief, self hatred, shame and worthlessness. Life felt pointless with the odd moment of relief. Now it’s the opposite and however challenging my outer circumstances are, my inner state is one of calm joy, along with a deep appreciation of being alive. I still have the odd moment when I forget I have a choice but I’ve almost forgotten how desperate I used to feel. It is not an exaggeration to say I believe it has saved my life.

To put it simply, I just feel better. Better than I thought possible. As it is for so many of us, my life began with trauma. I was taken from my mother immediately after birth. I spent most of the first two months of my life alone. I was adopted and then experienced years of violence and abuse on all levels. When I was at my most helpless I felt severely let down. I didn’t know what it was like to feel relaxed, held by life or welcomed. I had received a clear message that I was unloveable and was here to be punished. I lived this reality long after the external abuse had stopped. I moulded myself to be liked by others because it felt like a matter of life and death. When I was a baby and a small child, it was. Mostly that meant keeping quiet, making myself as small and invisible as possible. I used to numb myself with a whole array of addictions. Those early experiences, especially the first two months of life and certainly the first four years set the scene and the patterns formed then keep on repeating, for better or worse, unless we choose to interrupt them.

Thanks to Resonance Repatterning I’ve gradually switched my focus to self acceptance and self love. Some people like me, some don’t, either way I’m ok, it’s no longer a matter of survival. I survived. You survived too if you’re reading this. These ways of being kept us alive and are now simply outdated. Now we are free to create a sense of safety so we can welcome back younger parts of ourselves that shut down or split off. We’re now free to be who we are at our core and to do what truly makes our hearts sing. Because I resonated with these patterns, that is what I experienced. Even when I met people who did love me, I wasn’t able to receive the love. I know now how treasured by life I am, how much we all are and it feels gorgeous. I now have an inner mother and father who nurture my child aspect and it finally feels safe enough to land in my body.

What has made the difference is the support to be with painful feelings and access the courage to breathe into them, feel and release them, move with them as they naturally transform; along with lots of shaking to release trauma stored in the body. The first year or so was intense transformation then it became more gradual, with lots of stops and starts until I finally let go and decided to trust life. It wasn’t a linear process. More like a spiral. When I choose to use these tools they work.

Being an active participant with the RPA this past year has brought so much more confidence and I’ve learnt so much about how to effectively share what I have to offer. I’ve experienced the joy of being part of a team with a united goal. By sharing what we each have to offer, we all benefit.

Viktor Frankl, an Auschwitz survivor, used to ask the people he worked with why they hadn’t killed themselves. He wanted to discover what they were most passionate about, what mattered enough to them to keep them alive and to encourage them to focus on that. I used to want to be dead but a deeply buried part of me was curious enough to stick around and I’m so glad I did. To be taking steps, however tiny, towards creating my dream brings such fulfilment.  Are you curious about why you’re here and what you have to give? Everyone has a part to play and we’re all equally important. Imagine being free of the need to cover up the pain of self rejection. Addictive patterns and behaviours are an attempt to fill the emptiness that a disconnection from your heart and your wild Nature causes. You can choose to reconnect.

You can’t change the past, but with Resonance Repatterning you can change the impact of the past in your present. You can bring health to every area of your life. It’s possible for you to feel better and more alive than you can probably even imagine right now. It’s entirely possible to change how your brain responds to stress and relax naturally, free of addictions. You can repattern the part of your brain that makes you crave things you know aren’t good for you and to find healthier ways to get that boost or high. It’s even possible to repattern your experience from as early as being in the womb. Some really simple ways are being out in full spectrum light, listening to music, dancing, connecting your breath with your movement and using your voice in a group. It can be great fun to be part of a group and there’s no need to worry about what others think of you as they’re probably too busy worrying about what you think of them.

I’m so inspired by how Resonance Repatterning can be used in so many settings such as hospitals, addiction centres, prisons, schools, refugee camps and old peoples’ homes. It can bring more freedom, hope and joy into places of struggle, despair and darkness.

I’d be delighted to offer you a session so you can experience it for yourself and I also offer ongoing groups with peer support, to integrate changes smoothly over time. Greater transformation is possible in groups with ongoing support. It is priceless to know you are connected and welcome as you are.

With love to you all,

Tabitha.

Poetry, a healing modality expressing the soul

I have written poetry for many years, very free form, and because of that, saw it as a less than qualified piece of writing to share.

