The Resonance Repatterning® Books – An Interview With Chloe Wordsworth

Essential components of the  Resonance Repatterning system of healing and transformation are the books developed for each seminar.  Each of these largely sequential books is rich in information that practitioners draw on for a session.  The material has  been revised over the years with a few publication date milestones.   My first set of books was from 1997, then 2000 and my last set of books was from 2003.    The sessions always seem so miraculous to me –I ask myself “how can the books possibly need updating”?  However, in the last few years we’ve known that the founder of Resonance Repatterning has been hard at work updating the system with new information and repatternings.

Everyone is waiting with excitement to learn about the new changes.   The Repatterning Journal chair, Sally Herr, did an in-depth interview with Chloe on this topic in the November 2011 Edition.  Click here to read what was covered at that time.

Today, I interviewed Chloe Wordsworth by phone for an update on the book completion and the new pieces that have been added.   Significant changes have been made to the Orientation Section, Problems in Opportunites and Intention Section.  Additionally, the Modalities book has been renamed and will be available to the public.  Find out all of the details, including Chloe’s intention, for date of publication in this interview.

Our thanks go to Chloe Wordsworth for taking the time for this interview.

Looking Within – A New Era of Consciousness

Have you noticed all the ways we are being asked to look within? We are no longer able to point a finger and blame someone or something outside of ourselves. When we try, have you noticed that it backfires? For those of you who know what I mean and can relate, you are consciously entering into a “New Era of Consciousness” where ultimately there is freedom, wisdom and, most importantly, PEACE.

This process can be arduous or transformative. We can kick and scream with resistance or we can move into acceptance of  ‘what is.’ We get to say. I love one of the statements that Chloe Faith Wordsworth (developer of Resonance Repatterning®) has in her latest Intention for New Possibility section. It says: “I accept that whatever is not aligned with my intentions emerges for my own growth and transformation.” If we resonate with and really grasp the opportunity in this statement, our lives can be a platform for self-discovery, growth, and fine-tuning ourselves, so we and others can experience who we really are. Our Divine nature will be palatable as we let our light shine.

I know it is not always easy; however, the results are always worth the effort. So, how does one accomplish what I am referring to? When we are up against a challenging situation, the first step is to breathe, slowly and deeply in through your nose and out through your nose. This activates the parasympathetic nervous system for calm and relaxation. From this state of calm, we can respond rather than react, which always brings more of what we want. We can tell the person, “I need to take a ‘time-out.” I am having a reaction to what you just communicated, and I want figure out why so I can take responsibility for my reaction and respond from a loving place.” If communicated in this manner, the other person gladly agrees so they can do the same. The question you might ask yourself is, “What happened in the past that this resembles?” The unresolved event usually pops in and we come to an understanding, and this alone can transform the situation. Coming back together, you can both share what you discovered and love is restored.

When I look at the earlier experience from my reactions, it helps when I ask myself, “Did they really intentionally try to hurt me, or sabotage me?” The answer is usually, “No.” Putting myself in their shoes, I have more compassion and understanding, which brings me release from the past so I can be free and return to love and experience more peace. You may want to consider doing the same.

This takes practice so be gentle with yourself. When we can share our vulnerabilities and shortcomings it opens others to do the same, which leads to more intimacy (into me, you see), and ultimately more love. Welcome to the “New Era of Consciousness!”

Lovingly submitted,

Perspectives On Family Patterns Triggered by an Election

How do you feel about elections and voting?   For many it can be a gut wrenching time, filled with family feuds or arguments, or becomes a topic to be avoided in polite company.  Our family values and expectations at election time,  may cause a huge inner conflict at the voting poll that spirals our energy downward.  As a result, we may grow in disdain for these democratic events and rights.  Thinking about it from an energy perspective may help us to resolve our issues and vote with a coherent attitude that makes a difference to our energy system and ultimately to the country.

The nature of democracy and voting is that everyone is entitled to vote from their conscience with the respect of society for doing so.  Of course, we may find democracy works very well for us, when our whole family system votes the same way because we have a shared sense of values, vision for our country, and a shared perspective of how things are to work.  Our shared understanding may forge an unspoken rule for the consciousness of our group whether it is a family, a small community or other shared interest group–a rule that says “we” vote a particular way for a particular candidate.  If we are personally in agreement with how our group votes, our field of energy expands with civic pride for having voted, and we may even experience great joy and delight when our chosen candidate wins.

However, life is constantly in motion and everyone changes and grows including groups, political parties and their candidates.  It may be difficult to sustain our coherence when as individuals we come to a realization that the candidate endorsed by our group no longer meets our personal expectations or values.  We may feel uncomfortable making a different choice or voicing our opinions aloud.  It may be very difficult for us to exercise our freedom to vote from our conscience, feeling guilty for opposing the unspoken rule of our group for how to vote.  As a result, we  may no longer resonate with voting, freedom, democracy and either avoid voting altogether, or place for our vote with great reluctance or other diminished feelings.  The mere discussion of politics may break out in non-coherent arguments and physical rage if the rule broken with a contrary vote is very important to the group.  What we are feeling is the systemic guilt that is generated by opposing our groups rules.

In the set of repatterning’s from Magui Block’s  “Healing The Family System,” feeling guilty when we have done something wrong is normal and helps us to compensate for something wrong that we have done.  Neurotic guilt, according to Magui, is a sensation of anxiety that covers up an emotion, such as repressed anger.  It does not lead us toward growth or responsibility.  However, systemic guilt is the guilt we feel when our family has voted one way for generations, but own research and consideration leads us to vote in an opposite way.  When our vote is different from that of our group, we may feel that it separates us from the group, and maybe we are afraid we no longer belong.  We may perceive ourselves as ‘bad’ or unacceptable.  These are very powerful feelings.  The systemic guilt generated may be so strong that, in fact, we abandon our choice to vote in a different way and choose instead to vote in a way that supports the group or we don’t vote at all.  The energetic benefits to be reaped from exercising our right to vote is lost.

If you find yourself voting against the rules of your group, whether for an election or by breaking any other rule that defines them, you are testing the limits for growth of the group.  While we may feel systemic guilt in the short run, if our  choice is based on growth, we will transform by breaking the rules.  Chances are the group will grow as well, because our choices caused them to consider new information.  Our choice for growth will be good for us personally and, in the long run, for the group as well–even if we are in opposition.  The price we pay for growth and, for that matter, democracy is the hard choice of voting from our hearts, especially when our choices contradict popular opinion.

Of course, making a decision for ourselves that is contrary to our family or group  and doing so with confidence and clarity is much easier if we have the coherence to do so.  Resonance Repatterning practitioners using the Repatternings such as “Peace Repatterning” or “Systemic Loyalties Repatterning” from Healing the Family System can help anyone clear these issues and vote with energy that spirals upward.

The nature of democracy is growth and freedom.  Addressing any patterns that are triggered within us will contribute to a deep sense of civic pride and to a stronger community and country.

Carolyn Winter

Some Thoughts About Repatterning Sessions Done As Distance Healing

By Meryl Chodosh-Weiss, L.C.S.W

Proxy sessions are distance healing sessions done solely by a practitioner on behalf of a client who has given permission for the session to occur.

When I first embraced Resonance Repatterning® as a student, I was working full-time as a psychotherapist for children who required counseling as part of their mandated individualized educational program in a public school.

Because I was spending so much time with so many people each work day, when I first began practicing I enjoyed doing proxy sessions the most.

Additionally, I had received a proxy session as my first session and experienced the positive and immediate impact of that session. Despite my not knowing when the session was to occur, I felt an immediate change in my energy and emotional state. I correctly surmised that the session had been completed.

I told myself that this process was for me!

I was so enthused about proxy sessions that at the very first, ever, Resonance Repatterning  Conference in 1996 I was on a panel to discuss this aspect of the work.

With the change in the Certification requirements that now permits proxy sessions to be a part of the mix,  one of the student practitioners in the NY Practitioners Skills Development Group last month asked me to give more information about doing proxy sessions.

There are several ways  to initiate a proxy session. Of utmost importance is getting permission from the person (or animal). Even when working with infants and animals, the parent or owner needs to ask  out loud if permission to engage in a session is granted. Pet owners and parents will usually be able to  see if permission is granted or not by the kind of response, or lack of response that is elicited.

Once  when I worked with a newborn in the presence of the mother, I saw the baby gave  definite indication that I was allowed to proceed with the session.

Proxy sessions are done without face-to-face, telephone or Skype interaction during the session. The practitioner may or may not have information about  the client’s presenting problem or  intentions. There my be no knowledge at all about why the session has been ordered or the practitioner may have this information.

If an animal or a non-verbal infant/child is the recipient, you may be given information from the parent or owner about the pet of child, but that information is not from the perspective of the child or animal. You may or may not, as determined by muscle checking for the client, use that information at all.

What is happening in a proxy session is based on the energetic reality of us all being one. With permission we are accessing the person or animal’s energy field and spiritually, their higher self, even though their physical presence is not involved.

There are no interferences,  and what you can access is the raw potency and strength of the client’s uncensored responses to their world. There is no person-to-person presence to filter anything.

This requires that the practitioner stays super centered and takes care of themselves so they can remain neutral and in complete service to their client.

The stance must be accepting , allowing and non-judgmental about anything that is derived from the books or from muscle-checked intuitive material. Nowhere is it more clear that you are the agent for the client and therefore you can not censor at all what comes out in the session.