I also used poetry as a healing modality many times in my practice of Resonance Repatterning. When it comes up for a client, they usually say, I can’t write a poem. I tell them it’s simply words from the soul and there is no need to rhyme or say it in a certain way. Many times I check for the number of lines, could be 4 or 5 or more. Then I leave them alone to be silent, listen to the words that come up for them and to simply write. It’s always amazing and they are always astounded at what comes out. At one time I saved all of these poems and considered writing a short book about the healing modality of poetry. One of those unfinished thoughts so far.

And I remember at Resonance Repatterning conferences how, many times, Chloe would have the whole group write a poem as a healing. We would all volunteer a word of phrase. They were all written down on a flip chart. And when it muscle checked we had enough, then she would muscle check which phrase was first, which was second, and so on. It was magical what would evolve out of these co-creations.

So I now am giving myself the freedom and opportunity to share more of the poems that I have been drawn to write in the last 2 or 3 years. Its been an action-packed time, with relationships, deaths and expansion, so a great deal of fodder for the soul and my continually evolving consciousness. This was a post I wrote on Facebook in July of this year. I admit after my first urging to share it, I had to do it quick that morning, before I changed my mind.

“I am choosing to do something that feels vulnerable and the artists, whether they be musicians or writers or actors that I admire all talk about the pieces that get the most response are the pieces that come from deeply inside of them. I have long admired their courage. So I am sharing this stream of consciousness poem that I did this morning in response to a personal event in the hopes that it has meaning for any or some of you. Or maybe I just need to step up emotionally naked and have the experience. Not sure and probably all of the above. Initially, there were 109 responses, (Facebook helps track everything, of course) and I had a writer friend who shared with me that my poem received more hits than his published blog pieces. It did seem to speak to a lot of people. So I will share my post here and hope this article inspires something for you, whether its personal, in your practice or in your life somewhere. “

There is always something
To feel hurt by
To regret
To be disappointed by
Deeply disappointed
And there is always
Beauty and wonder
Love and satisfaction
Deep and fulfilling satisfaction
There is always
Wonder and excitement
And always, always
New possibilities
The magic of above and beyond
That is what I am always reaching for
Above and beyond
The limitless that allows soaring
The infinite that feels no limits
While at the same time
Honoring the boundaries
That honor this body, this moment,
That helps me deepen into
The vastness of the worlds
Within this world of this moment
This cell, this infinite universe
Within, within, within.
There’s always a new way to go
When the expected journey is blocked
A new way to feel
When the present feeling
No longer serves.
A new way to love
When the present way of loving
Starts to feel
Too tender or fragile
For the moment.
I am grateful for all these
Possibilities
And the challenges that
Open the door to them.
I am grateful for you and me
And all that is before us
And behind us
And most of all I am grateful
For Now.
A deepening and expanding of Now
The Now within me which is infinite
The Now in this world
Which surprises, pleases
Frustrates, saddens and twists me,
And stretches me beyond all
The Nows before
Thank the God/dess there is always something.

Chloe Wordsworth and Resonance Repatterning

Carole Brown's avatarThought Leaders Blog

Chloe Wordsworth is a thought leader for sure. She has been developing Resonance Repatterning (also known as Holographic Repatterning) and refining this system for almost forty years.

Resonance Repatterning, is one of the most powerful transformative approaches I have experienced. It gives us a new way of listening deep within ourselves and working with our inner wisdom, through accessing the quantum field and the world of frequencies and vibrations within and all around us.

I first met and trained with Chloe in 2000. From her background in acupuncture and polarity therapy and knowledge of many other healing modalities, Chloe developed her holographic approach to healing. Resonance Repatterning uses our muscle response (from applied kinesiology) to answer questions not from our conscious mind but from our unconscious self, and accesses our energy field to identify our patterns. At any moment in time, it gives us the ability to identify which positive aspects we are now ready to resonate with…

Borderline Personality Disorder

Sometimes during the course of one’s practice of Resonance Repatterning, one comes across a number of symptoms involving low self-esteem, or a high level of insecurity. These individuals may have a difficult time staying in loving relationships because of certain extreme behaviours. We would characterise this as non-coherent behaviour, while at the same time the client would have certain intentions which we would characterise as positive intentions that they do not resonate with. So we say that ‘Problems are something we have that we don’t want, and intentions are something we want but don’t have,’ and when we’ve identify that, we look at the underlying Unconscious Patterns, not Subconscious, because it could come from our D.N.A., conception issues, parental issues, etc.