What is in the experience of most student practitioners that is analogous is how the practitioner holds the space for the client during an Energy Constriction Release. In this process, the practitioner must sometime work on maintaining their own centeredness and their own lack of judgement. The practitioner must  postpone dealing with their own material which might be triggered by the client’s experience.

All of these considerations may be present when working in a proxy session.

Practitioner Interview: Isabel Hope Thomas by Nancy Martin

WELCOME TO ISABEL HOPE  HANAWALT THOMAS

Certified Resonance Repatterning Practitioner, Mesa, Arizona

Congratulations on completing all the requirements for certification in July 2011 and now managing the time for our interview questions!

Please tell us about yourself—what you do for a living and what is your background and education.

On April 12, 1952, I was born in Oil City, Pennsylvania, the Saturday before Easter to two wonderful people who desperately wanted a child.  After 13 years of marriage they had all but given up when I was conceived.  I was named Isabel for a much-loved, childless aunt and Hope because I was a fulfillment of all their prayers and hope.  Even my last name, Hanawalt,  provided me with a rich heritage. I was very blessed and loved right from the beginning.  Two years later came another blessing when my brother was born and completed our family.  I spent 11 years growing up in that small town before we moved to Mesa, Arizona for the remainder of my childhood.

As far back as I can remember, all I ever wanted to be was a ‘Mom.’ I even majored in Home Economics so I could be the best mom ever!  I got married in 1972 and my dream came true.  I was blessed to be a stay-at-home mom for 16 years and live in five different states.  I worked outside the home only occasionally as a volunteer in parent organizations and scouting or doing small sales like Avon and Tupperware.

Then in 1989 my 12-year-old son became ill with what was thought to be leukemia, but the doctors could not confirm their diagnosis.  They wanted us to wait and see.  For us, doing nothing was not an option, and so began a journey into alternative medicine that ended in a healthy child and me becoming a Holistic Practitioner.

I love helping people who have been told there is no hope, so my practice is called Hope Enterprises.  I have scaled my practice back to one day a week to take care of my five grandchildren.  This year my youngest, Grandie, will go to school, so I plan to expand my practice once again.  I also look forward to being more involved in Resonance Repatterning with some of the additional time.

How did you learn about Resonance Repatterning?

Now that’s a bit of a story.

The main focus of my practice was Homeopathy and Nutrition.  I believe, like Dr. Edward Bach, that all disease comes from emotions, and I used flower remedies along with the emotional aspects of other Homeopathics to address my clients’ concerns. Even though I have certifications in many various methods of emotional clearing and kinesiology, most of my clients were more comfortable taking remedies.

In 1999, on three separate occasions, three different clients told me about a process using Holographics for healing.  Another asked me if there was a faster way to be pain free than using remedies.  One client even went so far as to research the details and bring me a registration form. I always listen when something comes to me three times.  So I registered for a class on Holographic Repatterning being taught by Chloe Wordsworth and discovered I had found my home.  This method brought everything I knew into one wonderful process.  I began using it right away!  I was successful and content being a student practitioner for a long time then I felt that nudge again three plus times–so I set out on the certification journey!  And here I am certified and still helping people with Resonance Repatterning some 13 years now.

What does Resonance Repatterning mean to you?

It is a life line.

For family, clients and friends: Resonance Repatterning is a wonderful healing tool.  This powerful process has allowed quantum changes in people so they can realize their full potential and live “pain free without remedies.”  This process gives the mother in me, who wants to help and give hope to everyone, a vehicle to do just that.

For me personally:  I had just lost my mother and I grieved hard and long for her.   Resonance Repatterning gave me a way to heal myself.  I now once again have a desire to live, and my zest for life is far greater than I ever thought possible.  I love new possibilities! And my intention is to always explore them!

What are some examples of sessions that stand out in your life?

How many wonderful adjectives can you apply to this amazing process that was conceived out of the love and generosity of one fabulous woman?  Every time I see or receive a session I am quite literally blown away by the power and, dare I say, majesty of Resonance Repatterning.  To pick just one to share about is a real challenge! Being up for that challenge I have an example of the power of a positive action.

I was privileged to receive a session from Chloe.  You see I have a hard time letting go.   As a child of parents who lived through the ‘Great Depression,’ I learned that everything was saved and had value.  Having a garage that was full and had overflowed into an off-site storage unit, I needed to see that those things would also have value for others now and I did not have to keep them for my future needs.  Adding to the problem was that a lot of the things had belonged to my parents, and there was a fair amount of guilt and grief in letting go of those things.

I was also on the doorstep of a new decade of my life and I wanted a clean slate. Often a session is not what you think. While I was interested in a fabulous new decade ahead, there were other priorities afoot! I don’t remember the exact repatterning. I do remember that I felt and was powerless and would not come into my power until (positive action) the garage was cleaned out! Oh no! And it had to be done in three months! So with all good intentions my husband and I set out to clean the garage, but the door broke in half (don’t go there!) and we couldn’t even get in it. More than a year passed before I entered my new decade and celebrated my 40th wedding anniversary. We finally got the garage a new door and—presto–the garage was clean!  By now I had all but given up on my power….when two days later I realized I had been going like “a house a fire” getting things accomplished. I had clarity and was focused and, yes, I felt very powerful!! It really happened–I came into my power!

My reason for choosing to share this is to let everyone know while it is important to complete a positive action in a timely manner, just completing it for me was the most important thing!  It still brought amazing results.  So don’t give up or give in–do that positive action, shift that energy and complete those quantum changes! You’ll be glad you did.

What would you like to see the RPA do for its newest members?

How about a mentoring program? I know this is a techno world but the personal contact in my opinion cannot be substituted. In some ways I feel as though we have lost our sense of community in the Resonance Repatterning world. I realize how much work went into the “in-person” annual conferences, but I would like to see them return even if they are every two or three years. Everyone likes belonging and being supported, and those for me would be a way of providing for all of us.

Do you have a motto?

To honor God in everything I do, live by the ‘Golden Rule’ and strive to be like the women of Proverbs 31.  (31:10-31).

What five words describe you?

A friend recently called me Kaleidoscope–I rather like that.  In Greek it means beautiful.  Like the kaleidoscope, I tend to be colorful, shapely and faceted!  I am also quite loquacious and friendly, creative and intelligent.  OK that’s more than five, but then in Resonance Repatterning we tend to use positive descriptive words a lot.

If there is something special about you that you’d like to share, needless to say, we’re eager to hear.

A couple of things:

One of my favorite things to do is make people smile.  I love to find the grumpiest person in the room and get a laugh or a smile; often I get a hug as well.  In college I worked as a waitress when a BIG tip was a $1.  Once after I made a senior gentleman smile, his wife gave me a $5 tip and said it was the most pleasant meal she’d ever had with him!

I have been given the gift of song. I use it in many ways, including 16 years with a group called Faithful Heart. As a group we have recorded a gospel CD.  It is my goal to make my own CD that can be shared not just for pleasure but also for healing, balancing and overall coherence.

I’m a trained Bible study leader. I love examining the scripture to find the original meaning in Hebrew and Greek.  I am always amazed at how much is lost in the translation. In many ways it is like Resonance Repatterning–finding what was lost in the “translation.”

Resonance Repatterning Meets Astrology at Aligned for Mercury Retrograde

Resonance Repatterning Meets Astrology at Aligned for Mercury Retrograde

In 2004, a client emailed a Sunday New York Times story to me about something called Mercury Retrograde and asked, “Can you do that thing you do to address these issues?  It comes up all the time!” In fact, a number of clients, referred by an astrologer, had been mentioning this phenomena in their sessions. Of course for anyone familiar with astrology, this is a potent astrological aspect that happens at least three times per year. A short internet search at the time provided information that was primarily fear-based, and warned of strict activities one should avoid– signing contracts, buying big ticket items, long distance travel, or new product launches.

I had the opportunity to meet astrologer Julie Simmons and received a short education on Mercury Retrograde. I asked her if she saw a benefit for addressing these legends for folks with a repatterning session. Beyond my own astrological sign and its prospects for romance or money, I knew little else about astrology; however, I had already adopted the attitude that one could repattern anything.  Julie provided the broader perspective. In previous generations, a retrograde was just experienced as a natural slow- down of energy, a time to put things in order, regroup, plan etc.  Putting things off, such as signing a contract, was not a big deal as we had the time and space to do what was required. We likely intuitively knew when to postpone things as we were once more attuned with nature’s pulse.

It’s quite the opposite in our wired world of getting things done, done faster, done better, and with endless deadlines. Our world has become quite fast paced and in our day-to-day lives we are more driven perhaps to beat the clock with nature and force our will for accomplishment. We tend to be out of touch with the energy hitting earth and defy Mercury’s course. The planet in retrograde disagrees and–as the lore goes–sends out the trickster, as it is nicknamed, to make life miserable for us. If we keep pushing our energy during a retrograde, we experience accidents, things getting stuck, confused, and laced with miscommunication.

Julie was familiar with my work and quite excited about what could be done by combining our talents. She felt that participants could benefit by aligning with the energy and making the most of its positive aspects rather than concentrating on victim-oriented positions. We would do a repatterning session in their absence with the submissions forming a kind of group consciousness that changes with each session.  During the session in her role as the professional astrologer, Julie Simmons serves as the proxy for the group. She answers the questions that come up during the session, using the information submitted to us as well as her astrological background.