Common problems that appear in people suffering from, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) include:

  • Frequent displays of anger
  • Unstable self-image
  • Irritability
  • Anxiety
  • Impulsiveness
  • Extreme opinions and judgement of others
  • Passive, aggressive behaviour
  • Suicide threats

Individuals with this condition frequently change their goals and aspirations. They may go through friends quickly or change their sexual orientation.

There may be some risk factors historically, especially in their formative years, such as:

  • Being abandoned as a child or teenager
  • Coming from a seriously dysfunctional family
  • Having a normal childhood disrupted
  • Being a victim of verbal, physical or sexual abuse as a child

Here are some possible scenarios:

  • Improving the quality of your relationships, by identifying what is and isn’t working for you and changing it (Unconscious Pattern)
  • Understanding how your unique personal life’s story may impact you attitudes, thoughts and beliefs in order to facilitate change in those which are ineffective (Positive Intention)
  • Gaining insight into your relationship conflicts (Unconscious Pattern)
  • Learning communication, coping and problem solving skills (Positive Intention)
  • Becoming more confident in your relationships, including yourself, being able to speak up for yourself, set boundaries and build demonstrable resilience (Positive Intention)
  • Helping you become more satisfied with what you have and how to get what you want, if you are not (Problems to Opportunities) Adrian Krauss, M.F.T

Whatever a person speaks has a two-fold effect. One is the Action, and the other is the Reaction. The reaction resounds in and near the speaker and creates the same type of thought-currents in his environment. Thus whatever thoughts, virtuous or wicked, emanate from him, they engender their exact resonance. This is an inviolate and unrelenting law, which operates in connection with both animate and inanimate objects alike. It cannot be erased. 5 Important Messages to Help You and Your Children Succeed in Life

In this article, I will list 5 common limiting messages that limit our and our children’s ability to learn and excel. I will then describe a way to free ourselves and our children in order to manifest a happier, more successful life.

Every family has beliefs and rules stored in the family consciousness handed down from generation to generation. We learn these rules very early in life. Even though we may not be consciously aware of these beliefs, we still follow them. Some are beneficial, some are not. Examples of beliefs handed down in my family include: “My children are very beautiful.”—pretty nice. Not so nice– “If I do not serve my husband all the time and make him happy, he will leave me.”

When we honor these rules, even if we are not consciously aware of them, we feel loyal and at peace—no matter what the rule is. When the beliefs limit us, our level of success and enjoyment of life get squelched. We find that we never achieve what we want—because we cannot release ourselves from being loyal to those rules. Here are common 5 limiting beliefs:

Limiting Belief # 1: You are a bad girl or (bad boy).

When a parent or caregiver perceives that a child has done something wrong, they sometimes say “Bad girl.” Or “Bad Boy.” When you think you are bad, you think you are all together bad. People tell a child they are bad in hopes the child will act better. This is not a good way to teach a child to behave. The child, assuming that they are a bad human being, will begin to act that way. The truth is that even when you think you behave badly, you are still a good human being.

Limiting Belief #2: There must be a husband and a wife in the family to raise a healthy child.

We have been taught that children are happier when they have a father and a mother. The truth is that a child can be happy with one parent, with two fathers or two mothers—whether a boy or a girl. All that matters is that we have good parents and a good environment where we feel safe, secure, and where we feel loved.

Limiting Belief # 3: A mother has to stay at home to care for the child.

Some people say that when a mother works and leaves a child with another person, the child will have more problems and feel abandoned by their mother. The truth is whether at home or not, a good parent gives their child a feeling of being beautiful, loved, and valued. What matters is that the child feels beautiful, loved, cared for and nurtured. Whether the parents are at home or not does not matter. That said, it is important that the care giver has the same attitude of valuing the child—not just a babysitter who watches TV.

Limiting Belief #4: Children have to be punished to learn right from wrong.

Spare the rod—spoil the child, the saying goes. Children are sometimes hit, spanked, humiliated or yelled at when they are seen as behaving badly. Punishment does not help children learn. Rather it teaches them to behave badly, to be bullies, tyrants, and to behave in violent, abusive ways. There are only a few instances when force needs to be used—such as when the child is in danger. For those times that force was used upon you, acknowledge that you were an innocent child. Free yourself of that burden of guilt, and without judgment, leave the responsibility to whom it belongs.