The sessions are interesting as well as educational.  We report the notes back online customized with participants submissions to the hologram and a video or audio message to explain any  patterns that need to come to the awareness of the group.

In the first few years, participants thought they could use the repatterning to essentially defy the planetary slowdown in energy and exert their will just the same.  Over time, participants have learned there is a natural flow to things and have experienced many rewards and sometimes, in fact, seemingly defy the retrograde energy.   For example, travel disruptions end with timely solutions–it was a hassle but things came right in the end anyway. Miscommunications are consciously averted as others come back to double check details. Old business is often brought forward for resolution, as in the case of the individual who had written off a $7000 debt only to be greeted with a check for that amount in the mail.  I am always amused at those who report spontaneously getting in the mood for housekeeping tasks and chores and putting things in order. During the last retrograde I used the energy to complete a long-standing repair to a lamp!

It has been well over eight years since Julie Simmons and I started the program, and if a hologram of energy can be built over time, I feel we have done it.  Now when you Google Mercury Retrograde the majority of articles are no longer fear-based as much as wisdom-based and advise on how to handle the energy in a positive way.  For our participants, the program continues to offer an opportunity to repattern the issues they anticipate during a retrograde, to resonate with what they would like instead, resonate with the specific positive astrological patterns of the particular retrograde and align with spontaneous right action.

You can visit Julie and I at the blog where we discuss this aspect more deeply at http://AlignedForMercuryRetrograde.com

Certification Corner

POLICY ANNOUNCEMENT

Certification Corner is a regular column of the Repatterning Journal, written by the members of the Certification Board, Clare Doyle, Mary Cameris and Paula Caplan. Each issue focuses on information about the RPA Repatterning Certification process and Certification issues.

Great news! Your certification board has been working on making modification changes for becoming a certified practitioner of the Resonance Repatterning system.  It was important for us to maintain the integrity of the Certification process while streamlining the process for students to get certified. We are happy to announce that the modifications policy was passed on August 1, 2012 and is to take effect immediately. There will also be a “grandfathering” period. The goal is for everyone who is affected by the certification modifications to have their questions answered and to apply for certification by April 30, 2013. We will allow late requests through August 31, 2013, but after that the grandfathering period will end and the Certification Requirements as modified must be met as written in the policy and certification manual.

The new requirements are:

Phase I: Learning the Resonance Repatterning Process >> No changes

Phase II: Gaining Competence

The requirements have been modified as follows:

  • Five proxy sessions must be incorporated into the existing session categories.
  • Do 75 one-hour sessions with a client was reduced to 55 (At least 35 in person, 15 video-enabled Skype, and the remaining 5 any combination of phone, audio only Skype and/or proxy).
  • Do 20 one-hour self-sessions
  • Do each of the twenty-six different Repatternings from the basic seminars on yourself.
  • ELIMINATED the requirement to give ten one-hour, one-on-one sessions to peer students.
  • ELIMINATED the requirement to receive ten one-hour, one-on-one sessions from peer students.
  • ELIMINATED the requirement to observe two one-hour sessions given by a Meridian student to a third person and give feedback.**
  • ELIMINATED the requirement to be observed by a Meridian student as you give two one-hour sessions to a third person.**
  • Receive 5 sessions from at least 2 different certified practitioners (These can be done via video-enabled Skype.)

** It is suggested that student practitioners should incorporate practice sessions that are given and received from other meridian students.

Phase III: Demonstrating Competence

No changes in the requirements, but the method by which the requirements can be met have been expanded to include technological options such as video-enabled Skype, in addition to the high-quality DVD already allowed.

GRANDFATHER POLICY:  (We understand that many student practitioners have been working toward certification for a long time or have recently become certified and we are sorry that this policy couldn’t have been developed earlier to guide your path to certification. However we are always trying to listen to the needs of membership and are trying to craft policies that support the membership while maintaining the RPA’s standards of quality. Also technology has only recently become so advanced and ubiquitous that it allows us to incorporate its use to facilitate the certification process.)

What do these change means to me, and what should I do?

There may be a number of student practitioners who find themselves closer to certification than they realized. Some may even find that they have completed all the requirements and are ready to apply to become a Certified Practitioner. The first thing one should do is to reassess where they are in the certification process in view of the policy modifications and determine what else is needed to complete the process. If you have any questions, please let us know, as much of it will be handled on a case-by-case basis. What follows are some common questions that may arise, which can guide your thought processes, but these are not official determinations. Official determinations can only be made through calling or emailing the Certification Board or in response to the submission of the Certification Process application.

FAQ’s:

Q: I completed sessions in categories that were eliminated from the certification requirements, but I didn’t finish all 55 client sessions required; what can I do?