Limiting Belief # 5: You have to be a good parent all the time, otherwise you will have bad children.

No one behaves perfectly all the time. When you behave badly to your child, your spouse, or anyone else, say, “I am sorry. I behaved badly.” It can be a huge relief for children to hear, “See—Mommies and Daddies make mistakes.”

Here is a visualization that can help to free ourselves of these detrimental beliefs and patterns: Visualize the family members/care givers from whom you took these beliefs. Say to the them, “I took these beliefs from you but I don’t want them anymore. Please see me with love as I give them back to you.” Visualize these feelings gently returning from you to your elders and your elders lovingly receiving them. Know that your elders are happy to receive them. They know that these false beliefs are not good for you and that once you let go of these beliefs, they can be passed on to wherever they belong.

Can Resonance Repatterning and The Related Skills Dev’t be taught…Online?

I have been on a wonderful journey for the past 9 months exploring the possibilities of training students in Resonance Repatterning ONLINE. My adult son was actually the catalyst for this movement into a new paradigm. I was talking with him about seminar attendance being down these past couple of years and brainstorming with him about it. He asked who I wanted in my classes. I responded that I was interested in students of all ages. His response was immediate; “you need to offer Resonance Repatterning ONLINE”. His generation cut their teeth online. If I wanted to reach younger students, this option would draw them in. They might not be as receptive to taking a class in person. I also started thinking about busy people in general, regardless of their age. What about people who live in remote areas where classes are not scheduled or in other countries?  Were there prospective students who might prefer another option to the traditional weekend schedule of “in person” trainings. Would they appreciate not having to leave their families, fly to a location, book a hotel room and spend their weekend in a meeting room?

The model I have been using for the past 18 years has been wonderful and I intend to continue offering “in person” trainings on location. I love traveling and meeting new people all around the world. They enjoy getting to know each other, bonding and entraining while learning Resonance Repatterning. Yet the classes have been decreasing not growing. Would another choice expand the wonderful experiences I had while teaching in the traditional way? Could we make it work? Would the students feel the power of the work, the connection to me and each other ONLINE?

UpdateClassroom4

So I began my journey to find out. I initially contacted Carolyn Winter last July asking her to partner with me in this venture. I needed someone who knew the process and could handle the technology involved. I was thrilled when she said yes! Then I spoke with Chloe and she fully supported this option so Carolyn and I began doing sessions to resonate with our new possibility. Carolyn researched video conferencing options. We were familiar with Skype but I was not happy with the quality I had experienced. I am a stickler for lip synching being “on.” This led Carolyn to VSEE and we have both been very pleased by the quality of this video conferencing option. The only drawback currently is the limited number of students who can be in the ONLINE classroom at one time. Yet it has been a blessing in our pilot series. We have been learning as we go and our group has weathered any challenge the technology gave us. One student said after the Empowering Yourself seminar:

“This on-line class with Ardis Ozborn and Carolyn Winter was first class from a content as well as a presentation perspective. Ardis’ understanding of Resonance Repatterning is profound and she conveys the information and exercises precisely and patiently. Carolyn, an exceptional practitioner in her own right, was the technical support for this course and kept us all connected for an amazing 8 hours! The inaugural class had a few understandable glitches that allowed us all to learn more about the VSEE format. Ardis and Carolyn make a seamless team and I enthusiastically look forward to the next installment!

I appreciated that feedback, and it confirmed that the personal experience ONLINE was comparable to the “in person” seminars. The added benefit to this group of students was being able to maintain their busy lives and practices while learning something new. I received this feedback after the Fundamentals class:

“Ardis and Carolyn have done it again… created a virtual learning environment that is as enriching as being there in person.  From a technical perspective, the class exists on your computer screen:  you see all your classmates as well as the instructor, Ardis and her first mate, Carolyn!  Interacting is as easy as raising your hand to add something or ask for clarification.  We even get up to stretch or perform a repatterning modality, while Ardis demonstrates.  And when the munchies hit, a snack is as close as my home kitchen.  The convenience, the financial savings and the coziness of curling up with a blanket on the couch while absorbing fascinating material are very hard to beat.  And, to top it all, my cat Lizzie, is an honorary class member!  She sometimes clicks me out, obscures my screen or otherwise hogs the show, but how great is that, that I can bring her to class?!  Fundamental’s expands on the Empowering class and I have been able to immediately apply the Resonance Repatterning process at this level to any issue that arises for me or family members and for my coaching clients as well.  I am eagerly awaiting the next segments.”