A: You can take sessions you did in other categories if they were eliminated and include them as client sessions.

Q: I completed sessions in categories that were eliminated, but I didn’t finish all the sessions in categories that still remain, what can I do?

A: It depends upon what was done and whether it can substitute for something outstanding. In the example above, if peer sessions were given, they can easily transfer to the general category of client sessions and count toward the requirement of 55 sessions given to clients. However, if someone completed all the requirements to give sessions, but did not get sessions from anyone else, then the extra sessions given still are not a viable substitute to receiving 5 sessions from at least 2 different Certified Practitioners.

Q: How long do I have to see if sessions I did in eliminated categories count?

A We ask that all questions and applications to become a Certified Practitioner who wishes to ask for special consideration — meaning one who does not meet the newly-passed Certification requirements one-hundred percent — should be submitted by April 30, 2013.

Q: If I don’t get my application in by April 30, 2013, is there any way I could still have my questions considered?

A: We will make allowances for late applicants through August 31, 2013. However, once September 1, 2013 arrives, all applications for certification must meet the new requirements 100%.

There may be numerous other questions. Please bring them to our next student call-in conference, on Monday, September 17, 2012. The conference call will begin at 7pm Eastern Standard Time and end at 8pm. If we have time there will be a Group Repatterning. You can register by clicking here:

Next month’s journal article will have good news concerning Designated Observers.

The Practice and Refinement of Resonance Repatterning

I have been teaching Resonance Repatterning since 1995 and have been privileged to teach some amazing practitioners. I recently interviewed two of them. (Ardis Ozborn, Resonance Repatterning teacher)

Interview with Julie Steve, certified practitioner since 2010

How did you first learn about Resonance Repatterning?
A friend introduced me to a practitioner who did body scans. The scan validated the stress in my body as we explored the emotions held in the organs, and a light bulb went off in terms of my childhood traumas. She suggested a Resonance Repatterning session to identify negative thought patterns and beliefs that I was still resonating with. I began the session from a negative space and at the end I felt like wonder woman! I was ready to tackle the world. I felt so completely different each time I received a session that I decided to learn how to do this myself.

What have you enjoyed most about learning Resonance Repatterning?
I can help  become more grounded, positive and focused. When I have a problem or issue I realize it’s a pattern I can shift. I get excited about helping other people make such a transition in their sessions. When those I love have issues I can offer them a session, too.

What kind of practice have you created?
I work a lot with young women and children. I think that has a lot to do with my personal history. I relate to their experiences and feel compassion for what they are going through. Since I have dealt with many of the same issues, I can meet them where they are. I love children. Because of all my repatternings, I am more in touch with my little girl. Children know when you are being real with them. My clients help me as I help them–especially when patterns come up that I have worked on myself. It gives me a great appreciation for their process.

You are a Jehovah’s Witness and devout in your practice. Has there been any conflict for you in studying and practicing Resonance Repatterning?
No. I researched Resonance Repatterning carefully before I began my studies. No religious teaching is brought into the trainings. It is based on science, energy medicine, and psychological principles. I appreciate that very much.

You have retaken the classes many times. What has that given you?
In my Kingdom Hall we read the entire Bible through every year. Each time it deepens my faith. It’s like that when I retake the courses. Each time it builds on my depth of understanding and appreciation for it’s complexity.

Who would you recommend these seminars to?
Anyone who takes responsibility for working on one’s self could benefit. I always struggled in school and was afraid it would be like that again. I was pleasantly surprised that they were fun and easy for me. I was learning without realizing that I was learning. At the end of the day, I was amazed at the amount of energy I had. I felt so alive and absorbed so much. When I came home my energy had shifted, and those around me shifted, too. That was a bonus!

Interview with Bobbie Martin, certified practitioner and teacher from Kansas City, Missouri:

How long have you been practicing?
I started in 1997. I had a session that I enjoyed and then agreed to organize a series in Kansas City, where I took the training. I backed into it totally. I was open to new ideas. With the many things I have learned and practiced in  the past, I get what I need and move on. I have been doing this for 15 years now and I am still stimulated. There is always more to learn and grow with. It is very respectful to the client–efficient and respectful of their own timing as well. We can both relax and know that things will only come up when you are ready for them.

What was your healing background?
I was already a professional psychic with a full practice. Learning Resonance Repatterning was fun and easier than doing psychic work. It felt like play to me,  not work. I started using it with my existing clients, and it helped me reaffirm that this was led by the client not me “on the pedestal” with all the answers. I empowered my clients, and the process itself kept me intrigued. There was always something new in the sessions that I was stimulated by. With some clients I combined a little psychic work with a repatterning to go deeper when their system was ready to talk to us.