We have received inquiries from Europe, Israel and South Africa so we have designed a schedule for our international students to begin in September and finish in March 2014. With this group we will be teaching on their time schedule. It will be dinner time for them and morning for me! We will be meeting Tuesday and Thursday evenings much like a traditional college or university course. This will be another great journey that will undoubtedly have its own learning curve. As long as we are learning we are living.

The success of our ONLINE pilot program has made it apparent to me that growing our community sometimes requires thinking “outside the box.” To that end I will be offering ONLINE observations, which has been approved by the RPA certification committee, to students interested in becoming certified.  It is also open to students who want tutoring and an opportunity to have their questions answered. I have been offering in person group observations for the past 18 years. I usually do these in the areas I travel to for my seminars. Students find it helpful on many levels. It is great to watch someone give a session and then learn from their feedback. This will allow me to support student practitioners from all over the country on their path toward certification. Another exciting journey!

We all have fond memories of our version of the little school room. It is exciting to realize that the internet has opened the classroom doors to allow learning  at a new and exciting level. I look forward to connecting with you!

Learning From the Inside Out

The world wide web provides so many avenues of learning and getting information these days. Facts are at our fingertips. There are even websites to verify the facts. In grade school and high school, I remember having to access a set of Britannica Encyclopedias or needing to go to the library to get information. It took hours to research for a paper that was due the following week. Today, I can get information instantaneously using my cell phone! What a difference!

MP910216413[1]Growing up I remember that one of the ways to get acknowledgement and a pat on the back was to get good grades. You may have also heard something like, “Good job, you got 3 B’s, 1 A and 1 C. Now let’s bring everything up and keep the A.” Then perhaps came the bribes, “For every A you get $15, every B you get $10 and C’s get $5.” I know for me, it set up a conclusion that my value came from getting good grades, so I went to work memorizing to make sure I got goods grades rather than really learning. It was so rote and tedious: flash cards, 3×5 cards, repetition, and re-reading, re-writing notes. I remember having to work so hard for my grades while others in the class goofed around, did not even take their books home, and got the same grade I did. Not fair!

What I realize today on reflection, my previous experience of learning was clouded with expectations from my parents, not a genuine thirst for knowledge. I remember not even enjoying reading because it was associated with needing to remember what I was reading, comprehending, and then applying it to some answer on a test. It is rather ironic because today my passion for learning is enormous, “I can’t get enough.”

As I evaluate the difference from learning growing up and learning as an adult, I realize that my learning today comes from a desire in my heart to get as much knowledge as I can to help my clients and myself, where as before it was to receive recognition from an outside source, my parents.

I remember having a session with a NLP practitioner recently. I wrote a book couple years ago called, “What Would Love Do Right Now?” and I really felt stuck with editing the book for publication. He had me do what I call a gestalt with the ‘already published, out on the shelves’ book. I put the book in a chair out in front of me and realized that the book itself had a release date and –within it–all the information I needed to have it actually released by that date. Then I slowly walked toward the chair and sat in the chair. I allowed myself to grasp all the information the energy of the book had for me. I accessed a place of oneness of some sort, the ‘one mind’ where all knowledge and wisdom is. Then I slowly walked backward, looking at the published book as I came back to my chair. I realized that I now had within me the time-line, the final draft of the book and the confidence that I had all the answers I needed. Since then I have created a visual time-line with the release date and what needs to be done by when, regarding the book. The ‘to do’s’ at every stage are much more manageable because they are in small chunks rather than having the whole book’s ‘everything to do’ right on my lap. This is one way you might ‘learn’ by accessing the ‘matrix morphogenic field, ’ where all knowledge and wisdom is. Try it when you need information to empower yourself to accomplish something you previously thought was overwhelming. Alternatively, try it with simple information you need or want. Let me know how it works for you. It has made such a big difference in my life.

As Resonance Repatterning® Practitioners, we use what I call the ‘innate wisdom’ within the client to not only direct the session, but to access the knowledge of what the unconscious patterns are that keep the client from having what they want in life. I suspect that we are accessing the ‘one mind’ within the client. How cool is that! As practitioners, we can now relax, knowing the client has all the answers within, and we can create the sacred space they need to go deep, trusting the process to allow the old patterns to surface to be transformed into new ways of being in the world.

Learning from within, trusting that you have all the answers inside, can be very liberating and empowering. As you experiment with doing this more often, your ability to trust and act on the information will be easier. Your intuitive connection with ‘all there is’ will be enhanced and your dance through life can be an adventure, filled with curiosity and wonder! Enjoy!

Confidence and Presence: Why they Matter a LOT

Healers, creative types, solo-preneurs, and many women shy away from attention and being seen.

You, too? If you’re afraid of getting attention, being “too big” or “too visible,” this will hold you back from success in business, attracting a mate, and even in being seen and heard in your family and working life.

A few years ago I did the Nun Karma Repatterning on myself and the pattern of “invisibility” came up. Suddenly I saw how I was operating under the radar and mostly invisibly. I was working at home on the phone, doing much of my marketing online.  I didn’t stand up in front of people often and I never “tooted my own horn.” I rarely spoke to people about my work.  It wasn’t helping my business grow and I was too isolated. The pattern of “invisibility” was my hologram, and it was everywhere in my life.

That took me through a two-year clearing journey, including becoming a teacher of the Art of Feminine Presence. What I’ve been learning is that what draws people to work with you goes beyond having a great website or elevator speech–it’s your presence.

As women, we have a built-in advantage in this area–if we are comfortable with being and expressing our Feminine Presence. It can be part of our power–but this is power defined in a whole new way.  It’s not about being like a man . . . isn’t that a relief?

A naturally confident woman is noticed when she enters a room. With her Feminine Presence “turned on,” she is magnetic, grounded, easily heard and gets our attention–without being flashy, loud or aggressive.  Both men and women are drawn to be around her—it just feels good!

This presence, this confidence communicates to others “I am open and receptive to your attention–and I welcome it.  I feel safe to be heard–and to take up space. I can express my feelings, thoughts and point of view without shrinking and I have something important to say.”  This attitude, this stance, shows up in what we say, how we move, what we do in our business, and how we relate to people. It even comes through our written words, our voice on the phone and in audios, and on videotape.

These days it’s a lot harder to stand out in the crowd–there are many more people offering energy healing, coaching and holistic services.  Having a powerful method is great, but we must go much further than that to really get attention. Developing your presence, having the courage and confidence to be seen and heard is more important than ever.

It’s what I teach in Art of Feminine Presence classes, and it’s also the focus of my session at the Repatterning World Summit.  My topic is “Confident, Clear and Courageous: step into your value and stand in the value of your work.”

Office Worker Meditating at WorkAre you curious about what I mean by confidence?  I see it as a two-sided coin, two different “faces” which are inseparably linked to the other:

INNER CONFIDENCE is  expressed from the inside out, based on how you feel about yourself, your inner self-image, and your self-talk.

OUTER CONFIDENCE is the kind that shows in your body language and your voice.  It shows in how you walk and move, and in the ways you express yourself—clearly, warmly and self-assured, without hiding or apologizing.  A cool tip: You can use OUTER confidence to grow INNER confidence.  Ask any performer or public speaker!

Why will having more confidence be such a great benefit to you?

With more confidence, you feel better about yourself, value your work more, express yourself more clearly and with more impact, and bring in more clients.

Confidence supports you to:

■ Know–and be able to say–what is special and unique about you;

■ Be clear about the results your clients have and that your work makes a difference in people’s lives;

■ Create services, programs and content that shine with quality and value;

■ Let go of having to be perfect and putting off your success;

■ Feel more at ease sharing your expertise as you relax into being yourself;

■ Have more ‘presence’ and enjoy more attention–people remember you;

■ Gain more of that “know-like-trust” factor  that builds an audience and draws clients;

■ Enjoy marketing as a conversation and opportunity to connect with others.

GREAT STUFF, isn’t it?  You might actually start enjoying marketing as it becomes more of a conversation than a sales pitch.  What about having more joy, ease and heart connection with prospects, and having more FUN while attracting great new clients?

Hey…how would it be to enjoy being yourself more, in every part of your day?  Now that sounds truly awesome!