What is your Resonance Repatterning specialty?
What I do well is connect the dots for people. This is my gift. I always did this with my psychic readings. I would get  impressions, and gradually it was a kaleidoscope of pictures that led to the “aha” moments. I do this with Resonance Repatterning–I don’t consciously bring me into it. This is not psychic work. I had to make a conscious choice to make peace with that. I don’t do anything in a session, including giving my input, unless I muscle check that it is appropriate. It can sometimes be a distraction from the session. I keep my focus on honoring their system.

What have you learned along the way?
In a session I am not always sure why things are coming up, but I know it will make sense as we go through it. People value this. I have the ability to bring whole pictures together. At the end of the session they see why things came up, and it all fits. At the start of the session, I ask the client what is going on with them. I take notes and have become a very good scribe! I have learned to value their wording, even an off-hand remark. I muscle check to see if it should be included. Their words have the vibration. If I use their words, I am a good mirror for them, and they are shocked and amazed that the answers they are looking for are the words they just spoke!

This is a PhD in energy medicine. The work is so deep and life changing. When business clients come for help they soon realize that it is their energy driving their business. If it is off, what is going on with them? It’s the same for me. If my appointment base goes off, it’s not the economy.  This is my barometer. It is within me. I use Resonance Repatterning to coach business people and myself.  It’s all about energy. Once you clean up the internal issues the business or practice gets back on track.

Change Your Life Through Handwriting

Developing good habits is the basis of personal growth and development. We all know that. We also know that handwriting tells volumes about who the writer is. Therefore, by developing the habit of writing in an empowering way, we have the power to shape our lives. When I heard about Vimala Rodgers’ kit, Transform Your Life Through Handwriting, the process seemed like a perfect way to communicate with my subconscious, and I immediately bought it.

Vimala recommends practicing forming letters in the new, empowering way daily. She confidently affirms that your life will experience miracles while using this program. Vimala states that each of the letters holds within them, a rich depth of spiritual essence. For each letter, she describes its nature and how to inscribe it.

The letter “O,” for example, “ generates compassion, kindness and understanding. To write it, start at the top and make a circle in a clockwise direction, uncluttered with no loops or hooks.” Keep it simple. Because we write from a left to right direction, the right is about the future and reaching out toward others. When we form the letter “O” in a counterclockwise direction, we are unconsciously looking in the direction of the past, toward the facts, with little consideration at how the listener might feel. When we inscribe the letter in a clockwise direction, we are better able to see the beauty, the truth, and the gifts that lie beyond the mere facts. I mention this letter in particular because as a teacher and a counselor, inscribing the letter “O” simply and in a clockwise direction has enabled me to more strongly love, to see clearly, and to truly understand those with whom I work.

How handwriting has helped me:

Vimala states that miracles will happen if one practices writing letters as she describes. It has been over 40 days since I have been practicing my Vimala Rodgers alphabet. I would like to tell you of my miracles. Maybe these miracles would have happened without this practice, but just the same, I plan to continue this practice. First of all, when I practice my handwriting, it seems as if my mind is expanding, and I feel happier. During these 40 days, I bought new clothes–bright, happy, comfortable clothes. I threw out clothing that did not suit me any more. I started wearing makeup daily. I began getting weekly massages. I became more serious about my food choices, avoiding wheat and dairy products. I consulted an interior designer and am in the process of updating my home and office furnishings.

In other words, my level of self-care has been amped up. People are telling me that I look pretty, they are treating me with higher respect. And–icing on the cake– a friend introduced me to a an attractive, interesting man.

How I have used handwriting with my clients:

Look at first letter of a client’s name: Vimala states that the first letter of one’s first name holds your greatest gift and greatest struggles. If a client is stuck, I have started noticing how the quality of the letter that person’s first name might assist them in some way. For example, as a speech pathologist, I was teaching smart, sensitive five-year-old Ally how to say the “S” sound. (The letter “A” has the quality of Spiritual stardom, transforming ego into Spirit.) After a halfhearted attempt, Ally said, “I can’t.” There was no convincing her otherwise. I paused, then changed the subject. I asked her, “Would you like to learn how to make a star “A?” The letter “A” is the only letter in the alphabet that can be made like a star. Your name starts with an “A,” so that makes you a star, too.” She was very interested in forming this star “A.” After tracing the letter “A” several times, we went back to attempting the “S” sound. Miracle: She could say it! Even bigger miracle: She temporarily lost the ability to say it, but she continued to practice this new way of saying “S.”

By practicing writing the letters ourselves, we make an effect on our clients. One day I was assigned to go new a school to do speech therapy for a new student. However, the teacher only wanted me to observe. I felt angry and felt I was prevented from making a difference in this child’s life. While at that school, observing that child, I remembered the energy of the letter “e” that is about tolerance, and its declaration of intent is “I may be wrong”–very powerful words! The energy of that letter softened my heart. I realized that I could benefit by simply observing this shy child. When I left, I gave the teacher suggestions as to how to support his improved speech. In hindsight, this child felt very insecure about his speech and would succeed more quickly by working with his familiar and loved teacher. Thank you letter “E!”

We can encourage clients to practice writing as homework. One of my clients was in a panic. Her husband wanted a divorce and her two best friends were near death. What could I do to support her through such horrendous experiences? I suggested that she buy Vimala’s handwriting kit. She bought that kit, and this is what she said about her experience after practicing the program for 40 days:

Overall, I’ve become much more calm and grounded, happy, stable, joyful and grateful, and reasonable. My mind is clearer, making my life clearer.

I’ve realized I am happy with or without J–I don’t have the desperate feeling (as much) of thinking of us not being together. My happiness depends on MYSELF. I realized I cannot to look to others for my own happiness.

Remember those lobster boats that used to start sometimes at 4:30 AM and run their engines for 8+ hours, making me want to jump out of my skin?? Well, so far this summer, it’s been at least half as much, and the noise doesn’t bother me nearly as much as it used to… give up the need to control, huh… I think this has been my biggest problem, and my 40 days of “M” ends on Thursday.

Yesterday I drove myself to the beach, alone, and walked on the sand. I can’t remember the last time I went alone–the parking lot there makes me nervous about needing to back up when I leave (it’s from the PTSD – fear of driving), and it was no problem for me.

On Friday, I got dressed in two different cute outfits and went out twice, alone, and actually enjoyed driving.“M” again–“I am at ease in all situations,” and I’ve been writing, “I am at ease driving.” Guess what?–(surprise, surprise!) I really was at ease.

This simple, inexpensive process can open the door to a happy life. I knew it would make a difference in my life as soon as I heard about it. If it resonates with you, I suggest you consider picking up your pen and start writing.

“Be” the Change

Change is inevitable! It is the only thing consistent in life. You can either resist it, or embrace it like an adventure. It is not always easy to do, but it is necessary if you want to live an extraordinary life.

One way you can embrace the changes that are occurring in your life is by acknowledging your part in the change. I remember doing a Resonance Repatterning® session on a woman who hated her job and wanted out. She was procrastinating about looking for a new one, even though she really wanted something more rewarding. We identified her unconscious pattern of ‘not deserving better’ and shifted her resonance to deserving a creative outlet for her gifts and talents and getting paid well for them. Lo and behold, when she went into work on Monday, she was fired. She called me irate and blamed me for being fired. I encouraged her to look how powerful she was and how fast the universe provided her with verification of her new resonance.  I reminded her how difficult it was for her to take action to look for what she really wanted in a job and that now was her opportunity to be grateful for the opportunity and embrace it.  I acknowledged her for coming in for a session and taking action on discovering ‘her part’ that was keeping her from her heart’s desire. I encouraged her to see this as a gift and to take advantage of the time she now had to create the ‘job of her dreams’.

Another example could be a partner wanting to move on and leaving the relationship that you have been in for some time. The more you take responsibility for how you caused this or the part you played, rather than blaming the other, the quicker you can be at peace and see the opening you have to grow and learn from the relationship and let them go. Would you really want to be with someone who does not really want to be with you? You could then evaluate what worked and what did not work in the relationship, give yourself time to heal and then prepare to draw to you an even better partner. I am not saying that all this is simple; however, if you embrace the change rather than fighting it, you will have more energy to move forward with ease and grace.

Another concept I like to use in my own life is to ‘be’ the change I am looking for. One day I did an experiment with my father. It seemed to me that when he called me he was reporting how things were going with him and his new family. He would tell me all the things I wished I had done with him when I was young, but since we did not live together, my siblings and I did not get to do many activities. I found myself getting envious of what they were getting that I did not. What was missing for me in his calls was acknowledgment for who I was in his life. So, I started acknowledging him for being such a great father to his other three children and how fortunate they were to get to do all the things they were doing and to have him as a Dad. After just two phone calls, he started asking about me and my life and acknowledged me for being such a great daughter. He also acknowledged me for how much of a difference I was making in my client’s lives. These were things he had not told me before. So, the very thing I thought was missing, I gave him, and in the very giving of it, I experienced acknowledgement and seemingly out of the blue, he gave to me the very thing I was previously missing. It was quite remarkable. The switch was very dramatic. So, if there are qualities you are lacking in relationship with others, ‘be’ that quality with them or bring that quality to the situation and watch how you are actually experiencing the very quality you previously thought was missing. You will be amazed.

‘Be’ the change, and you can live an extraordinary life filled with everything you desire – a life where you can hardly wait to get up and one that is overflowing with love, joy, passion and fulfillment.
